What did I pay for?

Honestly, the walk to the Vatican was late. We still "waited" in line for the guy to buy our tickets. We didn't save any time at all. In fact, we wasted it. I would have much rather preferred getting my ticket on my own rather than having an overpriced "host". The Vatican MUSEUM ticket is 17€. Viator charges $34. I would not recommend.

Thank you for reviewing. Our local hosts who wait for you at our office near the Vatican always depart from there with you with the tickets we bought for you. Tickets for the Vatican are always sold out, especially in high season days, and the line to enter without a pre-booked tickets is very long. A host leads you to the entrance of the museums and goes at the box office inside museums just to give you the printed ticket to proceed on your own: this is Vatican official procedure to exchange the pre-booked tickets at the entrance.
