Devin was an amazing guide. He was knowledgeable and was able to find a great spot to view the northern lights with his first choice. We enjoyed the northern lights for over 2 hours, while he enthusiastically took pictures of us with his professional camera and skills. A very enjoyable tour. Highly recommend it!

Pick up was easy and the van was comfortable. We lucked out with an awesome showing of lights for a full 1-1/2 hours+ of non stop activity!! It was so worth it to have the driver take great photos which were emailed 1 business day after the trip. Hot chocolate and treats were a nice touch. Dress warmly!

Pick-up begins 30 minutes before departure time. * Aug 15–Sep 30 & Apr 1–Apr 18: from 21:30 * Oct 1–Mar 31: from 20:30 We need to have your email address on record so we can send you an email 30 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. This email will contain a description of our car, including a photo and license plate number. We will also provide the name of the guide in the email. Our driver-guide will always stop, get out of the car, and search for you. They won't leave the pick-up point unless they cannot locate you.

Even with the best of guides and a detailed forecast, sightings are never guaranteed. If we don’t find any lights while on tour, you can join us again another day for free (upon our availability). You will not be entitled to get a refund, though.
A refund is only possible if the tour never operates while you are in Iceland and you never get the chance to join the tour which sometimes happens due to unfavorable weather conditions.
The tour is operated in a minibus and does not exceed more than 19 passengers.

Availability for tour cannot be checked without making a booking. Credit cards will only be charged upon confirmation of shown availability.
This tour takes place at night, please dress up accordingly with warm garments. Bring along a hat, gloves and a scarf. Waterproof clothing is always recommended while touring around Iceland.

Awesome trip and guide. Nature cooperated and the northern lights were dramatic and magical!! the guide, Simon was funny, knowledgeable and super pleasant. He’s a great photographer who came with professional camera so we all get superb pictures. The blankets and hot chocolate were superb and appreciated!!

We had an amazing experience!! I cannot believe how lucky we were. we saw the lights right above our spot! Mikaela was such a great guide, she was very knowledgeable and super friendly. She even went the extra mile helping us with our drop-off; we didn’t know that there were no buses to the town we were staying in 20 minutes outside of Reykjavik, and we hadn’t rented a car. Mikaela was so kind and drove us home. we can’t thank her enough!!

WOW!! What an incredible experience. We went in mid-March, and I was prepared to either not see the lights or only see a limited portion, and we lucked out by having an incredible experience!! Our guide, Devin, rated our experience as a 9/10 and the best he's ever seen the lights in March. Devin was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and his enthusiasm for the lights was evident. While it was very cold, Devin also took great care of our group by letting us warm up in the bus and sharing the promised hot chocolate and snacks.

Great experience! We were fortunate to have a beautiful, clear night, but guide Devin had to adjust our locations due to high wind. He was absolutely great. My husband ate something during the day that did not agree with him... he was feeing nauseated and needed the bathroom every 15 minutes. It was horrible. This company refused to re-schedule. Relentless, unempathetic reiteration of their 24 hour policy. Their representative Martha admitted that they would loose profit from our empty seats. Again, my clear intentions were not to cancel, but simply reschedule due to extenuating circumstances. I normally do not leave bad reviews, but I am compelled to share my experience.

Well exceeded Expectations

It was cloudy and raining all day and drizzling when the tour bus arrived. I thought no way would we see the northern lights tonight. But our guide Baldwin was beyond amazing. Only 1/2 hour outside the city he pulled the bus over and checked the skies. He told us there was a clearing but it would take a little while. As we watched the clouds moving within about 1/2 hour they started to appear. And then they were everywhere. After about an 1 hour we left for a pit stop. but he still pursued on to find and even better stop where they were dancing. He took lots of photos of everyone and even a group photo. There are no words to describe how wonderful he was as a guide always keeping us informed and giving us time estimates on everything. We returned back to the city around 12:30 and it was one of the most magical nights ever.

Highly, highly recommend this tour and the fantastic guide, Baldwin. Pickup was prompt, mini buses were comfortable & kept us warm all night. Baldwin educated us on the science behind the northern lights. He really tried hard to give us the most optimal Aurora experience as possible. The drivers communicated with each other through the eve to share optimal locations. Our guide kept us out an hour extra & you could tell he did not want to give up. This was so appreciated. Icelandic kleina (donuts) & hot chocolate were delicious & warmed us up. Having a small group & professional photographer is 100% the way to go. Baldwin encouraged us to get in line for photos a few times to be assured we got the shot we wanted, and as often as we desired & (that the lights would allow). It was a mild showing for our night but as we were driving back, he caught another brief showing & stopped so we could enjoy once again despite it being late. The winds were strong enough that time to knock you down by then & it was so frigid but he took another round photos of our group until he couldn’t feel his fingers, just to give us more memories. We truly appreciated his dedication & patience as well as his knowledge. Book this tour!

