Stathis our guide, shared so much history about Athens and Greece. Thankfully, there was not a test at the end of the tour to see what we remembered of all his information. Highlights were the changing of the guard at the Presidents Palace and the Lunch at a local restaurant.

Exactly what we expected. A very long day on the bus that was worth it for the incredible views at Meteora. The bus was pretty comfortable, and the trip was definitely made bearable by the planned stops for brunch and dinner. The food at the stops was nothing special but the system for ordering was efficient and got us in and out on time, though note that turnaround was pretty quick at dinner so some people had less time to eat than us because they made the mistake of ordering larger dishes like steak which took a while to come out. The visits to the actual sites felt appropriately long, neither too short nor too long. Letting us absorb the incredible views without making us impatient to move on. Overall, would say this is a must experience site, whether or not going from Athens makes sense to you is determined by whether you expect to ever travel to northern Greece in the future.

If you're looking for a way to learn a little about the area and see some beautiful spots, I recommend this tour! Maria was a great guide who loves local history and the myths. She and our driver did a great job of showing us different views outside of Athens. Im not a beach club kind of guy, but really enjoyed the time to stop & enjoy a meal while looking out on the Aegean Sea! And of course, seeing the Temple of Poseidon at sunset was incredible. We had plenty of time at each stop so you didn't feel rushed and Maria made sure everyone knew when & where to meet. The small group size was nice as well...we were easily able to see & hear as she shared at each site.
