Stefanos made our day tour of Athens unforgettable

We did the private, full tour of Athens with Stefanos. He was outstanding! He’s a true Athenian and has the Greek passion and love for his city, country, and culture. His knowledge of Grecian history along with world history and how it’s impacted his country was amazing. His personal touch in everything made the time together very meaningful and memorable. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Acropolis, Agora, and museum. The lunch provided was superb - a Greek salad, pita with chicken (or pork), baklava for dessert, and your choice of beer, wine, or soda. He stopped and let us take pictures of some special places and views, provided an umbrella in the am I case the sprinkles became rain (they didn’t). If you’re coming to this cradle of humanity, do yourself a favor and take this tour. While I’m sure the other tour guides are great, I cannot imagine them being better than Stefanos. Thank you, my friend! You represented your city, country, and culture as a true ambassador - we leave better educated and with a greater appreciation for all the wonderful contributions your culture. Thank you!!!

A Memorable Day

This tour makes for a VERY long day. We got on the bus at 7:30 AM, and when after several hours on the road, combined with three stops for food/restrooms, tours of three Monasteries and several photo stops, we did not get back until 10:30 PM. However, this was a VERY memorable tour of these unique sites, as well as the opportunity to see a lot of interesting areas of Greece outside the cities.

This is a longer excursion but WELL worth the ride. Maria, our tour guide was amazing! She shared an incredible wealth of information in a fun and interesting way. The views of this area are breathtaking and the monasteries are truly a work of art. HIGHLY recommend!!!

Our tour guide Michail is an accomplished story teller and entertainer. He afforded his group the opportunity to learn about the mythology and reality of Ancient Greece and Delphi. Our tour was paced with restroom breaks, climbing the hillside of Delphi and experiencing the ruins, lunch in picturesque Arachova all while Michail educated us in an informative and witty manner. Thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Excellent and convenient way to visit Delphi

I wanted to see Delphi but didn’t want to drive there myself, so booked this. Convenient pick up location (Acropolis) and a comfortable coach bus. Appreciated my guide’s (Yiannis) insights into the history of the archaeological site and the museum. I also purchased the lunch option which was decent but honestly you could do without that and get lunch somewhere else at the stop or pack your own.

Delphi full day trip

Lily and Friday were amazing guides. Our trip to Delphi was so much richer thanks to Friday taking us through the museum first. Lily filled us in on so much history and mythology during the 2+ hour ride to Delphi. So glad we chose Delphi over the other full day trips as the antiquities found in Delphi were incredible. Had the best meal of many good meals at the Taverna we ate at in New Delphi (Bouka maybe).

Highly recommend

We had a great experience with Angelos, Demitrius, and the rest of the crew (apologies for spelling). They were very knowledgeable and made the trip very fun. The boat was beautiful and the crew does a great job maintaining it. Food served on board was a delicious combination of traditional Greek food and the unlimited soda/beer/wine were appreciated. The islands we visited were lovely as well, but the boat ride itself was our favorite part. Our only complaint is that we received several emails/viator information confirming our reservation but they had conflicting information on pickup location which caused some stress the morning of.

Very worthwhile day trip

Really enjoyed this tour and seeing so many different and interesting places. Our guide shared great history and did a great job of keeping us on a good schedule to try to beat some of the crowds. The Theater of Epidaurus was especially incredible and worth climbing to the top to gain perspective from that location. Very glad we fit this tour into our trip.

Knowledge guide and great tour

We met our guide under the Arch of Hadrian. After gathering the group (about 14 people), we headed to the Acropolis entrance and began the tour. It lasted a little over two hours, including time to get everyone through the line. The guide was organized, using a map and managing tickets for the group. We made around 8 stops along the way, where they shared context about different areas. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and answered questions clearly. It was quite cold and windy, especially as we climbed higher toward the Parthenon. Once we reached the top, the guide gave a brief overview and then allowed time to explore, take photos, and leave at our own pace. Overall, it was a well-run tour and a good way to learn more about the history and mythology of the site.

This was perfect for what...

This was perfect for what we wanted, which basically was a trip out to Poseidon’s temple without the hassle of renting a car. As other reviewers noted, it did not stop at the lake. We also didn’t get an audio tour - there was some commentary on the way out about what we were seeing an a little bit of context on the way back but that was it. For us - it was great. The bus was comfortable and clean, we had plenty of time to eat dinner at the restaurant and then walk around and make it to the temple in time for last admission/sunset. But the description is definitely inaccurate. That being said our tour guide, George, was awesome and we got exactly what we wanted so we’re very happy. And most importantly - the temple and views are incredible and not to be missed.
