Great way to see the southern side of the Golden Circle. We were transferred from the pick-up bus to a smaller coach before setting off on our adventure. The ride was relaxing and we got to enjoy several stops including the geysers and a fairly long visit to the Blue Lagoon (definitely a highlight!). Our driver was entertaining and informative. We learned a lot and had a great day!

Everything was as promised. Our guide , “Helgi” was very considerate and knowledgeable. He reorganized the day to try to accommodate rain in the morning. We learned so much about the island history and geology. The Golden falls was rotating due to recent heavy rain and the Blue lagoon was a great way to wind down a full day!

Such a breathtaking tour of the otherworldly landscape of Iceland. What really made it come to life was our lovely tour guide, Cuba. I learned so much about Iceland from his passion about the country. He didn't overwhelm us with facts and didn't leave us in long stretches of silence. He gave us space on stops to explore and then later re-group. I can't recommend this tour enough. Thank you!!

It's a long day. Bring water and snacks. The order of events may change. We did the Blue Lagoon first, and it was not crowded. Bring a comb or brush for after the Blue Lagoon. Wear walking shoes. There is a lot of walking.

Great way to visit all of the golden circle

zach_s, Jul 2026
David was an amazing tour guide! There was not a question we through at him that he didn't know the answer to. He also kept us entertained and informed of so many aspect of Icelandic life throughout the trip. The timing of each stop was great, although you have to decide at the crater if you want to walk around the top or bottom as there isn't enough time for both. A++ way to get a great feel for the entire circle!

Quick way to see many interesting natural wonders about Iceland

Our Golden Circle guide was exceptional

Marie_S, Jul 2026
We did the Golden Circle trip from Reykjavík: myself and my four adult children. Our guide was exceptional: an Icelandic with full knowledge of every area we visited. He kept us laughing and engrossed in his details/descriptions. Timing was perfect, and he kept us all in line, like a shepherd leading his sheep.

A Must-Do in Reykjavic.

This was an amazing day trip. James was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. He got us to where we needed to go seamlessly and explained everything in great detail. We were left at ease to enjoy this wonderful trip.

Fantastic!! A lot to see all in one day!! Guide was a native and knew all the history first hand. Pace was perfect! Lots of time to spend on the best sights, while staying on track to have time for it ALL.

This is a full travel/driving day. We covered a lot of distance, but it was well worth the time. Magical scenery and the Blue Lagoon experience at the end of the tour was the perfect finish of the day.

Full Golden Circle Tour that was perfect!

Jill_S, Jul 2026
A full day of Golden Circle sites…wonderful guide and the small group experience was perfect! No big bus…small coach style bus that was comfortable and had power to charge phones! Michael was our guide and he was terrific! The last stop was The Blue Lagoon…a perfect way to end our Iceland Adventures

A long day, but well worth it! You get to see so much in a short period of time and ending with the blue Lagoon fabulous

Needs organization at start. Nice places but not relaxing

Stacey_D, Jul 2026
Trying to find your guide and bus is awful and chaotic. Over 50 buses from various tour companies are all in the same parking lot, just shouting out names - no signs or people who can guide/help. You run from one bus to another trying to find yours. Our friends went to 5 different buses told they were not on any. We had two extra seats on our bus but were told they could not come with us. Flash forward and they were listed as NO SHOWS as Viator screwed up their pickup location. They were transported and met up with us but missed the first destination. If you are with multiple people, you need to submit your tickets together as we were all split up. Some of our friends on other buses had extra stops which made us feel like we got the short end of the stick. Also, be aware each stop is VERY rushed, we had 25 min at one location, so you could either walk around the top of the crater or down to the bottom but not both. Be prepared to wait in lines for rest rooms and lunch and not have much time to eat.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry the harbor pickup felt chaotic. Several buses may operate the same tour, so separate bookings can be assigned to different vehicles unless we are told in advance that guests are travelling together. Pickup also depends on the details entered in each booking. Kerið is the shortest stop, while the itinerary includes about two hours at the Blue Lagoon. We appreciate your comments and continue working to improve the boarding process.

Laura_H, Jul 2026
We were not slated to be picked up at the correct loccation and had to be transferred to another group, hence, we did not get to see 1/4 of our excursion. This was disappointing and started our tour in a chaotic fashion.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

We are sorry that the start of your tour was confusing. Pickup instructions and the confirmed meeting point are sent before departure, but we cannot identify this booking from the review alone. Please contact us at info@bustravel.is with your booking reference so we can review what happened, including the transfer and the part of the itinerary you say was missed.

Very friendly and knowledgeable guide. I have done a few excursions before and they always felt rushed, but we felt we had ample time at all the spots. Great lunch location, bathrooms always available. Would very enthusiastically recommend this tour and this guide

A great day with Svetlana ( with one N)

Patrick_C, Jul 2026
We had a great time. Our guide Svetlana was excellent. The tour was well planned and worth the money.

Best tour for the Golden Circle & Blue Lagoon

BoonKok_C, Jul 2026
This tour is very good. Our tour guide, Michael, is very knowledgeable and super friendly. The tour started on time and ended on time as well. Michael even offer us some extra bonus stops like selfie with Icelandic horses and visit to the city that closed by the volcano eruption few years ago. Two of the highlights for us in this tour is the visit to the big waterfall and of course the Blue Lagoon! We highly recommend this tour!

Convenient Experience

Amye_K, Jul 2026
The tour was a good way to experience the Golden Circle without having to do the driving ourselves. The tour guide provided a lot of educational information which helped add context to the places we visited. If we had visited these places on our own, we would have stayed at each spot longer (except the Blue Lagoon). However, we wouldn't have been able to do it all in one day then. Overall, it was a great experience and a convenient way to see the Golden Circle.

A Perfect Day Exploring Iceland's Natural Wonders

Mitchell_C, Jul 2026
A Perfect Day Exploring Iceland's Natural Wonders This small-group tour was one of the absolute highlights of our visit to Iceland. From beginning to end, it was exceptionally well organized, allowing us to experience some of the country's most spectacular landscapes without ever feeling rushed. Each stop was unforgettable. Walking between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates in Þingvellir National Park was fascinating. The erupting Strokkur geyser and the powerful Gullfoss waterfall were every bit as impressive as their reputation suggests. The colorful Kerið volcanic crater offered a completely different perspective on Iceland's volcanic landscape and was a photographer's dream. The perfect ending to an incredible day was relaxing in the Blue Lagoon. Soaking in the warm, mineral-rich waters while surrounded by black lava fields was an unforgettable experience and the ideal way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The small-group format was another major advantage. It created a relaxed atmosphere, allowed plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and made the entire day feel more intimate and enjoyable. If you're looking for a comprehensive introduction to Iceland's natural beauty, this tour is hard to beat. Between the dramatic landscapes, fascinating geology, excellent guide, and the unforgettable finish at the Blue Lagoon, it was worth every minute. I would recommend this tour without hesitation to anyone visiting Iceland.

Highly recommend!

Stephanie_S, Jul 2026
This was a one stop shop! You hit all the big things in one day. Our guide Mikael (spelling?) was great! He was super knowledgeable, funny and added little side quests along the way. It was great because in between activities you can take a quick nap! It was a long day but well spaced out and super fun!
