1 Hour Sunset Boat Ride on Lake Austin with Austin Rental Boats
I booked a 1 hour Sunset Boat Ride on Lake Austin in early April 2026 for myself and four girlfriends that were visiting from out of town. We had the front of the boat to ourselves and another group was in the back. The weather was iffy (light rain but thankfully no lightning) so we didn't get a good sunset but we all had a great time taking in the views around Lake Austin. Highly recommend Captain Mueller; he was very personable and made the ride fun and memorable. Saw Pennybacker Bridge as well as the Little Venice area and the hour flew by so fast. I would definitely do this trip again!

Austin highlight ride.
Michael is a great guide with intimate knowledge of the toured area and he is very patient with new riders. His timing at stoplights to tell us the story of the city around us and resume riding when the light turned green was almost scary. Great tour and great guide!

100% recommend
100% recommended!!! We couldn’t have had better weather for this evening kayaking trip. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. It was an easy paddle out and back. Watching the bats was really cool. I would recommend this to anyone, one of the best things we did on our trip to Austin.

Exactly what we were looking for
At the last minute on a beautiful Tuesday morning, we searched for a short walking tour to learn more about Austin. “The story of Austin History Walking Tour” really hit the spot. Not too long. Not too short. And did a great job of hitting the bullet points of their long history. Would recommend.

Austin tours allow you to explore all the wild, wonderful, and delicious aspects of a city that has staked its reputation on live music and incredible barbecue with a side of strange. There are several fun and active ways to explore the capitol—Segway, bike, double-decker bus, or even a BYOB boat tour, timed to see the famed Congress Avenue Bridge bats. And if you can’t BYO, opt for a day trip to Texas wine country. No matter what you choose, just remember to keep it weird.
