Amazing Meteora Experience – Just Be Prepared for a Long Day!
Where do I start? The Meteora Monasteries and mountain views were absolutely amazing. The scenery alone made this tour worth it. The snack and dinner stopovers were at beautiful locations right by the water, offering great views and a relaxing atmosphere. Overall, this was a fantastic experience. The staff, tour guide, and restaurant staff were all friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the day. One thing future travelers should know is that this is not a short trip. You will spend a significant amount of time on the bus getting to and from Meteora. The bus was comfortable and had Wi-Fi, but don't expect a quick excursion. We left Athens around 8am and didn't return until about 10pm. It is truly an all-day adventure. Another important note is that the monastery entrance fees are not included in the tour price, but I highly recommend paying the admission. The views from the monasteries are breathtaking, and the peaceful atmosphere makes the visit even more special. Despite the long travel time, I would absolutely recommend this tour. Meteora is one of the most beautiful places I've visited, and the experience was well worth the journey.

Great tour!
There were so many stops and so much food! I don't think we went more than 4 blocks away from the central market, but it was very informative and fun. At one point we sat down to eat, I thought that was lunch, nope, just a snack. Later we sat down for a full meal. Come hungry!

Amazing guide John!
Absolutely stellar guide! Knowledgable, funny, caring (found shade for us all the time), remembered everyone in the group very quickly (by city and country). Gave us a wonderful morning that we will remember forever. Huge respect for our amazing guide.

This tour is a fun way to...
This tour is a fun way to get out of Athens, but it's not a huge time commitment. We would highly recommend taking the later afternoon sunset slot, as everything you see is on the coast. With great weather, you'll get so many opportunities to see the Aegean and a beautiful sunset. If you're a British literature fan, look for the spot where Lord Byron wrote his name on the Temple of Poseidon. Not a big fan of defacing an ancient monument, so thanks a lot Byron, but still worth a hunt and picture.
