- Please make sure this tour includes approximately one mile of walking uphill/downhill on uneven surfaces and 200 steps (both ways).
- Guests are advised to wear flat and comfortable walking shoes. Large backpacks and oversized purses are not permitted inside the site. Long queues and waiting might occur and every effort is made to coordinate the best timings for visits.

Interesting tour of the Acropolis and Parthenon. The area is very crowded and there is a lot of information. We would have loved to have seen renderings of what they thought things looked like.
Wonderful walking tour with an extraordinary guide. The walk was full of interesting facts and stories. Don't do the Acropolis on your own. Do the tour. Highly recommended.
Selena was an amazing tour guide she took the time to make sure we all have a great understanding of the history. She is a great storyteller and has a lot of energy and passion for Greek culture. She paced the walk up hill in such a way we did not realize we had climbed such a great distance.
Simply because of the nature of the Acropolis, there is a lot of walking and up / down stairs and steps. The guide cleverly managed the phases of the experience to allow plenty of time for resting while relating background and stories as well as making opportunities to look around and take photos - but the walking still needs to be done. You don't need to be a marathon runner or a mountain goat, just reasonably mobile; the Acropolis is not a gentle wander through a garden. However, it's the only way to properly view and appreciate the Acropolis area and the monuments / buildings.

Our guide heleni was excellent. She gave a very detailed account of the history behind the acropolis, providing insights we would never know if we explored the site on our own.
My husband and I loved seeing these archaeological sites of the acropolis and Parthenon. It was beautiful. I would not recommend going on an audio tour because it was very large and hard to understand. Our young tour guide did a good job, but she spoke way too fast for us and we couldn’t hear or understand a lot of what she said. I often had to take off my ear device and just stand closer to her.
It was wonderful! The sights are impressive. I traveled with my parents who are in their 80s. The guide made many stops which was great. We took the museum option and it was great because we may have gotten lost trying to get back down. We highly recommend it.
Well lead tour by Alana. She had lots of enthusiasm for describing the history of the acropolis. I had a slight issue with understanding her English spoken with a Greek accent, but appreciated the care that she took in keeping the group together and ensuring any questions could be answered.
Guide took their time on the walk up to make sure all guests were comfortable. Lots of hiking breaks filled with great knowledge and photo opportunities.
She (also an archaeologist) was very knowledgeable.

Great tour. Many stops at all the buildings on the way up to the top and the Parthenon with history and info on each. Great panorama views! The museum was excellent and tied all the statues, sculpted facades and relics to each building we had seen on the tour up. This tour is a must and our guide excellent Afroditi Gianni.
Such a beautiful tour with a great guide! Our guide knew the history and also had a good sense of humor. Definitely bring water and eat a meal before.
It’s a lot of hill walking so be prepared for that, but on the way up the Acropolis you see some beautiful views of Athens as well as the most amazing archaeological and historical structures.
Our guide Yannis was fantastic, so very knowledgeable about the history and the Greek Mythology which I love to learn about. Loved everything about this trip. The museum was wonderful also. Thoroughly enjoyed this trip.
What a fantastic tour! Anna was exceptional…so engaging, funny, and knowledgeable! All four of us thought she was the best tour guide we’ve had over our 2 1/2 week trip!
Elena was great and very entertaining. She knew her history on the Acropolis and Parthenon. It was a little sketchy walking up but that was because people need to give the right a way.

Uneven areas to walk. Go early to avoid heat
Lots of walking. Longer than expected but very interesting. Guide entertaining
Good tour, comprehensive and very informative. Just plan accordingly, they started 20+ minutes behind schedule despite telling us to arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour start time. Spending almost 40 minutes waiting was not ideal. Excellent guide though.
We had an excellent guide to walk to the top of the Acropolis. She was very knowledgeable and communicated clearly and with some humor. As she promised, she took nicely spaced out breaks on the way to the top, taking advantage of shade and empty spaces to gather our group. We are two mature seniors and appreciated her attention to where everyone was in the group and the thoughtful pace she maintained for everyone. It was truly a wonderful experience.
The meeting location was easy to access. Our tour guide was kind, entertaining and offered a great historical educational experience.
Very organized at check in and start, headphones made it easy to hear our guide even when not next to him. We had Petros, super knowledgeable, funny, and engaging across the day. Learned so much more about the site and museum than we ever would have on our own. Plenty of time for pictures. Highly recommend.
Lots of walking, can be a bit treacherous at places but certainly doable if you take your time. but so worth the walk. Excellent guide.

Remarkable how much is preserved! The temples are overwhelming! After seeing photos and reading about the Acropolis, it is more impressive than I imagined! Guide (Aphrodite) was enthusiastic as well as knowledgeable!
A lot of uneven ground so it would be difficult for people that have trouble with Walking
The ruins and hearing the history behind it all is worth the tour. The views from up top are amazing.
