All the sites we visited were beautiful, and the tour went smoothly. Our guide, Sara, was outstanding. She is very knowledgeable about her incredible country and shared information with us that most guides don't, such as her favorite music and hangout spots. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Sara.

The tour itself was OK. The guide was doing a good job even sharing his own personal hotspot on board the bus so that my wife and I can access the internet. The part that I dislike most was the pick up process. We were pick up by a smaller bus from a hotel and transferred to the actual big bus for the tour. It had two drawbacks 1) longer waiting time, and 2) when we board the big bus, my wife and I had to sit separately.
I could have booked a small group tour instead of the regular tour. Ot was just too crowded for me.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad the guide was helpful during the tour. The smaller vehicle is used to collect guests from different pickup points before transferring them to the main coach. Seating on shared tours is first come, first served, so seats together cannot always be guaranteed. We understand that a small-group tour may have suited you better, and we have this option available online.

I had a great experience on this tour. I do wish we had more time at the glacier. I was able to touch it but had to turn around and run back because we did not have enough time. That being said, everything else was great.

Tour was amaazing..our guide ..she is amazing ..all stops are worth seing ...she even recommended in doing the falls that we are going to get wet do last because she doesnt want us to get wet all day on the trip😄 thank you so much

This was a great tour. With all of the geographical changes, temperature changes and tour guide education we were receiving along the way, it made it even all the more engaging.

Worst experience ever. Tour Guide-Kristi was hard to understand with thick accent. She left two Chinese passengers at Black Sand Beach. We were 2 1/2 hours away from Reykavik. We waited 20 minutes. And, then we left them stranded in the middle of nowhere. She was so flippant about it. “They will just have to find a way back to Reykavik. The nice thing about Iceland is that it’s light out 24/7. I tried calling office but no one answered. Usually someone answers but no one answered.” Ruined entire trip.
Your was like being on Amazing Race. You got to waterfall. Had 45 min to put on waterproof clothing, climb falls, and run back to bus. Impossible. We were were so afraid of being stranded we skipped some of the things to explore because there was not enough time.
Kristi said Bus Driver from Poland and he had a flight back to Poland that night. Bus driver almost killed us. He tried passing other tour buses and car on 2 lane roads. One tour bus would not let him pass, they started honking and trying to not let him in. So scary. He almost killed us. This happened several times.
Little girl vomited all over in bus. Kristi did nothing to help. We would stop at sites, garbage overflowing on bus. Kristi had nothing to do. Could not even empty garbage. Bus driver fell asleep at one of the stops. Had to bang on door to wake him up.
Still can’t believe Kristi stranded 2 Chinese passengers 2 1/2 hours outside of Reykavik in the middle of nowhere and could care less.
Was on another tour from this company and they don’t do head counts. Other tour guide said he left two passengers somewhere because he didn’t do headcount and another time a couple got on wrong tour bus and they left.
Never again. Beware. They will leave you if you are not on bus. They do not care.
Would never use this company again. She was hard to understand. Not enough time to enjoy sights. Not enough time to go behind waterfall or explore other waterfall.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that the experience left such a negative impression on you. We would like to clarify that, after the stop, the missing guests had boarded a bus from a different company, and we attempted to contact them before continuing the route. We also note that stop times are set to allow guests time to explore while keeping the full-day itinerary on schedule. We regret that you were dissatisfied with the pace of the tour and the overall experience.

Long day out but worth it .stunning scenery. Our guide Tonya was absolutely amazing so knowledgeable and funny
Lauren_C, Jun 2026
An amazing experience, besides the fact our tour guide Kristie, she left an older couple at the black sand beach, know one ever went looking for them and she refused to contact them. We then later found out our bus driver was trying to catch a flight so that was the reason we couldn’t wait and Kristie was hoping we could have time to stop and get ice cream. So we left them and the rest of us on the bus were admit that we wait or look for them.

