Maribeth was fantastic. Maribeth storytelling was engaging. She kept reengaging my 9 and 12 year olds with questions and offers to participate. She was patient and kind. I can’t imagine experiencing the national archives without her. Well worth the cost of the guided tour.

I learned so much

Maribeth was great. Best history lesson I've ever had. Even my Adult and Teen boys were engaged and left with a sense of patriotic pride.

Our tour build was knowledgeable about the documents and she took her time with us as we walked through the museum. Only suggestion would be better pick up point location directions.

Brenda was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable with lots of “insider” stories! And skipping the lines was an added bonus!

Buyer beware of the tour guide you get

sandra_b, Aug 2022
We would have preferred to have a guide who was less chatty about modern movies and politics during our archival tour. Most of the time she would be speaking for 5-10 minutes in front of a display before we figured out how what she was talking about tied to the display we were in front of. This was after we were initially rushed through security. Not only did our guide not inform us cameras are not allowed (which were plainly hanging from our necks) she complained so much about us being slow we barely had time to take the stuff out of our pockets. She immediately headed toward the stairs and up while one of us was still at security. She was very kind in apologizing for her attitude at the beginning as she wanted us to have some time with the documents in the rotunda. Just don’t look at those other displays up there because they aren’t important. And she was kind enough to apologize as she was giving us *facts* about things currently under investigation. All in all bad opinionated and skewed tour.

Fascinating tour of the archives!

Laura_S, Jul 2022

Worth every penny!

Amanda_M, Jul 2022
This was the most informative tour I went on during my entire DC trip. Our guide (Donna) was infinitely knowledgeable and answered every question we threw at her.

Very informative!

Britni_L, Jun 2022
Jennifer was very informative guide. Very knowledgeable of Washington’s history and the tour allows for easy access to the archives.

Worth the money!

Christina_H, Jun 2022
Bess was a great guide. We attended the tour during Juneteenth weekend and had the privilege to see the original Emancipation of Proclamation and Order No.3. Bess took her time and we really enjoyed our visit. Having her commentary was beneficial and allowed us to understand the importance of what we were viewing and the story behind the archives.

Well worth it.

Timothy_H, May 2022
