It was a fantastic trip. Delphi is a must see while in Greece and our guide, Lydia, was knowledgeable and friendly. She gave amazing history and advice on where to eat and grab some great beer or wine. Her recommendation for lunch in Meliades Arachova was outstanding!

The Delphi ruins are absolutely fascinating. We had excellent weather and the views were incredible. The mountain town where we stopped for lunch had lots of cool shops and taverns to choose from. Our guide gave us a suggestion for lunch and the meal was delicious and affordable.

Meet outside Metaxourghio metro station (red line), which is 8 minutes from Syntagma Square by metro. Once you arrive at Metaxourghio metro station, follow the exit to Karaiskaki Square and go up the stairs. Turn right and walk toward the metro station sign.

Good tour but some issues...

This tour was a really good way to see Delphi. More time in Delphi rather than Arachoba would be nice as its hard to see the site and rhe museum in just 2 hrs. Lydia is a great guide with lots of knowledge. However my main issue with this tour was that the length of time you are on the coach without a toilet break is inhumane. On the way there we were told 1 hr 30 into the journey there would be a break, it was more like 1 hr 50. On the way back there was no break and the traffic into Athens is shocking so the journey takes even longer on the way back. This is really poor of the tour company to not think this through and there were kids on our coach too, how can they be expected to wait 3 hrs? Not good.

To set expectations, this is a bus ride to Delphi. For the price you get the ride (it is not small group as indicated) to Delphi (no tour) and a stop in a small town on the way back. The town was very charming but if you go make sure you plan to eat. I had other meal plans and there is very little to do in the town and there are no restrooms. If I had it to do over I would have preferred a tour of the site. Most other groups there had a tour guides. This company gives you a link to a website that supposedly provided information but most in the group couldn't get it working. The "guide" that was on the bus basically dropped us at the back of the very long line for tickets and left. Tickets to the site are not covered, the line was over 30 minutes long and apparently we could have used a QR code to get the ticket online but no one bothered to tell us that. I am glad I got to see Delphi. Nothing horrible, just would not book through this company again. One othe thing to note, the route maps took me from my hotel to the meeting place was pretty rough. The bus basically picks you up on a busy corner. If you are getting back later in the evening I would hesitate to walk in the area.

It was a good tour in a very cool place.

We had a good tour. Traffic was bad getting out of town but I realize the tour can't fix that. It did mean that we didn't get quite as much time as we thought. Arachova was a lovely cap to it, though, and everyone enjoyed themselves.

FYI- read the fine print. This will not include tickets to Delphi. I watched a couple not go in because they obviously thought it was (like we did) and were really upset. So if you are budgeting for this- be ready to pay the 20€ per person. Lunch is not included either -we did expect that. So basically you are paying for a bus ride there.

Alex was a fantastic guide! Wi-Fi for the bus was down, and he offered to set up a hot-spot so I could keep in touch with my travel partner who was not on the trip. Two hours was enough for me to comfortably see the ruins, but only just - I didn't go into the museum at all. If you want to make sure you see both, you'll have to move quickly or skip something (the stadium is a long climb beyond everything else, so could be a good option there).

Alexander was a great guide, very knowledgeable and with a good sense of humor. The trip was smooth and easy, and it was clear where we were supposed to go and when we were supposed to return. We saw everything on the itinerary and got back on time. Can’t ask for more. Note this is not a guided tour, though there is an audio guide, and the price of entry is likely not included.

Nice van ride with a group of 8 to Delphi for archeological site that requires moderate ability and exertion for walking on uneven pavement, a large amount of stairs, but worth it. The museum is very nice with a good explanation in the audible and on the cards by the artifacts. Lunch at a restaurant in Archova and then some time to walk around. Enjoyed seeing the country side away from the big city and hear about the history. Instructions of meeting place could be improved with a picture of the corner cafe just outside the metro station.

Amazing guide! Very helpful and kind, while still being very informative and answering any questions that we had. I loved this option much more as a solo traveler than taking one of the buses going to the same place. This was the perfect way for me to talk to people and enjoy my day trip. Booked Small group of 15 but turns to be a big bus with about 25 travellers. No WiFi in the bus and quick stay of 2 hours 30min in the site. No enough time to see the museum / arqueologico site! Needs to run run!

Delphi was amazing!

This is a great budget option for folks who want extra time at the archeological site and prefer to roam on their own, instead of being tethered to a tour group. The driver provided interesting facts on the ride up. Arachova was picturesque and a good option for lunch, but little else. We ran into traffic on the return trip and our driver did his best to avoid traffic.

Elia was our tour guide during this trip and she was wonderful. She taught us all about Delphi on the way, and drove wonderfully despite that we had many detours due to strikes. You do have to purchase your ticket at Delphi, but I enjoyed the independence of touring both that and Arachova on our own rather than having to follow someone around. They do offer an audio guide as well.

Our guide/driver welcomed us in a small group. We were comfortably transported to Delfi. She presented some of the history of the area during our transportation. We were free to explore the site on our own at our pace. The museum presented some interesting artifacts. The venture to Arachovia was close. Interesting area, good food. Thank-you for the opportunity!

We had a pleasure to visit archeologycal site and museum of Delphi as well as Arachova village. The time dedicated to Delphi and museum was not the same as mentioned in tour descripton. But it was enough. Also we didn't visit Delphi village. Which was mentioned in the tour itinerary. And we didn't visit Castalian spring. We thought we didn't find it. But as we realised later it is situated away of archeological site. Also have in mind that the road to Tolos of Athena Pronaia is closed. So you will not visit is as well. The time in Arachova village was a bit too much. As there's no much to see there. Also we expected big tourist bus. But they use a small Mercdes van. The driver and the guide is the same person. Her driving style was a bit crazy. Constant acceleration and braking. But everything was on time. And we came back safe.
