Our driver Daniel was excellent. The car was the size we requested, it was clean and he had water for us. Daniel was on time, assisted with our luggage, and was a pleasure to talk to during the drive to the airport. We always felt safe and the experience could not have been better. The shuttle service was on time, friendly, helpful. The day before our 6 people shuttle from Reykjavik cruise terminal to KEF airport we decided to include a 5 hr tour…they had no problem making the change and suggested a great tour with multiple stops. Unpleasant expt

Our drive to cruise port was disappointing. 1. At one point, if we did not have our seatbelts on we would have been thru the windshield. 2. He specifically told us he knew where he was going. Then took us to the wrong port unloaded our luggage and almost left. I ran 2 blocks to catch him before he left. 3. He drove at excessive speeds. An unpleasant experience.

We got to the airport and we all fit 6 people 11 pieces of luggage

I booked this company for our airport transfer and, overall, the experience was just okay. Communication beforehand was excellent — they were responsive and organized when I reached out with questions. On the day of pickup, though, things were less smooth. We were ready 15 minutes early, expecting the car might arrive ahead of schedule, but instead the driver showed up about 10 minutes late (despite saying he was “five minutes away”). The ride itself was fine, and the driver was polite enough, though we had to help load our own luggage. The bigger issue came at the airport: when he opened the trunk, one of my suitcases fell out and cracked badly. He didn’t acknowledge it, just kept unloading and said goodbye — frustrating since I now had to fly home with a broken suitcase. Another note: the company advertises that the vans are easily accessible, but there was no step to get in. I was traveling with four people who have mobility concerns. While it wasn’t impossible, the step was a bit high, and my mother struggled to get into the back seat. In the end, we got to the airport on time, but between the late arrival, luggage mishap, and accessibility concerns, this wasn’t the smooth transfer I had hoped for.

Very disappointing...

Very disappointing experience. We gave our flight information which arrived at 7:30am but we selected pick up time at 9am. We came out of arrival hall and didn't see anyone with our name which was expected since pick up time is at 9am. We waited at the airport and I went back to check if our driver was there at 8:15am and again at 8:30am. Didn't see my name so we continued to wait. It was approaching 9am and I still didn't see anyone with our names so I checked my phone and saw I had email that the driver was there at 7am and waited until 8:10am. It also said several calls were unanswered. Since there was no show, I am not getting a refund. I didn't have my phone on since I didn't have an international plan so didn't get the calls. There was free wifi at the airport so I called back the number but no response. I sent a message via Viator app and also no response. We ended up needing to pay again for alternative transportation. It's not right that the driver did not follow the requested pick up time and said there was no show. If the driver arrived early and didn't see us, then he or she should return at the requested time. I should not be penalized.

When flight details are provided, as in your case with flight DL260 (scheduled to arrive at 7:00 AM but landing at 6:39 AM), our standard industry practice is to dispatch the driver based on the actual landing time, not a fixed pickup hour, unless specifically requested otherwise. This approach ensures passengers are met on time whether flights arrive early (as in your case) or late. If your flight had been delayed, the driver would have still adjusted and been present at the new arrival time. The same logic applies when a flight lands earlier, as yours did. Your driver was at Keflavik International Airport’s arrival hall at 6:39 AM, holding a sign with your name, and waited until 8:10 AM, a total of 90 minutes, which exceeds our clearly communicated 75-minute wait policy. During that time, multiple call attempts were made with no response, and no messages were received through Viator or other channels until after the driver had departed. This entire policy, built around flight tracking and flexible scheduling, was communicated to you via email upon confirmation. It is in place to provide reliable and timely service to all travelers, regardless of how flight schedules may shift. We hope this provides full clarity on how your booking was handled and why the no-show policy was correctly applied in this situation.
