The description on your website showing the 5 areas of Athens our walking tour encompasses is very accurate. However we were VERY fortunate that Pavlina Snoblova was our tour guide. She was EXCELLENT, gave us great depth and insight into each area and more. She’s a huge asset to your company, Highly recommend this tour, hopefully you’ll get her as your guide. If not the areas visited are very interesting bus she made it very enjoyable.

Go and have a look at some of the non tourist places of this great city. Our guide was incredibly knowledgable about the history of both Greece and Athens, and made it come alive. Excellent morning.

Longer than expected, but our guide Nikolas was very knowledgable and friendly. The sites visited were off the typical tourist path, which was a plus. There were only three on the tour, which made it much easier to walk around the holiday-crowded streets.

wonderful way to understand how and where athenians live- we are 75 and had no trouble walking- description of neighborhoods and changes were enlightening and seeing how athenians have lived the last 75 years, a great contrast to the sites from BC---our guide was informative and friendly- a great tour for anyone visiting athens

Antigoni was very knowledgeable, kind and engaging. We got to learn about so many parts of the city that we couldn’t have done on our own. It was an easy walk with some uphill climbs but very doable.

While I enjoyed this tour, please be aware that it is not for the faint of heart. Especially on a hot day. We toured areas off the beaten path, which was great, so we avoided crowds. Stopped for water and at a nice sidewalk cafe for my first taste of Greek Coffee. (Not everyone liked the coffee.) Glad I did this tour since it was parts of Athens I would not have seen otherwise.

We were with a knowledgeable guide, Simos who is an archeologist and a keen cultural historian. His insights into history and the development of Athens were terrific and well composed. We walked through different neighborhoods, from upscale to those populated by workers and artists, and past bookstores frequented by intellectuals and academics. We saw excavated ruins in the middle of commercial streets, and a bunker that was a relic of the misery imposed through Nazi occupation. This tour is highly educational, provides excellent insight into the history of Athens (and Greece), and well worth going on.

Viator always seems to get the best tour guides and Simos was no exception. His knowledge of history and architecture made this neighborhood tour amazing. Be prepared for a lot of walking up and down hills, however, Simos plans his tour with strategic rest stops so you don't wear out.
