Fantastic tour of off the beaten path spots in the heart of Athens.. great way to avoid the crowded tourist spots and enjoy great food from local family owned restaurants and businesses. Our guide was super friendly, funny and well versed in Greek food, its history and overall history of Greece.. the variety of the food was excellent and the quality was superb. All fresh, homemade and sourced in Greece. Highly recommend this food tour.

Dinner tour with Katerina. Family of 7, parents and 5 twenty something kids. Loved everything! Food was excellent, Katerina was terrific and our group was fun. I would definitely recommend
We absolutely loved this your. My husband and I have done a similar tour in other cities and this one did not disappoint. Katerina was full of information but did not overwhelm. Her tour was perfectly planned and executed with little nuggets of info along the way. You could tell she loves her job and talking about her country and culture.
Constantina was so lovely! She was very friendly,knowledgeable and kept our group together. The stops were all amazing! Loved all of the food and wine. Alittle more expensive but worth it! Great way to explore a part of the city

Great experience tasting a variety of local dishes. Guide also provided a list of non touristy restaurants to enjoy while in town.
A wonderful opportunity to try numerous different types of food on our walking tour. Our guide was most informative, fun and spoke very good English. All of the providers of food were very nice and accommodations were wonderful.

Fabulous food tour!! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and we tried some amazing food. We visited a family owned honey business and tried several tasty honey options plus some amazing skin care products made with the honey. I highly recommend this tour when you visit Athens.
We enjoyed the walking food tour in Athens. Our guide moved at an appropriate pace considering the heat. He shared relevant information about Athens and the food culture. We were able to sample typical Greek foods. It was a fun way to start our trip.
Booked this food tour to get our bearings in Athens, and it ended up being the best decision of the trip. Maria was fantastic as she clearly knows the food scene, the restaurants, and how the dishes are prepared. All the spots were clearly locally owned, not big chains or franchises. It felt less like a tour and more like walking around with a friend who happens to know everyone and everything on the menu.
Maria went above and beyond even after the tour, when we reached out for recommendations based on what we’d told her we liked. We even ended up going back to a couple of the spots she’d shown us.
If you like orienting yourself in a new city through food and local knowledge rather than checkbox sightseeing, this experience is exactly that.
Excellent food tour. We tried foods we would have not ordered on our own. Everything was delicious and Zeffe was a great guide.
We started our tour with a stop in a bakery; we each were given a spinich, cheese and a sweet pie….delicious! The second stop was a honey tasting with an interesting explanation of each type. The third stop was a deli with an assortment of meats, cheeses and olives. And the final stop was a delicious sit down lunch, the highlight of our tour. We then had dessert nearby. Our guide, Zeffie, was lovely and very informative.
So much fun with Christina and our group of 8! She picked great locations and kept us entertained with historical and personal stories. I highly recommend!!

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are glad you appreciated our local guide's expertise and enjoyed exploring a unique neighborhood you wouldn't have discovered on your own. We understand you might have been looking for something a bit more staged or upscale. However, our tour is specifically designed to showcase authentic, everyday family-run spots rather than polished dining environments.
We were blown away by this food tour. Our guide Constantina was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and was very generous with her time, with our tour lasting about three and a half hours. As a group we were treated to a *lot* of food over this time, so don’t eat lunch beforehand! And on top of that, the restaurant we ate lunch at brought my wife a cake to celebrate her birthday, which was a lovely moment and a nice touch. The only thing I would say is that guides should be given some kind of flag to hold to stop the group being separated in busy areas, although in practice this wasn’t a problem for us. Overall, we had a great time and thought the tour was very good value for money.
Jahnnis(?) was an incredible guide with excellent choices of local Greek food. Each stop was unique with delicious items —so much — savory food. The tour and walk through Athens was informative and interesting

Orestis was super knowledgeable about the city, the food and the places we went to!! It was an amazing experience that felt very personalized to what we liked. The food was all amazing and we left super full and satisfied. He was very helpful for anything we needed in Athens. He gave us great suggestions of what to do with our remaining time in the city. It was a wonderful experience!!
Eleni guided us to a series of amazing special places! She was able to very easily accommodate our request for vegetarian food, and we loved several of the stops so much, we returned to them later in our trip in Athens. By the end of the tour, we were absolutely stuffed - I wishes we had had a fridge to be able to keep leftovers! This is a great way to experience some places you wouldn't necessarily come to on your own, see some of the neighborhoods, learn about the food, and just have a great time. Because we did an evening tour, we didn't go to the central market becuase it was closed, so if that is important to you, be sure to book a tour earlier in the day.
Vasilli was an excellent guide to the food of Athens. We got to taste a little of everything we sampled. It was all very good. Recommended!
With a Masters Degree in History, our guide Bill not only provided information about Greek foods and restaurants, he also gave us a lot of interesting facts about Athens history and culture. We were glad we did this tour on our first day as Bill provided many good recommendations on where to eat and where to shop for foods to take home.

What a fabulous food tour! Prepare to be stuffed! Go hungry! We have been on many…we typically do one on our day 1 in a new city…makes eating easy. This was a fabulous one! Eleni was so warm, and knowledgeable…a lifelong Athenian. The food was superb, and we went back to 2 locations in the following days! We even ran into Eleni on tour again. 5 stars!
