This Mt. Rainier day trip begins with a pickup from select hotels in Seattle. Then prepare for a narrated, scenic drive.
Stops can vary depending on then weather and conditions, but can include Longmire, the visitor center at the southwest corner of the park, to explore their museum and National Park Inn. Visit Christine Falls, with one of the signature views in Mt Rainier National Park (look for the bridge). Then walk along the Nisqually River up to Narada Falls, considered the most popular waterfall in Mt Rainier State Park.
Then it’s off to the pinnacle event of the day: the view at Paradise, which is 5,400 feet (1,646 meters) above sea level. Purchase lunch here and take in the incredible view of Mt. Rainier and the valley below. Be on the lookout for wildlife.
During the wintertime, an optional snowshoe adventure is possible, if conditions allow. During the summertime, simply enjoy the scene at Reflection Lakes, which provides one of the most iconic views of Mt. Rainier.
Then it’s back down the mountain to Seattle.

- The seasons, weather, and elevation partially determine what you’ll see on your tour. During the weekdays, mid October-April, there are limited food services available in the National Park. Customers will have an opportunity to purchase food en route. This was an unforgettable experience! Lucas was a phenomenal tour guide with his knowledge and entertaining stories that had all of us engaged. The views were impeccable and you have the flexibility to go and get the most out of the experience at each of the stops. As a solo traveler, this was one of my favorite tours I have done ever. Highly recommend for anyone, especially those who want to experience nature and have a core memory!

This Mt Ranier tour was a really great way to spend the day in nature and experience the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Thankfully, we were picked up in the morning outside our hotel, which couldn't be easier. We picked up several others and went out of the city. First stop was a huge grocery store so we could buy lunch or other items. We had several stops to admire gorgeous waterfalls and short hikes. I loved seeing the several hundred old cedars. The tour was catered to what we wanted to see and what was accessible based on the weather. Overall, this was a great day.

Amazing day riding the bus to Paradise and up the south side to 5400 ft. Be prepared for snow on top and it was snowing. The giftshop in Longmire was disappointing (staff not very accommodating or friendly) .
Guide was brilliant and made for a great experience! Highly recommend.

Had a great time with Cory today touring Mt Rainier. Cory was fun and had a lot of knowledge of the area. I highly recommend this tour and if you can choose your tour guide, ask for Cory.

There is a strong possibility of hiking for those that want to. There also is no guarantee of seeing the mountain top given the uncertainty of ever changing in weather conditions. There’s so many beautiful things to view on the drive, as well as all of the stops which our guide, kindly pointed out. Take advantage of the stop at the grocery store on the drive up the mountain if you did not pack a lunch. Our guide, Lucas, was phenomenal!!! he did his best to accommodate all requests. He kept us informed of what was coming ahead. We enjoyed his stories from his own personal experiences, but he wasn’t one of those guides who felt like he had talk all the time. While weather did not allow us to see the peak itself (we came close), it was overall a fantastic experience for my wife and I.

The tour to Mount Rainier was an amazing experience! The weather was great and our tour guide Cory made sure we would get the most out of the day by giving us several info while taking us to several viewpoints and for hiking. The hiking with snow shoes was for sure the highlight of the day! Thanks to Cory it was a day well spent and I would definitely recommend this activity to anyone visiting Seattle!

It was a wonderful tour. Cory did a great job!
My only negative comment is we were told to meet at 0720 for pick up and were not picked up til 0800. I did not receive a text or email stating the pick up time changed.
After waiting 30 minutes I called Viator to confirm if the tour was cancelled or not.

Since your reservation was made through Viator, some general timing information may differ from the exact pickup time assigned for your location. Our guides begin pickups around 7:20 AM and continue along the route, so each hotel has its own scheduled time.

Our tour guide James made sure to know the names of all his passengers and also bought cookies and cupcakes for passenger birthdays and our anniversary! James was Awesome!! We were fortunate enough to have beautiful weather that allowed us to make it all the way up to Paradise!! The views of the fall we just breathtaking along with the views of and from Mount Rainier! They provided snowshoes and spikes for us to do some exploring in the snow and on some trails. We had a nice amount of time at the various stops for pictures and exploring! Even stopped for ice cream before heading back! James was very informative and even did some Seattle trivia with us! We learned alot on the way to the mountain and he gave the passengers some quiet time on the drive back to allow for some rest after a terrific day! I would highly recommend this tour and would definatly love to have James as a guide again in the future!

It was rainy, so good for the guide for pressing on. There was too much "democracy" on the trip. It is one thing to say "At our next stop you have one of three choices." It is another to ask for a vote as to whether the group wants to stop here or there. Of course some want to stop! Nobody wants to be "that guy" who is the only one to vote to do something and then fear resentment from all who just want to sit around all day.

Come prepared for the weather at higher elevations . Enjoy as many hikes as you can and be ready for it to be an awe inspiring experience . Two deer came down from a mountain and headed right for me . With no fear , crossed in front of me by 14’ . National Geographic has nothing on my pictures and/or experience .

Highlights Tour" with tour guide James. I would highly recommend this to anyone! He was super knowledgeable (about everything), friendly and really went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time. Extras that made this tour exceptional were providing snow spikes and hiking poles so we didn't slip on the snow/ice (went in April), had cold drinking water, a cooler for our lunches, and knew all the best spots to see. My teenagers and I had an excellent time.

Great tour! Our tour guide, Cory was great! We got some great photos of Mt. Rainier and waterfalls. He was very helpful on our hikes and even had snowshoes for the more difficult hikes. It was a great day!!!!

very fun trip up to the mountain the trail was closed due to weather but joel was a great guide and did amazing pivoting and finding us other views! i also even left my headphones on the bus and he drove back to me to drop them off! i plan on visiting again so I will definitely book with yall again!

I went with my cousin and we had a blast! We stopped at great places to get pictures and the overall experience was awesome! There's a lot of hiking opportunities and great views to see. The best part was hiking on Mount Rainer ans seeing the surrounding mountains. It was such a cool experience!
Our bus driver was great, Lucas made sure that we know where we are going, what the plan was for the day and if there were any changes. He made the experience more enjoyable as he made it comfortable.
