This Mt. Rainier day trip begins with a pickup from select hotels in Seattle. Then prepare for a narrated, scenic drive.
Stops can vary depending on then weather and conditions, but can include Longmire, the visitor center at the southwest corner of the park, to explore their museum and National Park Inn. Visit Christine Falls, with one of the signature views in Mt Rainier National Park (look for the bridge). Then walk along the Nisqually River up to Narada Falls, considered the most popular waterfall in Mt Rainier State Park.
Then it’s off to the pinnacle event of the day: the view at Paradise, which is 5,400 feet (1,646 meters) above sea level. Purchase lunch here and take in the incredible view of Mt. Rainier and the valley below. Be on the lookout for wildlife.
During the wintertime, an optional snowshoe adventure is possible, if conditions allow. During the summertime, simply enjoy the scene at Reflection Lakes, which provides one of the most iconic views of Mt. Rainier.
Then it’s back down the mountain to Seattle.

- The seasons, weather, and elevation partially determine what you’ll see on your tour. During the weekdays, mid October-April, there are limited food services available in the National Park. Customers will have an opportunity to purchase food en route. I highly recommend Customized Tours & Charters! Lucas was the absolute best tour guide. I would not have been able to fully appreciate this experience without him. He made you understand the beauty and rarity of Mount Rainier. He was very kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Made sure we could see the best views. Awesome having a local guy as your tour guide! Will definitely rebook for Olympic National Park instead if I have the chance to visit Washington again.

This was an awesome trip on a beautiful day. Our guide and driver, Corey, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, funny and very customer oriented. He took great care of our tour group
Good weather, nice company, gracious, pleasant & entertaining tour director Joel from Customized Tours. We can’t ask for more yesterday!
This tour was on time picking us up and directly at our hotel , which was nice. Our guide, Joel, was knowledgeable and very nice! He knows all about Seattle the city itself and the park. He’s an excellent photographer and ready to take pictures for you! We hit all the right spots and even stopped for ice cream on the way back. Definitely recommend this tour for a taste of Mt. Rainier!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Absolutely Incredible Day at Mount Rainier with Lucas!
We did our tour on September 16, 2026, with Lucas as our guide, and it was the BEST day ever! This was my second Mount Rainier tour, and while my first experience was wonderful despite the mountain hiding behind the clouds, this time she was out and showing off ALL DAY! 🏔️❤️
Lucas was fantastic! He was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and did an excellent job of setting realistic expectations as we visited different areas of the park.
One example that really stood out was our stop at Reflection Lake. He explained that those picture-perfect photos you see of the mountain reflected in glassy, mirror-like water are typically captured early in the morning or later in the afternoon, when the winds are calmer. Rather than letting people feel disappointed if the lake didn't look exactly like the photos they'd seen, he helped us understand why conditions vary. I really appreciated that!
He also made sure we experienced Mount Rainier from several different vantage points, giving us opportunities to appreciate the mountain from multiple angles. Every stop seemed to offer another spectacular view!
Lucas's knowledge, enthusiasm, and thoughtful approach made an already beautiful day even more memorable. You could tell he genuinely wanted everyone to have a wonderful experience.
If you're considering a Mount Rainier tour, I can't recommend this experience enough. And if you're lucky enough to get Lucas as your guide, you're in excellent hands!

Although the weather was very misty, it was a thoroughly enjoyable trip. The highlight of the trip was seeing bears. Our guide, Mark, made plenty of stops during the journey, allowing us to see many amazing sights.
This tour made it so easy to get to see Mt.Rainer NP. They picked us up and dropped us off right at our hotel.
Our driver, Lucas, was personable, knowledgable & we felt comfortable/safe in the van. Get experience!
It went smoothly, unfortunately Mount Rainier was covered in clouds. But that's not something people can control.
Cory was absolutely exceptional! He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and truly went out of his way to highlight unique aspects of the tour that matched our interests. His flexibility and deep expertise made the day unforgettable. Highly recommend requesting Cory if you book!

Picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel was so great we had an awesome day and he gave time for restroom breaks and photo ops
Joel was great, we knew when and where we were going to stop, what we could see, how long we would stay. Great driver and guide!
Kevin is an excellent tour guide. I enjoyed every minute of the tour. I enjoyed all the spectacular views of the tour.
The tour was well done .The stops were just right as far as comfort.the bus was clean and comfortable.the amount of time at each place was appropriate. The bus driver was knowledgeable and personable and well versed .my only complaint is that the driver’s son was on this trip which I felt was not appropriate.He had the child telling stories to the group I don’t pay for children to be included and felt it was inappropriate.i don’t think this should have been allowed.We made an extra stop to accommodate the child to be let off .i felt that we paid for an adult to be leading the group not his child to be along .

The views were incredible & Cory was a great guide! Plenty of stops for great pictures, and if going to Paradise, you get nearly 2 hours free to go hike.

Our guide was James who was extremely knowledgeable and kept us all very entertained. James helped us to maximize our time at Mt Rainier. I highly recommend James. The only thing I would have changed is to have one meeting point for everyone on the tour. We spent almost an hour in the morning and another hour after the tour picking up or dropping off people at the various meeting points. It is a long day especially when spending so much time going to the many meeting points.

This was such a great trip. The park has lots of beautiful trails with amazing views of the mountains. We were also fortunate to see black bears from a safe distances. Our tour guide James was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the park and trails. Plus he also made sure to make stops so we can take pictures.

I booked this last minute bc I found myself in Seattle for work and a couple open days before. To note, I’m a fairly fit person and enjoy hiking, though wouldn’t say I’m super experienced at all, and I did almost zero research on hikes in Seattle prior. So booked this tour to see all the highlights - my tour group was mostly older couples and we made several stops for just photos… but when we got to Paradise, we had different options of what we’d like to do. Lucas was super informative and gave us lots of history and facts along the way there. While stops were mostly short walks and photos, most stops are connected to nice hikes (for a next trip). When we got to Paradise, we only had about 2.5 hours there and Lucas let me know to do the skyline trail counterclockwise and take the EXTREMELY scenic Golden agate trail to shave off a mile. I made it back with 10 minutes to spare. This was such a nice intro to Mt Rainier and I would definitely come back on my own as it has really made me fall in love with PNW!! Hats off to Lucas for being so accommodating and CLEAR with instructions especially as a solo female hiker with little experience. I made it through the loop and everything was clearly marked. Highly recommend if you are short on time and want to see the major stops.

This is a must do. Best tour guide. Everyone needs to visit Mt. RAINIER. It is amazing and beautiful. Most thoughtful and knowledgeable guide. Joel was the best host. Putting all tour attendees amazing. Worth every dime.

Extremely happy I booked this experience, I was unsure if I was going to be going to Seattle solo or with a friend so I was stuck between renting a car and attempting to explore on my own or booking an experience like this one. I am soooo glad I booked the experience. Even though I had a friend join me, I know would have had a positive experience solo. The tour guide was super friendly and showed us so many beautiful spots. We even got to hug a super giant tree. So many picture perfect photos.
