Itinerary
This Golden Circle day trip meets in Reykjavik. Once in your vehicle, set off on Iceland’s Golden Circle circuit. A guide tells you about the ecosystem of the areas you visit during the day.
Your first stop, Kerid Crater, isn’t part of the regular Iceland Golden Circle adventures, but is well worth a stop. Enjoy a visit to the volcanic crater before moving on to see Strokkur geyser.
After Strokkur, stop at the stunning Gullfoss Falls and then head to Thingvellir National Park.
At the national park, learn about the park’s movement of its tectonic plates. Once your Iceland Golden Circle tour is over, it drops you back off in Reykjavik.

Our driver Victor was great, and our guide Kristi was informative and patient. The itinerary was good for the time allotted. The driver was able to drop us off at a requested site in town.

The Golden Circle tour is amazing and our guide Sonny was very knowledgeable and helpful. Bus driver Tomic was very careful and did an amazing job getting into tight parking spaces.

Fantastic tour. Sven is an amazing guide! We enjoyed every stop. Weather was perfectly sunny and warm.

The tour operator sent us a text the night before and suggested we add on the Secret Lagoon. It was an incredible suggestion!
Our guide Sunni was amazing - funny, full of great information, talkative at the right time and quiet at the right time. And the driver Tomak did an incredible job as well.
5 of 5 stars would 💯 recommend!

This tour took us through all the amazing sights in the Golden Circle!! We had a legit blast with our guides Darren and Symon, who provided us with fun Icelandic history and lore. The waterfall and the geysers were the highlight for us! (Sprayed with water in both locations)

Absolutely wonderful tour. Anna and Robert were great! Loved the falls - I did not realize they would be as impressive as they were.

Meeting point set at Bus #12 at Reykjavik city centre. Our ship arrived at 8 am actually and my hubby and I rushed to the bus stop just before the starting time at 9 am. Then we waited until a tour guide told us that our meeting point changed to the port terminal. Then we called the Viator and the customer service told us that the guidr had already sent us a message about this. I then told her that we have no internet access at the ship so we missed the message. We were told we had to take a taxi to a petrol station to join the tour. Also, the agent told us to pay for the taxi fee first and later tried to claim it back from Viator. I'll contact the Viator again once we have finished our cruise ship, see if the Viator would do something about this!

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the confusion regarding the pickup. Due to your concern about arriving late from the ship, a message was sent offering pickup directly from the harbor to help you avoid missing the tour. Unfortunately, as that message was not seen, you went to the original meeting point instead. We regret the inconvenience this caused and appreciate you sharing your comments.

Lot of driving around on the bus. However, the views were spectacular and the bus was comfortable. The geyser was turned on and erupted on schedule. The water was flowing at the waterfall and the Kerid Crater was still there with a beautiful green pool of water at the bottom.

A bit muddled in the beginning which coach to get on at port, Good value for money, guide very informative

The experience was absolutely beautiful! Our guide, Jessica, was so knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. There was so much history that she told us about, as well as cultural information about Iceland. She gave us wonderful recommendations once we entered back into Reykjavík. Lucas was a great driver too. So friendly and I felt very safe going around.

Superb from start to finish. Firstly I had booked for the wrong date and had to change dates within 24 hours of the tour date. All handled efficiently by the online team.
On to the tour now.
Our driver Robert and guide Tomas were fantastic throughout and they were aided all day by Lukka the Scottish sheepdog.
We had great weather and all 4 stops on the tour lived up to and exceeded our expectations. We came away with some great photos and memories of the day.

Darren was really good explaining the history
and characteristics of the land. We enjoyed the entire experience. He gave us enough time at each spot. Kept the whole tour on time and entertaining.

We had a fantastic day tour and giuseppe our guide was good. The places we visited were fabulous and giuseppe rearranged the itinerary to make sure we didn't have the huge crowds which was good. The only down sides were 1. At the start of the tour there was a huge group of customers and 5 coaches. It seemed a bit disorganised maybe this could be rethought and organised a little better. And 2. The coach we had was HOT! The fans didn't seem to work and we had very little cool air on the coach. From what I understand because the tours were so busy they got in extra coaches and ours was one of these. Other than this we had a lovely full day tour and I would recommend.

