Well, unless you are so well read and able to decipher and comprehend the chronologics and detail of thousands of years of history on your own wandering through a large tourist attraction, then book this tour. Our guide, Simon, has an architectual background as well as thorough multi-year training and experience in guiding including current focus on the Acropolis and museum. We had a great introduction to Athens' history and an overview as conveyed by a guide that genuinely cared what his clientele were learning. Acropolis Tour

Very informative and engaging tour guide. She obviously knows what she is talking about because she herself is an archeologist. The wall up the Acropolis was easy and we chose the best season and early morning time when the temperature is perfect. After the tour at the Acropolis she quided us back down into the Acropolis Museum which is a must to complete the information and visually see the relics from the Acropolis site where they put in there to protect from degradation.

This was an amazing tour. Our tour guide, Afroditi, was the best. She was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. It was a hot day and she took us up to the Acropolis, while stopping in the shade to give us more details. While in the Museum she made sure we saw everything by moving us from one open area to another which avoided most of the crowds. We would definitely recommend this tour and you should request Afroditi.

This was an amazing tour. We stopped at Lake Vouliagmni first, which is beautiful, but you do not get to swim in it. The next stop is at a small beach where you can change into your suit and go swimming. There is also a bar and restaurant if you would rather relax. The last stop the the Temple of Poseidon was beautiful. We arrived in plenty of time to admire the Temple and then to find a place to sit to enjoy the sunset. Our guide was amazing and gave us lots of background about each place we visited. We would definitely recommend this trip

We enjoyed this trip to Delphi. It was a hot day, but we were able to walk from place to place up the side of the hill and stopped in the shade. Our guide was knowledgeable and told us all the history of Delphi and the town of Arachova. We enjoyed the lunch that was included with the package we purchased. Good food with large portions.

The boat ride was so relaxing and a lot of fun. The stops at the islands were fantastic! It was great to be able to get out and swim in the sea. The crew were exceptional! Very helpful, thoughtful and informative. The lunch on board was delicious! I would highly imagine this experience.

The Best Bespoke Private Tour of Athens

OLIVE SEA TRAVEL is THE BEST Tour Company. This is a Bespoke Tour. They were professional, courteous, knowledgeable and well worth the cost. This was the finest excursion/tour we have ever had! We made the mistake of booking with another ‘highly rated’ guide for another tour. That other company could not find our reservation after taking our money and then a ‘driver’ showed up 30 minutes late and could not speak English well. We suspect this was a ‘driver’ from a transportation company and not even part of the ‘tour company.’ In sharp contrast, OLIVE SEA TRAVEL sent NIKOS for our Full Day Private Tour of Athens. He was on time and the car was new and spotless. Nikos was a native Athenian and he spoke excellent English and he was a human encyclopedia of knowledge about the history, culture and sights of Athens. He knew exactly where to go and even gave us tips about where to stand for the best photo ops. We booked the Full Day Private Tour of Athens (8 hrs.). Our tour included Front-of-the-Line tickets to the Acropolis (saved us 1/2 hour of waiting in the hot sun in line) and the Ancient Agora & Temple of Hephaestus (saved us another 1/2 hr.). We opted for the National Architectural Museum (extra 20€ ea. for Front of the Line Tickets) but saved another 1/2 hr. We were treated to an excellent Lunch at a locals’ favorite taverna, Proedros, which was air conditioned and which had the best gyros and baklava. The tour with Nikos and Olive Sea Travel made us feel like celebrities or royalty. DO NOT skimp when booking a once-in-a-lifetime tour. This is the finest experience and it is a real value considering what is included. Thank you, Nikos and Olive Sea Travel for making our tour of Athens into a memory of our lifetimes!

Great tour - bus ride could be better .

It was a full day .bus ride was smooth however no ability to charge at our seat but they offered to charge our phones up front . WiFi was spotty - you had to be one of the first to connect or you couldn’t join. Time at the site was great - Great views - loved our tour guide . Audio guide worked well too. Lunch was pretty good . Stops were very nice by water - order ahead of time and food ready . Everything on time . I’d recommend it . Very cool landscape and monasteries
