Jason from Timberbush Tours was fantastic! His humor and knowledge made the tour enjoyable and informative. He knows how to respectfully manage a large group of people with just the right amount of strictness to ensure everything ran smoothly. The tour was outstanding, and we were able to experience so much in just one day. While we would have loved a bit more time at the Eilean Donan Castle, we can understand the time limitations given the packed itinerary. I would highly recommend this tour and would give it 5 stars!

The perfect excursion!!!!!

What an incredible adventure. Our tour guide, Jack, was everything and more. Although our first time to Scotland, he made it a point to be a great guide, while still customising our experience to our liking. Although we initially had to leave the tour early, as we were leaving to Glasgow, he took initiative to maximise our journey, going out of his way to help us see additional sites and then helping us to reroute our bus tickets to do so - we were able to recieve more than what we had initially planned, which is uncommon for multi-day tours. His wit, kindness and thoughtfulness was the perfect balance, making our experience that much more magical. We saw so much and appreciated the great transport, communication and variety of sites throughout. Book it ;)

I got to feed a hairy coo!

Viator Mike was an excellent guide and driver. Told us some great Scottish stories and played Scottish folk music when he wasn’t speaking on the drive. The stops were great. We also stopped a few times for snacks and restrooms breaks. Got some great photos in places I never thought I’d see. Got go on a boat on Loch Ness (didn’t get to see Nessie.). And we got to end the day feeding a hairy coo. The Highlands are breathtakingly gorgeous. I really recommend this tour. It’s a long day but so worth it.

Fabulous Excursion!!!!!

I was reluctant to take this excursion because of the length—almost 12.5 hour—but I would have missed one of the highlight of my trip to Scotland if I hadn’t taken it. I thought the highlight would have been the cruise on Loch Ness but it was only part of the magic of the Scotland landscape. Everything including the weather was stunning. Rico was our driver and guide and he did an excellent job at both. His commentary was interesting and at times amusing. The coach, that held 16 passengers was very comfortable. Rabbies did an excellent job at organizing the tour—an a plus group. We had plenty of time at each stop and numerous bathroom breaks—never felt rushed. In my 2 weeks in Scotland it was one of the highlights. If you want to experience the highlights of the the Scottish Highlands, take this tour…and you’ll love the Highland Coos. Our guide was very...

Our guide was very well-versed in history; however, I felt as if we did not get much information about the castle. We did get a lot of information about World War I, medieval fighting, and issues Queen Elizabeth had with the castle. I would like to have had more information on the castle itself in other words, what were we looking at besides cannons that were made for ships, a part of the building used for a hospital in World War I and a memorial for a dead queen. I do feel as if our guide would be an excellent history, professor!

Spectacular Highlands Day Trip with Keith and Stewart Tours

This is a full day tour but driver/guide Keith, kept us entertained, interested and informed during the 12+ hours. Always watchful for wildlife, he pointed out the albino emus, Pygmy goats, eagles and Red deer along with Nessie! The coach was comfy and even though we brought along lunch and snacks…we took Keith’s recommendation for lunch and had a yummy venison pizza. The Highlands were amazing and Keith brought the history of the area alive with his personalized stories, music and historical facts. We would give this trip 10 stars if we could. Don’t miss out, go with Stewart Tours, you won’t be disappointed!!

Excellent tour!

This is a wonderful experience and gets you into Edinburgh Castle efficiently. The tour guide G was an Edinburgh local and gave us great insight into Edinburgh Castle and Scottish history. He effused with energy and enthusiasm and I could tell he had extensive knowledge about the castle and Edinburgh. I very much appreciated his humor and his local recommendations for places to eat and shop. Booking and meeting the tour group was painless and so easy.

Well worth it

We met our guide Robbie just before the start of the walk, he was very friendly and chatted about where we were from, I loved that he had dressed up. He was very informative and patient, always making sure we’re were together and safe. It was a lovely evening stroll pointing out things you would normally pass by without noticing.

It was fascinating learning about the history of the Edinburgh bridge vaults. The tour guide was informative and engaging while walking the group through dark and damp corridors. Even though the long history of the vaults is generally depressing, I found the experience very worthwhile.