Paying for a seat should mean having one!

You must be willing to spend this money knowing there’s a high probability of not seeing Aurora Borealis. Our guide was great and tried his best. I was unable to sit in my seat because there were 2 morbidly obese guests that took up 3 seats next to me (one being mine). I was forced to balance on the edge and was almost bounced off into the center aisle when we went over a bump. I switched seats with my petite daughter and she felt crushed by the mass during turns. This tour is for 4 hours. That’s a loooong time to politely deal with an issue that should never have existed. TOUR OPERATORS: This tour was NOT inexpensive. In fairness to ALL guests please begin requiring anyone needing an extender seatbelt for air travel to purchase TWO seats. This way you will assure every guest who paid for a seat will have, travel in comfort and enjoy their excursion!

What an Amazing Night

What an amazing experience!! We had originally booked for a Monday night, but the tour was canceled due to rain all around Iceland. We booked for the following night. As our pickup time came closer the snow in Reykjavik started. When the van pulled up we asked our guide if we were going to see the lights tonight and he confidently said yes. How lucky we were to get Baldwin as our guide. He drove an hour outside of Reykjavik to clear skies to make it possible. He helped get everyone's cameras set up and gave an interesting lesson on the lights. He stopped at a spot he saw some activity at and sure enough in the 1 hour and 15 minutes we were there we saw multiple auroras and witnessed them going from light to super bright. He was amazing!!! He also took photos with everyone with different angles of the lights. And then served us donuts and hot chocolate. When we loaded up to head back to Reykjavik, as we were driving he spotted another aurora and pulled over so we could also watch that one. It was such wonderful experience all around. When we returned I saw many posts in a fb group I am in about Iceland that said their tour that night had been canceled or of it went they didnt see anything due to clouds. I can not recommend this tour company enough. Baldwin did everything he could to make sure we saw the auroras. 1000% recommend.

Bucket list achieved

It was my last night in Iceland, I had booked with another company and they cancelled at noon said bad weather they wouldn’t be seen. I searched reviews and found this tour. It was twice as much money, but It was worth every penny!! Devin was our amazing tour guide, he has a radio voice that is easy to listen to, he told stories & his own personal Iceland love story. We had to drive quite far out, but he nailed it! Found the perfect spot and after a few minutes the sky started to light up. We spent hours in the cold watching it dance around the sky as he took pictures after pictures of our group. I couldn’t be more pleased. Best night ever !!

Incredible bucket list experience! Devin our guide was fantastic! Picked us up outside our hotel in a very comfortable mini van. He thoroughly explained how to photograph the northern lights in addition to the science behind the the Arora. You could immediately tell how knowledgeable and passionate he is about the arora and photography! I learned more about the arora from Devin then I could have in a college level earth science course. In addition he was hilarious and took some fantastic pictures! No need to even try taking your own photos as the ones Devin took of us are so good they don’t look real!! Would very highly recommend this tour!! If you want to truly experience the lights and leave with professional photos look no further than the east west tour with Devin

We had a wonderful experience on the northern lights tour, even without a sighting. Our guide, Baldvin, was a real professional. He did an excellent job managing expectations and kept everyone informed and engaged throughout the night. Safety and comfort (warmth!) were always a priority, but he made every effort to find an ideal viewing spot away from the crowds that come with larger tours. While we were unlucky with solar activity, the night itself was stunning: clear skies, a full moon, and a beautifully illuminated lake and mountains. You hardly noticed the cold. Baldvin also gave clear, helpful instructions for rebooking, which we really appreciated. Can't recomend Devon and East/West tours enough!

I booked this particular excursion because it was a small group tour and the photos were included. It was definitely the right choice. There was a small snafu at pick up - due to my not seeing the confirmation email that had been sent that morning. It was quickly corrected by EastWest tours and we were on our way. Our guide Devon - was AWESOME! He was fun, engaging, and very capable. He even gave a basic instruction in how to set your phone to try to get pictures on your own. There was a fair amount of cloud cover the night we went, but Devon knew where to go to give us the best chance to see the auroras. We stopped multiple times with gradually improving levels of success. I must say that we did not see with our naked eyes what you get with pictures. We confirmed with others we met while in Iceland that this was their experience as well. Just because you don't get an amazing view when you look, doesn't mean the auroras aren't there. Devon got us some incredible pictures. After being out for a few hours, and taking advantage of a bathroom break, we had seen some fairly good success. Devon wanted to try one more time and that last stop gave us the best lights that we had seen. Dress extra warmly as it gets very windy on top of the cold. The hot chocolate helped and the pictures Devon took were more than worth it. I highly recommend this trip!
