- The Acropolis is on a steep hill; some paths are slippery when wet
- Bring water, hat, sunglasses, and umbrella if it rains (no cafés on site, only a water fountain)
- Audio quality may occasionally be affected by other groups’ equipment

We had a great time. Our guide Krista did a great job trying to keep us on the shade as much as possible, providing great information about the hill (Acropolis) history and facts, as well as the Museum. Highly recommended!! Thank you Krista!!

We enjoyed every single minute of our Acropolis tour! Our guide, Lidia, was absolutely amazing. As a historian, she shared so many unique and sometimes astonishing facts that truly brought the history to life. The tour perfectly covered both the Acropolis Museum and the actual archaeological site. Plus, she knew exactly where to take us for the best photo spots. Highly recommend!

The tour was intriguing and our guide was very knowledgeable. Although the tour can be quite long for young children. If you are interested about Greek history this is the tour for you.

Excellent experience. My wife and I walked about 15mins thru the city to the meeting point from our hotel King George. It was a really nice walk. We met up with a group. Our tour guide was great and shared a lot of good information and kept the tour engaging the whole time. Gave us time to take pictures as well in great spots. Make sure to bring a pair of good sneakers! And some water. Really loved walking up to the Parthenon and then we also did the acropolis museum which was very cool too.

Crowds. You need to be aware that there will more than likely be crowds on the way to and on top of the Acropolis. If you can get over that then this tour is for you. What I appreciated about the experience is the tour guide (and perhaps it's the tour group), but the experience was made as a journey from the bottom of the acropolis to the top. Stops along the way were insightful and informative. They included detailed informational facts as well as legends about the Gods that were worshiped and the rituals that took place.

My husband and I did the Acropolis/Parthenon & Acropolis Museum Tour - it was fabulous! Effie was our tour guide and she was so sweet and so knowledgeable! She made for a very fun and fascinating experience! I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who wants a better understanding of Greek history and culture. My ONLY complaint was the headsets - they give you a lanyard with a device to hang around your neck and an earpiece to go with it - it seemed as though the range on the device wasn’t very far or the headset was just faulty… Effie would cut in and out from time to time, but if i stood super close to her it seemed to work ok! All that to say, still a wonderful experience and very grateful to Effie for her expertise!

Wonderful experience. Everything was taken care of and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. When you meet the tour at the beginning you do need to check in at the desk which they did not say in the written instructions beforehand.

Bring water and hat or umbrella, very limited shade and it was hot in the sun. Guide was knowledgeable but did not have patience for older people who were moving slowly and did not want to stop at bathrooms (took the crowd to convince him to break).

This tour was one of the most informative and properly paced I’ve been on! Our tour guide took her time, made sure we were comfortable, all together, in the shade when possible, and communicated very well. Our tour had a mix of ages and she made sure everyone could keep up and hear. This was very important for climbing the acropolis because it was more difficult for some but she made sure no one was left behind. Would highly recommend if you really like the nitty gritty of history and culture as well as a little extra physical activity.

This turned out to be a horrible experience. I felt ill right at the beginning of the tour. Probably heatstroke. I asked for tickets to the second part of the tour which would have been in the air conditioned museum. This was denied to me. I was instructed to wait outside the museum in the heat one hour until the rest of the tour group arrived. As I had heatstroke I had to get into a cooler environment. They denied my second request for this . I was forced to taxi back to my hotel

Great experience guide Irene was brilliant quite strenuous and hot.
If you are fairly unfit or have health conditions this may not be the tour for you a member of our group could not manage it and stayed at the entrance

Yes, you should do this tour. It's a great way to think through the importance of the Acropolis to Athenian history and identity. The tour covers a condensed area of the city. We started at the base of the Acropolis and worked our way up the hill at a reasonable pace. As we made our way up, our guide gave great information about the theaters on the hillside, as well as other smaller sites along the way. When at the top, the guide covered critical structures and identified things that we would have missed if we'd done the tour on our own. Our guide then took us back down the hill and through the museum, where he emphasized or augmented things we discussed at the top.
Our guide was an archaeologist, so it wasn't some random person who had no idea what he was saying. He was incredibly great.
Again, do this tour! You won't regret it.

A very comprehensive tour with an outstanding guide (Demetrius). He provided a very good commentary on the important parts of the Parthenon and museum at a very good pace.

So glad we booked the acropolis plus museum guided tour with ticket. Our guide Yannis was an excellent guide blending history, culture, and humor. He did an excellent job of keeping the group together and making sure we saw all the highlights.
