Godafoss Falls is a MUST!
This was a wonderful tour. The tour operator responded promptly to our inquiry regarding meeting location. Our tour guide was friendly and full of information. She chattered the entire time to each location with wonderful information and cute stories. Our driver was very skilled driving the winding roads. The falls were easily accessible and a MUST SEE. Absolutely gorgeious. We enjoyed the visit to the Tuff houses and seeing the history of the local area. The Forest Bath house was wonderful. They rent bathing suits & towels if you forget (which my suit was left in our room!). Glad I was able to participate because we had already paid for the entrance fee and we realized when we arrived my suit was missing.

Great Day Tour for Cruisers
Excellent tour from start to finish. The orange-colored Saga Travel booth was clearly visible immediately after debarking our ship in the Akureyi cruise port. Saga Travel attendants directed us to bus, which left on time. Extremely knowledgeable tour guide, Runar, provided the perfect mix of history and storytelling, with a bit of geology mixed-in, throughout the trip. He also provided more detailed answers to specific questions - excellent guide! Driver, Andrei, was also fabulous. Of course the tour itinerary was as advertised - all of the stops were amazing. Our free coffee and donut at the Godafoss waterfall was a nice treat. None of the stops felt rushed. As other reviewers mentioned, be prepared for sun, rain, wind and varying temperatures in the same day. There is also a bit of walking to get close over both paved and uneven ground to get close to the sites. Our fitness app logged close to 5 miles over the day. We returned to the ship well-ahead of our departure time. Definitely recommend this tour.

Glad we took this tour
Saga did a great job of running this tour. Manuel was a great tour guide, keeping us entertained. The falls were gorgeous. Bus comfy. What seemed different from other tours there was the ticket they gave us to access the hotel bathrooms for free and get free coffee or tea and an Icelandic donut type thing. Nice to sit inside where warm.

Godafoss, Turf houses and Forest Lagoon
This was a great tour. First we went to see turf houses, church, with cemetery, as well as beautiful Icelandic horses. The ride there was very scenic. Then we went to Godafoss Waterfall and it was majestic and showed off with a beautiful rainbow! The walk to the falls isn't too difficult. Then we went to Forest Lagoon for about 2 hours. This was a lovely site with beautiful view of Akureyri harbor/city. It was a perfect ending to the day and so restful and relaxing.
