If your pick-up location is not on our pick-up list then we kindly ask you to locate the closest pick-up point to your accommodation from the map or list below and meet us there for your tour. IMPORTANT: Pick-up begins at your tour's departure time, so please be at your designated pickup location at that time. Depending on traffic and your location, it may take your guide up to 30 minutes to reach you. DROP-OFF: You will be dropped off at approximately 17:00 (5:00pm) from your original pick-up location. Times may change depending on weather and road conditions. *If you're arriving via cruise ship to Skarfabakki cruise terminal (312 or 315), please follow the signs and make your way to the "Pre-Booked Tours" pick up location to the east of the terminal buildings.
Itinerary
Start your full-day tour by meeting your guide and small group at a convenient location in downtown Reykjavik. Enjoy the scenery from the comfort of your minibus as you journey into Iceland’s countryside.
En route, hear tales from your guide about the Golden Circle, and each sight’s place in Icelandic history and folklore. Stay entertained and use the on-board Wi-Fi as you wish.
After a quick pit stop along the way, stop first at Gullfoss, whose name means "Golden Falls." Be sure to capture photos of the two-tiered cascades as they plunge into a gorge.
Next, visit Geysir, an active geothermal area of bubbling springs and geysers. Walk around the pools and see the mighty Strokkur geyser erupt, shooting high into the air every few minutes. Meanwhile, enjoy a break for lunch (own expense).
Enter UNESCO-listed Thingvellir Park and observe the geological rift where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Gaze at the ridges of the two continents, and see Althing, site of the world’s first parliamentary gathering in 930 AD.
Finally, discover Kerid Crater, a 6,500-year-old volcanic crater with a small lake.
After a full day out, your tour concludes with drop-off back at your original departure point.

I was initially somewhat nervous about booking this tour because we had limited time in port and did not want to miss the ship. This company was very cognizant of that fact for all of us and made sure we all remained on schedule. Loved the "small group" part of this trip as we weren't wasting time for alot of people to unload and reload. The stops were well planned and if managed, allowed you enough time at each one. So glad I booked this tour!
It was breathtaking! We saw so many cool landscapes and even got to feed some horsies. What more can you want?!
Great experience. Very interesting sites to see on this trip. Our driver also shared many details about Iceland between each stop that provided more information, helping us to better understand the Icelandic people and their culture.
Our Golden Circle tour was one of the highlights of our visit to Iceland. From the Kerid crater, to the erupting geysers of Strokkur, the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall to the stunning landscape of Pingvellir, every stop offered something unforgettable. And we had one unforgetable stop too - a farm with excellent icelandic ice cream courtesy of our wonderful guide, Franklin!
What truly made the day special was Franklin. He brought the places we visited to life with fascinating facts, engaging stories and a brilliant sense of humour that kept us entertained throughout the journey. We particularly enjoyed hearing about her wonderful sister, who served as a member of the Icelandic Parliament. Those personal stories added a special dimension to our understanding of Iceland and its people. 100 points to Grinfyndor!

Franklin is the best! He is a born and raised Icelander with an abundance of knowledge of Iceland. Allows and encourages questions. Has a great sense of humor and pride in his heritage. He took us on an adventure that will last a lifetime.
Despite the weather we had a great time! The Geysir rewards patience. Also, the lamb stew at the restaurant nearby is excellent.
A great glimpse into the natural wonders of Iceland. The tour moved along at a good pace. Our guide was very good. Only drawback ... the audio on the bus was not the best
Absolutely a wonderful trip. Our host was Gunn. She was amazing and funny and showed real care when a couple of the guests managed to completely ignore her and wind up at the wrong pick up location. We had plenty of time at each stop. The stops really showcased Iceland’s beauty. The small group format let us get to know each other, and by the end we were all chatting and joking. I highly recommend this tour. I loved it.
Our group was efficient and timely, so we were able to add on 2 extra stops! The guide was helpful and informative as well.
This tour was a perfect combination of scenic driving and walking/hiking. All the sites were spectacular, and Francesca made sure there was time for a couple of special stops along the way.

Well, um, yes, you know - um commentary could have been a bit more definite, but the tour was most enjoyable and our guide was very helpful. I would recommend this tour to anyone. We were also fortunate with lovely sunny weather. The colours of countryside were beautiful. As a geologist it was magic to stand on the Mid Atlantic Ridge in the Thingvellir National Park.

Very busy at all stops.
There was a lot of driving but that was expected. Our tour guide/driver, Alex, was fantastic with keeping us entertained with facts about Iceland. We made a couple of extra stops that were a nice surprise. The Falls were unbelievably beautiful.

Beautiful sights to see
Our tour guide however had a heavy Spanish accent, was not local, and difficult to understand.
He mostly had private conversations with passengers upfront and the rest of us were kept out of whatever was being explained.
His favourite answer to a question was “ check it out on Google”
I would not go with this tour guide (if that’s what he is) again!
Also this is a small group tour. There is something to be said for larger buses because we were very cramped inside.
We felt claustrophobic!
Our guide Alex was wonderful. He had a lot of good information to share and he was very patient with all of us and the different needs of the group. It was a rare warm day in Iceland and the heat in the van would not turn off but he did everything he could to keep us all comfortable.
Beautiful country . Gullfoss falls spectacular . Guide provided well organized summary of Iceland and Golden Circle .friendly and open to questions . As day wore on , Icelandic accent became heavier making a bit difficult to understand English

It was a really great tour. We saw some amazing sites and learned so much about Iceland. Our guide, Paul, was fantastic. He was full of great information told in an interesting, funny way. One of the best I’ve ever had.

Our guide Indra gave us a great tour of the Golden Circle. He added a stop in Reykjavík since our small tour group reboarded the bus on time at each stop and we got ahead of schedule. He was very well informed on the geology of the region and Icelandic history and culture.
Our guide, Jakob was knowledgeable and friendly. It was obvious he took great pride in his country and shared that experience with us. He was a safe efficient driver and made our trip as comfortable as possible
