Dylan’s 3 Speakeasies Tour in Austin was absolutely fabulous. From start to finish, it felt like an adventure with a fun group of strangers who quickly became part of the experience. These were places we never would have found on our own, each one truly captured the spirit of the Prohibition era, complete with hidden entrances, storefront disguises, and secret codes that made every stop exciting. We were welcomed like VIPs at every location, and each speakeasy offered something unique from the flavors to the atmosphere. While none of the spaces were large, they each had a strong presence and great energy, even on a Tuesday night. Our time at each stop is limited, so I recommend eating beforehand (as others have suggested). I’d also encourage you to try something different at each location, you don’t have to leave the tour sloshed just because it’s bar-focused. Between stops, Dylan shared fascinating history about the area, adding depth to the experience. He was more than just a tour guide, he was a personal concierge, answering every question and offering excellent recommendations for the rest of our time in Austin. He truly went above and beyond to make sure the tour exceeded expectations. If you want to dress up, you definitely should, it fits the vibe, but casual attire is perfectly acceptable too. Since there is walking involved through downtown, comfortable shoes are a must. The tour wraps up at the perfect time to continue the night on 6th Street if you’re looking to keep the fun going.
