Itinerary
Meet your guide and small group directly at the Acropolis metro station and bypass the crowds with skip-the-line admission tickets to enter the Acropolis. Spend two hours exploring the highlights of this ancient site with your guide, learning about the history and significance of treasures like the Parthenon, Propylaea, Erechtheion, Theatre of Dionysus, and Temple of Athena Nike via headsets.

- During High Season pre-reserved tickets can be very popular at certain time slots which can lead to people waiting in the "pre-reserved ticket holders" queue
- No wheelchairs, walkers, nor elevator access available during the tour. Please consider mobility limitations before booking
- Strollers of any kind are not allowed. Kids under 6 are not permitted on this tour.
- Arrive at the designated meeting point 10 minutes before the start time. Our tours depart sharp on time as we have specific entry times reserved for the Acropolis.
- Tickets are timed and expire within 5 to 10 minutes. It is not possible to join our tours after they started. No refunds will be due if you are late.
- Tips/gratuities (for your guide) are always appreciated.
- Please wear proper walking shoes. Flipflops, slippers, sandals are not recommended.
- Getting to the meeting spot from the port may need extra time, please consider using the metro. Tours depart with 5 minutes grace period

We had a great time on our tour. There were some in our group who struggled to complete the tour. It’s a good amount of walking with hills & steps. Also, you need to keep up. We went to the bathroom and had to “power walk” to catch up. Our guide had an umbrella which definitely helped to find her among all the people! I would definitely recommend. It is also great not having to worry with getting tickets for the Acropolis.

Eva was a great tour guide operator for our acropolis tour. I will say it was hard to find the tour as a lot of other tours leave from the same spot and after people started gathering the sign for Walks in Europe went missing. But the tour itself was great. She took us on the best possible path and gave us a lot of insight that we were looking for. My husband and I highly recommend doing the museum tour plus the acropolis tour as Eva went into a lot of greater detail in there that we wouldn’t have gotten otherwise from just doing the acropolis tour itself. The earpiece was also extremely helpful as there are a lot of other tours going on at one time and helps you easily understand what Eva is saying and block out the other tours. Eva was great at navigating the crowds and could tell she was a highly respected tour guide in the area with how the acropolis staff and museum treated her. Would take another tour from Walks in Europe again!

Given the crowds (even in late May), hard to imagine doing this without a guide. Ours ably dealt with the kids and a person unable to make the climb while getting the rest of us to the top and through the museum in time and without seeming rushed.

It can be hot and surfaces are polished and slippery to walk on. Our guide gave us plenty of time but I suggest bringing an umbrella for shade. The Acropolis tour and museum are a must do when in Athens..

My family which includes my spouse and our two teenagers booked the Athens All Included: Acropolis and Museum Guided Tour with Ticket. We had an amazing time. Our guide was Maria and she was fearless. She made sure the entire group had priority when leading us through the competing tour groups. She had an immense knowledge of the Acropolis and made the guided tour educational and exciting. I can’t recommend this tour enough.

This tour was exceptional but you must be able to climb uphill on uneven and slippery surfaces. Once you enter the Acropolis there are no rest rooms until you exit. Our guide was Maria and she is very passionate about the history of Greece. We learned a lot about the history of the Acropolis and during the tour she made sure our group stayed together and followed her pink umbrella or hat. There were a lot of tourists and we visited on June 7 at 9:00 am. This tour was not inexpensive but it was worth it. I had to pinch myself when I realized I finally made it to Greece and was able to tour the Acropolis!

Very hot and steep climb. Anyone with health issues should be aware of this. Suggested clothing might be helpful such as hats and sun screen. Go early..

The tour of the acropolis is a hike over uneven ground and good shoes are required. Frosso was our guide. She was terrific! Passionate about the history and able to give so much details while making it interesting and relatable. She made many stops and we had plenty of time for pictures and questions. We didn’t feel rushed or like we were waiting. She lead us through the crowds with ease and explained where she would be if you got caught up behind another tour. I would definitely recommend

Can be extremely hot because there is no shade on the Acropolis. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and proceeded at a good pace.

We learned so much about the history and significance of the Acropolis. Our guide Eva was a teacher and very informative and even guided us through the museum. The museum was excellent by the way. The audio device helped a lot. It was a good idea to go on the early tour, to avoid the heat and crowds.

The tour guide was awful. We were 5 minutes late due to heavy traffic and were meeting up at a museum. The tour guide couldn’t be bothered telling us where in the museum she was even though we had bought our own tickets again

You arrived at the meeting point at 09:18 for a tour that started at 09:00.
As clearly stated in our booking confirmation, voucher, reminder emails, and tour notes, participants are required to arrive 10 minutes before the start time. This means you arrived 28 minutes after the requested check-in time.
In addition, our customer service team was subjected to abusive language during the incident. Despite the late arrival, our guide made a second effort to accommodate you by waiting at a designated location inside the museum, but unfortunately, you were unable to reach that meeting point either.
Shared tours operate on a fixed schedule out of fairness to all participants. If flexibility is important, we recommend booking a private tour in the future. However, we kindly ask that all communication with our staff remain respectful at all times.

My most favorite guide ever. She never stopped giving us the history and tied it to current day wrapped up with a bow of love. My husband is a history nut and he learned so much from her. Don’t sleep on this one. The Athenian Guides are very proud, kind, and so knowledgeable.

Our Tour Guide Lisa was phenomenal!!! we learned so much history I could’ve stayed in listen to her talk for hours several more hours if time would have allowed . She was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of your question . It was also somewhat crowded and she helped us navigate through the crowds effortlessly.. I highly highly recommend.

This tour was informative, fun and a great option for our family of four (kids 13 and 12). Our tour guide was fantastic, knowledgeable, funny and able to answer all questions we had. She also did a great job of stopping at shaded areas and giving breaks when we needed. Would highly recommend this tour!

I think this experience depends largely on the guide. While our guide was knowledgeable, we got into the acropolis gates and stood there while he talked then we left! We didn't walk around at all! We didn't have an opportunity to fill our water bottles , go to the bathroom or see anything other than the Parthenon. The trek up was a lot easier than I anticipated. A word to the wise when going to the museum, if you want to see the ruins underneath, you have to go outside and show your ticket, however with a tour you don't have a ticket! Before going outside, go to the information desk and tell them you want to go the ruins but you were with a tour and don't have a ticket. They'll call down to the guard to let you in.
