An Easy YES - book it!
Sonic John is THE MAN. Seriously, this is a great way to experience the market if you have never been. I'd plan to do the tour and then give yourself time to explore afterward. Also, there is real food! We were STUFFED afterwards. We had planned to have lunch after, and we didn't need it.
OH, also... the Market has NO LOGICAL LAYOUT. They have 1/2 numbered levels and you just randomly find yourself on another level (3 turned into 4 just walking at the same level). He has lived the history of the market. Listen to him, note where you want to come back to, and ask him how to get there.
Easy 5 stars. THANKS JOHN.

A Pike place to be!
We had an amazing experience on the Pike Place Market food tour! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and friendly, making the tour both informative and entertaining from start to finish. We learned so much about the history of the market while enjoying a fantastic variety of delicious local foods.
What really made the experience stand out was our guide’s enthusiasm and ability to connect with everyone in the group. They shared fascinating stories, answered every question, and made sure everyone felt welcome and included.
I would highly recommend this tour to both visitors and locals looking to experience Pike Place Market in a unique and memorable way. It was one of the highlights of our trip, and we would absolutely do it again!

Great for navigating a busy Saturday afternoon
Bob is a really excellent guide. My husband and I have been in Seattle several times and explored Pike place on our own. But it’s always been during the weekday because we would travel for work. This time we’re on a family trip with my siblings and their families (including two kids) and my mom. We wanted to book a tasting tour because we knew it would be busy and we wanted to learn about Pike place and have the tasters. Bob is so knowledgeable and I learned a lot about Pike Place history as well as a few extra nuggets. The tasters we got at each place were small, but added up to us being full by the end. It was great not to have to wait in long lines and all the food was delicious. I really appreciated that Bob also tipped all of the street performers when we went by even if we didn’t stop to listen. He said that it’s important to tip street performers and I can’t agree more. Highly recommend taking this tour and asking for Bob!

Memorable and Enjoyable!
Although we had been to Pike Place Market a number of times before, we recently took this tour and greatly enjoyed it! We would definitely recommend it to others, as we learned a lot about the history of Pike Place Market and Seattle in general. Our tour guide David, also known as "Lucky," was extremely knowledgeable and provided entertaining stories about the colorful past and current status of Pike Place Market, its diversity, as well as very tasty samples of its food and drinks! We had a wonderful time!

Dale was a great tour...
Dale was a great tour guide! He gave some really cool facts about the city and some great fun facts from his experience. The falls were amazing! Dale gave us really cool tips to help with capturing some great pics. We also saw the Fremont troll, Ballard Locks, and got some amazing shots of the space needle from Kerry park.

Perfect way to taste your way around Pike Place Market
If you wanted an introduction to what food and drink options are available at Pike Place Market then this is the tour for you. We visited 8 different places to get a taster of - ginger beer, ice cream, fish and chips, clam chowder (very surprising seeing as wasn’t always a fan), Turkish delight, lentil soup, chocolate cherries, fruit, donuts. Every one was delicious.
Our tour guide was knowledgeable not just about the food, but also in giving a brief history of different parts of the market.

Amazing tour!
Great tour! James was our tour guide and he was wonderful! Got us around efficiently and we had some trivia on the bus and learned a bunch of interesting facts about wine and Seattle/Washington area. The first stop goose ridge we did have to pay for the wine tasting but the lady was great and instead of the prefix tasting list let us pick which wines we wanted to try and had a bonus of a spirit at the end. Ste. Michelle was beautiful, and the waterfall was amazing! Then we ended with some great chocolate, overal 10/10 experience!

Devious Donut Tour
We truly enjoyed this tour. Bella was excellent, she was friendly and pleasant. Not only did she take us to wonderful bakeries, she told us alot of interesting facts about Seattle and the bakeries. I was surprised when each bakery had a different type/flavor. They all tasted amazing.

Joe Kim was the ultimate...
Joe Kim was the ultimate guide! We learned a lot about Seattle and the history of Pike Market while enjoying several tasty dishes and treats. The pace was just right, and Joe happily answered any questions we had. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who loves food and a history.

Bites of the Emerald City
We had such a fun time on this food tour! Our guide was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and really made the experience feel personal. We especially appreciated that she went above and beyond by hanging out with us for an extra two hours—it felt less like a tour and more like spending time with a new friend.
The stops we visited were great, and we enjoyed getting to try a variety of different flavors along the way. That said, we were expecting something a bit more filling—closer to a meal rather than smaller tasting portions—so that’s something to keep in mind if you come hungry.
Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience with a fantastic guide, and we’re glad we went!

Lovely tour
We had a wonderful tour with Sarah. She picked us up at the appointed time and the van was very comfortable and spacious. Sarah was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The falls were beautiful and even though weather was not great, we enjoyed the hike. We then visited three wineries, each one had a different vibe. Lunch was very good and all of us appreciated that it was a healthy meal. The wine tastings were very generous, too!

Tasting tour was great. We should have taken it on day 1 of our visit for the perspective it provides.
This tour provides you with a good array of tasting from the market. It is not meant to be a meal but provides more than sufficient samplings that you won’t need a meal soon after. Our tour guide Bob was great giving us historical background of the market. He was pleasant and conscious of folks time constraints. He also gave us a great perspective of the market which allowed us to better explore the market on our own!