Excellent tour - a wonderful day with four great stops on the Golden circle - Danie our tour guide was brilliant telling us very interesting information along the way and bring most helpful when we stopped at the destinations with times and showing us where to go etc. A wonderful way to see these beautiful places. Thank you
Barbara_D, Jun 2026
This tour hits some of the highlights outside of Reykjavik. The scenery is so interesting. We saw waterfalls, fissures, geysers, and a crater lake. Tota was a very good guide and very informative.
Amy_T, Jun 2026
Our tour guide lacked personality but he made the best of a bad situation when our bus broke down and we made an extra stop to visit a beautiful greenhouse. Excellent tour!
Teresa_M, Jun 2026
It was great. Moves at a fast pace so focus on seeing the sights instead of gift shop/eating/bathrooms or you might miss out
Shmuel_D, Jun 2026
that it is unique and well organized with given time for both seeing the wonderful places as well as relaxing with coffee
Carol_R, Jun 2026
It was an excellent variety of things to see. Even though it was a long day, it didn't feel like a long day. It gave a great sample of each place so that if we wanted to revisit any of the spots we knew where we would want to go back to on our own. The driver, Sindri was informative and entertaining and accommodating. We really enjoyed the day.
esther_r, Jun 2026
Very knowledgeable guide. While driving he told us many stories. Gave us good information of where we were going. Very safe driving.
Marc_K, Jun 2026
Very worth doing. Rosa and Yusef did a great job. The geysers were impressive and Strokkur went off so often that if you missed the last blast, the next one was only a few minutes away. The Gullfoss allows you to get close enough to feel the spray and get some lovely shots. And finally the crater, if you're able bodied, you can still take the path all the way down to the water of the lake inside.

Great tour guide, lots of info.
The tour was too big, too crowded. The bus is old, seats are tight and uncomfortable. If you're going to offer an 8-1/2 hour tour at least offer comfortable accommodations. So close to everyone else on the bus coughing and sneezing right on me.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you found the tour guide informative. We are sorry that the bus comfort did not meet your expectations. On full departures, seating can feel tighter, and the vehicles used are standard touring buses for Iceland. We appreciate your comments and will keep them in mind.

It was a really enjoyable trip, enough time to look around, also a guide told us interesting inf about Iceland during the trip
Mehves_D, May 2026
Fabulous experience. Feeding horses, Geysir, waterfall and crater were incredible. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Shad_F, May 2026
Darren was a personable tour guide. His easy going personality helped the tour go smoothly. The beauty of Iceland’s can only speak for itself.
Mig_O, May 2026
It is a fascinating tour. We visited four places; the largest natural lake in Iceland, an active geyser, a waterfall, a crater ( formerly a volcano), and as a bonus, we stopped to pet some horses. The “emcee” was very charming and entertained us with funny stories, along with interesting information about the places we visited. Iceland is lucky to have Humus! lol
Lana_B, May 2026
There was not enough time at most of the stops. You walk down 300m to see a spot and then have to run back up to make it in time for the meet up. If you go to the bathroom, you are already late. There is light here until late at night so I don't get the rush. And it's not a cheap tour. We did not learn much. Also, they told us we MUST be at the pick-up at 9am and then picked us up at 9:31am. Everyone that booked the tour got there around 8:40am (as you should) so we were waiting in the freezing cold all that time. If the meet-up is at 9, a professional company would make sure to be there before that time as it happened with all the other companies we ever booked with.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry the pace of the tour did not meet your expectations. Stop times are generally allocated at around 30 to 40 minutes, which allows guests to visit each location, although not always to explore every area in depth. We would also like to clarify that pickup operates within a stated window from 09:00 to 09:30, as pickups are made across Reykjavík.
MariaHelena_R, May 2026
Great day trip, where all went as planned. Petra was a nice guide, with clear comments on each attraction. In my opinion, we could have skipped the stop to pat the horses, as they were a bit nervous about all the many people putting their hands on them. Maybe just watching and leaving the animals on their own to enjoy their lives without our interference would be better.
