This Golden Circle day trip meets in Reykjavik. Once in your vehicle, set off on Iceland’s Golden Circle circuit. A guide tells you about the ecosystem of the areas you visit during the day.
Your first stop, Kerid Crater, isn’t part of the regular Iceland Golden Circle adventures, but is well worth a stop. Enjoy a visit to the volcanic crater before moving on to see Strokkur geyser.
After Strokkur, stop at the stunning Gullfoss Falls and then head to Thingvellir National Park.
At the national park, learn about the park’s movement of its tectonic plates. Once your Iceland Golden Circle tour is over, it drops you back off in Reykjavik.

We had a great day. Darren was awesome.! He was very knowledgeable and personable.The stops were amazing.! Also our bus driver was awesome too!!
Sunny was an excellent guide! She was very knowledgeable and friendly. All sites were great too. Definitely bring a water bottle for the ride, as it’s a long day. However, there are a few places where you can buy food and drinks.
The stops on the tour are beautiful to see! The large bus made it difficult to get in and out and our guide would say to follow him but he did not wait for everyone to get out of the bus and we never saw him by the time we were out of the last row. I also wish more information was given about the places we were seeing as we were driving to it. The views of the waterfall and crater were fantastic!
I really enjoyed the Golden Circle tour! Every stop was beautiful and definitely worth seeing. My only suggestion would be to allow a little more time at each location because some of the stops felt a bit rushed. I would’ve loved more time to explore and really take everything in. Other than that, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend it!
Excellent tour by knowledgeable staff member.
Pick up was at allotted time and entry onto bus was by calling booked name, so wasn’t a free for all, mad dash for seats.
Lucky with weather so could see all sites.

I had a fun time. Some folks couldn’t figure out how to get to the bus on time but that was at no fault of the tour guide. Heidi was very knowledgable and interactive.

Eva and Robert were excellent hosts. The fun facts and interesting stories were the cherry on top. Eva even sang us a beautiful song since the radio didn’t work. They made it a fun day.

Stunning landscapes, very unique places and geological sites. Truly eye-opening, very enjoyable and it’s truly excellent experiences for life time.
This was a great way to see the area around Reykjavik, learn some history and information about the culture, and meet some fellow travelers. Our guide Darren was fabulous, and the driver “Captain Thor” made it all seem seamless, despite some wind and rain. Even with what is (apparently typical) not-so-great Icelandic weather, we had a good time. Tip: the restaurants at the sites are very expensive, as are all the restaurants in Iceland. A large bowl of soup was at least $20. Bring scarves, slickers, maybe water repellent pants. Umbrellas didn’t work well in the wind.
Brilliant day with Andrea. Great English, very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Gave us lots of information as we drove around and guided us at the stops too. We were on the Golden Triangle and Kerid crater tour.

Prior to arrival in Iceland my two friends and I got together to choose excursions and the Golden Circle was the one I chose. We all loved it - the waterfall, the geysers, and the National Park. The stops were perfect, we got beautiful pictures to show everyone at home. Our tour guide ( his name started with an S, I have no idea how to spell it) was very knowledgeable and had a wonderful singing voice! He played music and told stories about Iceland culture and life in Iceland. We all Really enjoyed the day, learned a lot, and saw the amazing and beautiful landscape of Iceland!
It is a good experience, but the stops are too short, and we didn't get enough time to experience each highlight sufficiently. Our guide Jessica and driver Michael were very good.
Anna was our tour guide, and she was very energetic. The tour was good. We didn’t feel rushed at any of the stops.
The onboarding process at the port was disorganized and confusing. Multiple busses without any coordination. We almost missed our bus in spite of being at the site 30 minutes early because of the confusion.. This started off the tour with high stress. Putting that behind us, the tour was generally good. Our time in Husavik was very short and we could not see the "Eurovision" sites.

Thank you for your feedback. There appears to be a mix-up with the activity reviewed here. This listing is for our Golden Circle and Kerið tour from Reykjavík. Húsavík is not part of this itinerary and is located in a completely different area of Iceland, a 5.5-hour drive from the place you visited on the tour.
Great route to check out main iconic sites in 1 day. Washrooms and food are available at most stops.

Staff was friendly and helped me catch another bus because my plane was delayed and I couldn't make my original pick up spot. The tour was easy, the locations were beautiful. There were rest stops with clean bathrooms and food along the way. Was a great way to spend a long layover.
Fairly easy walks, but generally on uneven surface. Beautiful views, well guided tour, while adequate time was provided for picture taking, and bathroom breaks, there is no time for lingering. Good value for the time, and places covered

Loved the crater and the waterfall!
The geyser was underwhelming. Long wait for a eye blink of an eruption. No pix, b/c not worth the wait to maybe get a shot.
The UNESCO site was dramatic, but not as expected. Had hoped to stand with one foot on each tetonic plate. Not sure where that idea came from, but not an option.
Anna, our guide, was delightful stopping early on for rest stop & awesome baked goods. She was extremely friendly and informative. 5 stars!
It’s advertised as introductory and it is. Staff are all friendly and helpful but the amount of time in most locations is too short - especially at the waterfall. If you are active and quick, it’s okay but those a little slower may not see as much

This tour is designed as an introductory Golden Circle experience covering several major attractions in one day, so the time at each stop has to be balanced across the full itinerary. We understand that guests who prefer a slower pace, or who need a little more time walking between viewpoints, may feel that some stops are short.

This tour was amazing. Our guide was very knowledgeable. The scenery was otherworldly. We had an excellent time. 100% recommend this tour!
Bus Travel Iceland were great, I was joining the tour from a cruise, but was greatly delayed disembarking. Panicking that I would miss my pickup I messaged and they changed my pickup to the port. My luggage was able to go underneath the coach, so it was perfect and communication was great.
The tour itself was just spectacular. Marvin our guide was very informative and always open to questions. We visited three spots, the Almannagjá Gorge, where the tectonic plates meet, the Getser Centre and the Golden Waterfall. All in it took 71/2 hours. Take snacks and water. There are toilets at each of the stops and also a chance to have lunch.
Excellent tour. Our tour guide Andrea was brilliant and very informative She also has a beautiful singing voice.
Only problem was the air con didn't work on the bus, but this didn't spoil our day out. Would thoroughly recommend.