Sadly, only giving 3 stars after experiencing an absolutely perfect excursion the day before, this tour failed to compare. Yes, the south beach day trip is a definitely recommendation - Black sand beach was amazing! Touching a glacier and the beautiful waterfalls are a must see! However, I would not recommend Bus Travel Iceland as the provider. The day before they contacted me to say our pickup time changed from 8am to 9am. I'm not sure what the issue was, but all I know was a few of us were picked up from bus stop 1 in a small group bus, then taken to a gas station to meet up with the full-size coach bus. The transfer driver referred to this as a "Prisoner Exchange", which tells me that this is a regular occurrence. When the 6 of us met the coach bus, the bus was very full. Only 6 extra seats with not the friendliest of passengers who wanted to share a seat with you. Once the awkwardness was finished of finding a seat (and none of us being able to sit with our travel partners), the bus departed for the first stop. We never learned the name of the tour guide or the bus driver until near the end of the day. The tour guide was knowledgeable but failed to inform us that the bathrooms at one of the waterfalls required a fee. A very long day. I recommend the excursion but hope you have a better pick up and travel experience to ensure a more enjoyable day! Beware if any pickup times are changed!
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that the operational side of the day left a poor impression. In some parts of Reykjavík, pickup is done by minibus before joining the main coach, which helps complete pickups more efficiently across the city. We also regret that your group could not sit together and that practical details, including facilities at stops, were not communicated clearly enough.

This was a really good tour. We saw so much. Best of all was climbing the steps to the top pass one waterfall and walking behind another. Walking to and from the glacier was great too.
Cheryl_R, Apr 2026
It was a longish day but very worth it. Jessica was an entertaining and knowledgeable guide and Robert was a very professional driver. The weather wasn’t great, however it was a wonderful day.
Madison_M, Apr 2026
This tour was incredible! We had an amazing tour guide who shared lots of history and fun facts about each sight we went to. This tour is a MUST for anyone who wants to explore some of Iceland’s most beautiful sights. This was my favorite tour of my entire trip!
Nemya_O, Apr 2026
Best tour and awesome tourist guide very knowledgeable. We had the tour yesterday April 22,2026 sorry i forgot the name of the tour guide. But his so nice, he had so much fun in this tour.
Louise_M, Apr 2026
We went on this tour a couple of days ago and had a fabulous time. We were super lucky with the weather but all the spots we stopped at would have been stunning in any weather. Highly recommend taking the opportunity to go down onto the beach at Vik and taking the path behind the waterfall at Seljalandsfoss (if you've got waterproofs!). Our guide Marieke was lovely and got us around smoothly.
Jennifer_K, Apr 2026
The sites are beautiful but it is a long day of driving. Also be aware that you will
Need good walking/hiking shoes preferably water proof. The walking is on stone and gravel and sometime filled with water. Also rain gear is helpful for any rain in the forecast

First have to thank the driver and mr. GIUSEPPE for making this trip just amazing. Lovely people on the tour we visited alot of waterfalls and volcanic places if love nature u gotta do this trip
Stephanie_L, Apr 2026
Very nice tour. This was very interesting and Eagle (Our tour guide) had a great sense of humor which made the tour more fun. He gave us recommendations on food, safes way to enjoy the black sand beach, and other tips like the water in the waterfall to freshen up. Iceland is beautiful but this side of Iceland really is sight to see. We want to visit again but in summer to better enjoy the landscapes with their green scenery since we went in wintertime. I have to admit that I was a little worried at first because of another experience with this same company where the experience was not bad but had a big room for improvement on service and I thought that every tour with this company’s was going to be the same but it turns out it was just one of those unlucky days since we had a great time and had no hiccups in this tour with Eagle.
Thank you Eagle! Hopefully when we return in summer, we get this tour with you again.
P.D. Always listen to your guide, there tips are always right, they definitely know best lol.

