Excellent guide of the districts of central Athens. We saw and learnt many things about Athens we would have never known. The guide who was incredibly knowledgeable gave us a fascinating insight into Greek Life and Greek mythology. It was truly amazing.
This tour is a very good way to orient you to the city of Athens and its neighborhoods. Elizabeth gave us a lot of insights into both past and present of the city.
Fun and informative. Simos is an excellent guide and shared insights and perspectives into today’s Greece. I enjoyed our walking tour of various neighborhoods in Athens and hearing about their contribution to the city’s development. CMOS was attentive to the requests and questions of participants and worked hard to accommodate all our needs. I definitely recommend this tour.
Wow! Don’t sleep on this tour. I did three tours while in Athens. And while each one had its own uniqueness, this one was hands down my favorite. We got tours of places you don’t find in the guidebook — with tons of history to boot. Thank you, Elissavet!
This was one of the best tours we have ever been on….the weather today was cloudy, chilly and windy but our guide, Nicholas, made us not think about that!!! Our tour lasted over 4 hours and we visited areas that we would never have seen on our own….highly recommend booking this tour if given the opportunity!!!!
The description on your website showing the 5 areas of Athens our walking tour encompasses is very accurate. However we were VERY fortunate that Pavlina Snoblova was our tour guide. She was EXCELLENT, gave us great depth and insight into each area and more. She’s a huge asset to your company, Highly recommend this tour, hopefully you’ll get her as your guide. If not the areas visited are very interesting bus she made it very enjoyable.

If you want to understand the significance of Athens to the creation of Greece as a modern Republic in the context of its ancient heritage, this is a foundational tour. It’s simply very interesting and was expertly delivered by our knowledgeable guide, Pavlina. Excellent.

I throughly enjoyed this walk thru different neighborhoods and our guide Andres was full of knowledge of the history of past and present culture/politics. People should go into this tour knowing that it's not just a highlight of locations but a step into the history of Athens. Go with a positive attitude.

Longer than expected, but our guide Nikolas was very knowledgable and friendly. The sites visited were off the typical tourist path, which was a plus. There were only three on the tour, which made it much easier to walk around the holiday-crowded streets.
Niko was amazing with a wealth of knowledge and information. Would highly recommend him as a guide and this tour. He responded to our questions and then worked our interests into the tour, even helping us with finding a great place for lunch.

wonderful way to understand how and where athenians live- we are 75 and had no trouble walking- description of neighborhoods and changes were enlightening and seeing how athenians have lived the last 75 years, a great contrast to the sites from BC---our guide was informative and friendly- a great tour for anyone visiting athens

Antigoni was very knowledgeable, kind and engaging. We got to learn about so many parts of the city that we couldn’t have done on our own. It was an easy walk with some uphill climbs but very doable.
Antigoni was a wonderful guide. She explained the differences in all the neighborhoods we walked. Was a mix of everything and very interesting to see Athens in a non tourist way. Wear comfy shoes and enjoy!
Excellent tour with Nikos. He made the tour interesting and was smart, engaging and answered all questions. Lots of walking with a coffee break half way through. So glad I decided to purchase this tour.
While I enjoyed this tour, please be aware that it is not for the faint of heart. Especially on a hot day. We toured areas off the beaten path, which was great, so we avoided crowds. Stopped for water and at a nice sidewalk cafe for my first taste of Greek Coffee. (Not everyone liked the coffee.) Glad I did this tour since it was parts of Athens I would not have seen otherwise.
We were with a knowledgeable guide, Simos who is an archeologist and a keen cultural historian. His insights into history and the development of Athens were terrific and well composed. We walked through different neighborhoods, from upscale to those populated by workers and artists, and past bookstores frequented by intellectuals and academics. We saw excavated ruins in the middle of commercial streets, and a bunker that was a relic of the misery imposed through Nazi occupation. This tour is highly educational, provides excellent insight into the history of Athens (and Greece), and well worth going on.
It was a wonderful way to learn more about this beautiful city. No crowds, great views and neighborhoods we would never have seen without this tour. Leo was a very informative and entertaining guide.
Absolutely excellent tour. Mikos was a superb guide. Very knowledgeable, very caring and brought to life a different side of Athens. Highly recommend him and highly recommend the tour, especially if you want to get off the beaten tourist path.
