Visiting the Acropolis...
Visiting the Acropolis was a great experience. Our Guide Anna was excellent, so knowledgeable, very professional and she made the whole experience interesting & enjoyable. The climb was well paced so everyone including retirees like ourselves could keep up and did not fall behind. Our tour also included the Acropolis Museum which was also very interesting and worthwhile. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Athens.

Very nice
The tour is just right in terms of length of time, it will take approximately 4 hours for you to do the tour of the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum. The museum is well worth the ticket fee if only for the sight of the marvelous Caryatids.
Our guide Petros was very knowledgeable and had a very fun and engaging storytelling style.
I would highly recommend the tour to anyone visiting Athens for the first time and especially for a short visit.

A Must Do Athens Experience
Our tour guide Jason was excellent. He was knowledgeable, humorous, and considerate. The physical demands of walking up the paths of the Acropolis to get to the top and see the Parthenon are challenging and not for everyone. Jason went at a pace that was comfortable and enjoyable for all. His tour wound up the Acropolis museum and he was again wonderful in explaining the highlights that made the experience satisfying. I highly recommend Jason and this itinerary.

One! - A must see
This is definitely a must see. The guided tour really added that extra level of knowledge that you’d get on a self guided tour. Our guide was amazing and so informative. Would absolutely recommend this experience in a group with a fab tour operator

Perfect
Lisa, our Arcropolis guide, is extremely knowledgeable. We learned so much from her. Our driver took us on town and spoke extensively about today’s Greece. Our first day in Athens was a perfect experience because of them.

Excellent tour w/ expert tour guide!
Excellent tour. A bit over 4 hours with our guide Jordan who really knew his stuff. Lots of walking but with opportunities to sit & rest. Jordan provided detailed commentary on history, culture, and many nuances on the sculpture & art. Very worthwhile; highly recommended.

People Also Ask
How long does it take to tour the Acropolis Museum?
Most visitors spend 1.5 to 2 hours at the Acropolis Museum. Two hours are enough to view most of the exhibits at a leisurely pace. However, remember that the museum comprises four levels, including the basement-level archaeological site—this is not a museum you want to rush through.
Should I buy Acropolis Museum tickets in advance?
Generally, yes, as the museum is one of the most popular Athens attractions. However, it also depends on the timing of your visit. Tickets are more likely to sell out in April–October and the middle of the day. The museum opens at 8am and often closes well into the evening.
Should I visit the Acropolis or the Acropolis Museum first?
It comes down to personal preference, but there are two factors to remember. Visiting the museum first can give you a better sense of the historical importance of the temples and statues in the Acropolis. Since the museum is air-conditioned, it remains cool in the heat of the day.
Can you visit the Acropolis Museum without a tour?
Yes, you can visit the Acropolis Museum without a tour. However, you will need to purchase admission tickets—and separate tickets for the Acropolis if you want to visit both attractions. Can you take pictures inside the Acropolis Museum?
Yes, you can take pictures inside the Acropolis Museum in Athens with some limits. You can take amateur photographs and film for personal use in all areas of the museum except the first floor's Archaic Acropolis Gallery.