This was a favorite amongst our group of travelers and such an easy way to the South Coast of Iceland. The waterfalls, black sand beach, and glacier were breathtaking. Our tour guide was upbeat, funny, informative and kept everyone on schedule. I would highly recommend this tour to other travelers.
Stylianos_K, Apr 2026

It was a really nice trip, very well planned.
We saw all the points mentioned on the description.
Also we had stops where we can buy affordable food (for Iceland standards).
I am really satisfied :)
PALGHAT_G, Mar 2026
Excellent tour. Picked up at right time. All places mentioned in the advertisement were shown and explained well by the guide Eva. Correct amount of time provided in each attraction. Very friendly guide and driver. Very safe driving.
Yvette_d, Mar 2026
Enjoyed this excursion. The tour guide was very good, he made sure to tell us a lot about the roads, areas we traveled as we made our way to each stop. The tour itself was "upgraded" to a smaller group, although that's usually a plus for most people, it was not for us, this was a smaller bus, space, so the driving on windy roads gave my daughter motion sickness causing her to be sick in the bus. Thankfully I had a bag and we were actually in the process of a stop so that was a relief, but overall the trip went well, we visited some beautiful places, the tour guide stopped us at 2 places not scheduled but quick stops for photos, and we got there and back safely. Recommend the tour.
Cristina_P, Mar 2026
Wonderful experience seeing parts of Iceland and not have to worry about transportation. We were picked up at the bus stop close to our hotel. The guide Juliana and driver Jon made the excursion more memorable with the info they shared about the locations we visited plus the careful driving on a very windy day. Highly recommend!!
kavan_r, Mar 2026
Very cool full day tour on the South Coast of Iceland seeing all the best spots, timings and organisation good, our guide Jurri was good and we enjoyed the day a lot.
Brian_H, Mar 2026
Giuseppe and driver Hero were outstanding at explaining Iceland, keeping the big group on time, and giving us breaks and photo opportunities. It was a big tour bus (45 ppl) but Iceland and the sights have plenty of room so it didn’t feel cramped. The tour bus was comfortable and they made sure we were at a comfortable temperature (cold outside but also very sunny). Well worth the price, if you hired your own car you would likely spend as much or more on the experience, if you even knew where to go. They didn’t just drive us and drop us off , Giuseppe came with us and explained everything, was running through the parking lot and calling people to keep the stragglers on time. Beautiful views of Iceland, great day that went quick with all the stops. 10/10 would recommend.
treyana_f, Mar 2026
Super organized excursion, we made a bunch of stops & got to see many bits of Iceland, they even threw in an extra stop! Everything was so beautiful! My boyfriend & I loved it!! We went it April & It was actually the first day of summer while we were there. Super cool to experience.
Suzanne_R, Mar 2026
We had a beautiful weather for our tour with Kristy as our guide. The waterfalls were anmazing and the black sand beach was very nice. I highly recommend this tour.
ErlinaJane_T, Mar 2026
The south coast tour itself was lovely. The views are amazing, even the weather was really nice during our tour. But the reason why I only gave 3 stars was because our tour guide Kristi did not really seem that happy with what she was doing. Her personality as a guide was so flat and she seemed to be lacking of energy from the start to finish of the tour. When the bus arrived, there wasn't any sign that it was for the South Coast, so naturally, when the bus door opened, my husband asked her if it was the one for South Coast and she responded in what seemed to be an annoyed manner that it was. Secondly, the bus did not have any wifi at all, we brought this up to the guide but I think it has something to do with the bus router. Our driver, Hiro, was good, he made sure to bring us safely to each location.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for your feedback.
We’re genuinely sorry to hear your experience with Kristi felt flat and unwelcoming, especially at the start of the tour. That’s not the standard we aim for, and we will review this internally with the team to understand what happened and make sure it doesn’t happen again.
Regarding the Wi-Fi: we did have a technical issue on that departure, and it has since been fixed.
Thank you again for taking the time to share this. It helps us improve.

Great excursion. Fantastic waterfalls and beautiful black sand beaches
Well done. Thank you very much
Camilla_W, Mar 2026
Very well planned out tour with plenty of breaks. Definitely worth doing to see the beautiful scenery down the south coast. Even though we had bad weather, high winds and heavy rain, it didn't ruin the amazing natural wonders.
