This was fantastic. I took my 19-year-old son. It was a casual environment and the teacher made us feel at home. She was informative and we got to do everything hands-on. The food was fresh and delicious.

Fumiko does a wonderful job teaching how to make sushi. Her explanations are easy to understand and she is well prepared. It’s in an out of the way place, so plan extra time to arrive.

Great experience, 17 year old son loved it too. We learned much from our patient teacher. Be prepared for a walk, not strenuous, but comfort shoes appreciated.

Fun sushi class

Fumiko was nice, relaxed, and knowledgeable. We had fun and made great food. I have way more confidence in my ability to make sushi at home now. Be aware that the walk to the market and back was almost a 2 mile round trip, so bring your walking shoes!

A fun sushi experience

Fukimo was interesting and funny and gave us a good lesson as well as giving really good tips about how to make your sushi properly. I enjoyed the brief tour of the local fish market and historical lessons too! I would definitely recommend this experience!

Wonderful time!

It was SO much fun! We made the most perfect rolls. The rice was even better! I can’t wait to go home and try. I’ll definitely be back to do another class with her!!
