We visited 6 different restaurants and ate some truly amazing food. The tour guide was knowledgeable on food and worked as a food buyer for a local business. He walked us through areas of Athens that we wouldn't have found on our own and of course took us to all the best restaurants to showcase the local food. Foodie tours are always fun and our guide added a lot of history and background to every place we visited. He also helped us get a taxi home which was much appreciated. We had a great time!

Great Intro to Food and Athens

It was a great introduction to both food and the central neighborhoods of Athens. We did it on our first day after 30 hrs of travel. Went to bed contented and awoke ready for our 4 wonderful days here. Kate was great and we got some wonderful restaurant recommendations as well.

It was a pleasant experience. We did start a little late but it all worked out. The tour guide had a good sense of humor. She was very helpful in explaing the food and the culture of Greece and the food. Besides that she said I looked liked her father. She showed us a picture of him and I do have some resemblance of him. The picture was of a very handsome, wise and smart older man, The group was small and people on the tour were quite pleasant and good company,

We tasted lots of great food and a couple of drinks. Our guide provided us with lots of local information and history. We had the pleasure of meeting Anna, the owner of Athens Food on Foot at dinner. She was very kind, generous, and made sure everyone had plenty to eat. She also helped us out alot with getting back to our hotel.

We have taken a lot of walking tours but this one with the added food testing and tasting was an unbelievable good time. Our guide Katarina was so knowledgeable and funny we just loved her. The information she gave us was an added bonus as far as I was concerned. The food was outstanding and lots of it. I highly recommend this tour.

We had a great time with Katerina on the evening food tour. We were able to try a variety of traditional Greek foods and tour multiple neighborhoods in Athens. Great experience that we would do again!

Was excited to go- just mediocre tour

Walking and being able to see lively street life, shops (although no stopping except at a deli like any other in USA) food just ok. Guide very inexperienced. Not much real info and spoke in low voice and while walking individually to only one next to him. Company should pass out cards that tell you snack names hard to figure out when told yo you in Greek and never see written word. Example we had wonderful bread in shape of ring with sesame seeds on it (traditional morning bread) must look up to find out what it was called. Very average tour or maybe jyst our guide and food was not great! Not even a piece of baklava! Had like a donut hole last stop for dessert.

Hello Marybeth McCormack, Stavros is a really gem of my team, really kind and knowledgeable and so far I never had negative feedback for him. In case you couldn't hear him, you could request him to raise his voice. Also the truth is that Athens has narrow sidewalks and sometimes while walking the guides cannot have everyone next to them. Although, we make an effort approach & connect with everyone throughout the tour. There are no companies within Athens giving cards with foods. In some cases though when customers are really interested in Greek food they keep notes and take pictures. Finally, on my website there is a full description of each food tour and we never mentioned there is a baclava tasting. From the other hand, our purpose is to taste Greek food beyond baklava and souvlaki that you can find them everywhere, our purpose is to give the local foods that you cannot find by yourself. Although if you requested, we would be really happy to treat you with a piece. Overall, I am really grateful you gave us your feedback and I have the chance to clarify all these things. According to Stavros you seemed that you really enjoyed the tour and you never communicated with him any of the complaints above. So communication is the key! All the best to your future travels!

Anna was awesome and has amazing taste! This was a great tour with a good variety of local food and flavours. We were STUFFED at the end but it was totally worth it. We had amazing yogurt, fantastic filo pies, local cheeses/charcuterie, a huge meal at a local spot and incredible sweets. Pace yourselves, but don’t miss it.
