I would definitely recommend this trip!

Our guide was very accommodating to other passengers with a disabled person and another person who had to get to the airport a couple of hours after the tour ended..she helped arrange a taxi for them. The guide I can’t remember her name was not Icelandic (Greek) but she had quite a bit of knowledge to share although her accent was a little hard to understand. But all in all the trip went very well we got to see everything and she gave good instructions on where she would be waiting to pick us up at each stop. She factored in a lunch stop aswell.

We did the golden circle, the peninsula, and this tour and it was by far our favourite. The sites were absolutely incredible. Every stop on the tour was excellent. Wouldn’t change a thing. Nico was an incredible driver and made sure the experience was great. Bathrooms at every stop and Nico would stop at a rest stop if needed. Also lots of food options but we still packed a lunch

It’s gorgeous and relaxing! Staff were mostly very pleasant and very helpful. The only one that wasn’t was the girl (at the exit point). She was very rude and also hard to understand. The bus ride was a bit confusing, as we had to take 2 buses (a transfer) to get there. Coming back was better-she took us straight back to the cruise ship. Also, the few things that were confusing resulted in my leaving my jean (denim) jacket there . CAN YOU ASK THE STAFF AT THE SKY LAGOON AND THE BUS DRIVERS WE HAD IF THEY FOUND IT AND COULD CONTACT ME AT 561-358-9191?

Relaxing!

What a wonderful way to start our vacation! We left the airport and went straight to Sky Lagoon. The light rain didn't damper the experience. Bring a waterproof phone case to take pictures. The 7 steps were unbelievable. It was so enjoyable we went back the day we flew out. This time, the sun was out and we had blue sky.

Great day

Saw a lot of whales! The captain was able to find a location and we settled there (being respectful of the whales) while several humpbacks and a plethora of dolphins entertained us, almost as if choreographed. Naturalist/narrator was outstanding. Easy to understand, gave good information and didn’t talk too much. Naturalist who was stationed at the bar was charming and welcoming.

This is a great experience. The guide is really good, Cave itself is very small but getting there and out of there gives you the F1 Road experience which you may not have in your itinerary, on the way back he stopped at a POI where its only vast expanse of black sand against the backdrop of green mountains. view to die for. The Katla Ice Cave tour was one of the most magical experiences of my entire Iceland trip. The landscape itself was incredible—standing inside a natural ice cave, it felt like stepping into another world. Every turn revealed something new, from the textures and colors of the ice to the dramatic glacier scenery surrounding us. What made the experience truly unforgettable, however, was our guide, Helgi. He was knowledgeable, funny, engaging, and clearly passionate about Iceland's glaciers and natural history. He had a wonderful way of making everyone feel comfortable while also sharing fascinating information throughout the tour. One of my favorite memories was when he helped us create glacier rainbows in the ice. It was such a simple but beautiful moment that perfectly captured the wonder of the experience. Those little moments are what transform a great tour into an unforgettable one. Helgi's enthusiasm, sense of humor, and genuine love for what he does made the tour even more special. By the end, it felt less like following a guide and more like exploring with someone who was excited to share one of Iceland's greatest treasures. And I definitely recommend you try the water. Thank you for an amazing adventure. Of all the incredible things I experienced in Iceland, the Katla Ice Cave remains one of the memories I find myself smiling about most.
