This was one of the best guided tours we had during our time in Greece, largely because of our wonderful guide, Garifallia. She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared an amazing amount of detail about the Acropolis, its monuments, and the museum, but she presented everything in such an engaging and entertaining way that the tour never felt overwhelming.
Her background in archaeology and history really came through. Her explanations felt thoughtful and insightful rather than like a rehearsed script, and she helped us notice details and understand stories that we certainly would have missed on our own. She was also funny, personable, highly professional, and always happy to answer our questions.
Garifallia truly brought the history of the Acropolis to life and made the entire experience much more meaningful and memorable. I cannot recommend this tour and especially Garifallia highly enough!!!!

We really enjoyed learning about the history, and Viktor made the experience engaging and interesting. He did a great job including everyone in the group, regardless of their level of physical mobility. We didn’t have to wait in any lines, and the pace of the tour was just right. I highly recommend this tour, and if you can, ask for Viktor as your guide.

Excellent experience. Worth getting a live tour where you get historical explanations of each site while you climb to the Acropolis.
The check in was a bit chaotic but once sorted, you are on your way. Including the museum tour is great however, feels long and exhausting after a few hours at the Acropolis as the first part of the tour.

This activity was very enjoyable! Our tour guide Paula was very knowledgeable and kind. This activity taught us a lot about both locations and allowed us to really appreciate these monuments. I would recommend taking water with you and wear shoes with good tread. The pathways are slippery in certain points.

We had THE BEST experience on this tour- all due to our incredible tour guide Antzela! I want to give this tour more than five stars. We opted for the included tickets for both the Acropolis site and the Museum, and it was worth every penny. Our guide was Alex and he is an absolute expert on all things Acropolis and Ancient Greek History in general. I especially loved how he described the way the Brutalist architecture of the museum was designed to simulate and compliment the classical forms. We had 90+ degree weather and he managed to keep us in the shade or moving at pace that kept us from noticing the heat. Not only that, but he is a passionate teacher. A teacher myself, I came into the tour knowing a decent amount about mythology, but he tied it all together with the modern world and the human psyche in such a way that it will inform my own teaching of literature.

We had a great experience touring the Acropolis, Parthenon and the museum. Our guide Demetrius was wonderful and he took extra care to tell the children in our group to step forward to see some displays. Demetrius’ knowledge of Greek history is excellent and we all learned more about factual Greek history in addition to Greek Mythology. Would recommend this tour with Demetrius.

Highly suggest booking the earliest tour to be first, which is what we did. As we were leaving the parthenon area, TONS of people were coming up and it was shoulder to shoulder inching up and down the slope. so EVERYONE is stuck inching along this same area, really odd layout/design for tourist accessibility to and from the site.
The tour itself was well done, our tour guide is REALLY knowledgeable which I appreciate. We included the museum so the guide continued with us. The ruins below the museum is included with your ticket but the guide does not accompany you. The tour company is VERY organized and has a storefront, so it was SUPER easy to call and let them know we were 5 minutes late.
Overall, if you want a guide to tell you facts, the tour is good. It was completely unnecessary and quite pricy for us.
If you want to see ruins, I suggest Akrotiri Archeological Site on Santorini instead.

John the Archeologist was our tour guide. He was very informative and passionate about sharing his knowledge. My in-laws were having difficulty walking up to the Acropolis. They decided not to walk up with us. Once we got to the top, we noticed there is an elevator for those with disabilities. My MIL has a handicap tag in the US and so the site workers were kind to allow her to use the elevator. We wish we would have known about this option ahead of time as it is available for those on site.

We had a wonderful guide Marina who told us in glorious detail about the Acropolis with such a passion. Hearing about the history of this area from someone local who loves their culture and ancestry brings a whole new level to the experience. The Acropolis and the museum are beautiful and wonderful, but it is a lot of steps, if it is hot, make sure to bring water as at the top there is no shade.
Guide was excellent (Vernandos) and went the extra mile to help my family get the elevator down from the Acropolis (yes there is an elevator!)

City Wonders (through Aviator) did an amazing job with our Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill tour. Booking was easy, and the communication and information beforehand were great.
Our guide, Nicola Guglielmi, is an archaeologist and was incredibly knowledgeable about the history. He was funny, took his time to explain things, and never made us feel rushed.
The group was about 20 people, but it didn’t really affect the experience — the headsets were clear throughout. The pacing felt just right, not too fast and not too slow, giving us enough time to take in the information. The stories and facts were well-selected, which is probably why we remember so much of it. We did the tour with two teenagers, and they still recall the information and stories he shared.
The logistics around the meeting point were very clear, and the team was well-prepared. The tour was about 3 hours long, but it didn’t feel long at all — Nicola was mindful of taking us to cooler areas, keeping us hydrated, and finding the perfect shaded spots to rest.
We would highly recommend this tour, especially for families with teenagers — it’s engaging enough to hold their attention while still being informative and fun for adults.

We had an amazing experience on our Acropolis tour! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the history of the Acropolis to life with fascinating stories and insights. She explained everything in a way that was engaging and easy to understand, making the ancient ruins even more impressive. We learned so much and left with a much deeper appreciation for the history and culture of Athens. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city, it was one of the highlights of our trip!
