Not really a “tour” or “experience” - just a dinner reservation

Susie_H, Sep 2024
Just call it a reservation at the restaurant, nothing more. Food was good and it was still a worthwhile experience, but you might as well just book a reservation on the website for the restaurant. They couldn’t even find our name when we arrived in the system, but they still accommodated us.

Awesome once in a lifetime evoerience

To learn how to make different shapes of pasta from the iconic place that invented the Alfredo, was a once in a lifetime experience. The lunch served after was superb!

Pasta Pilgrimage

Stan_S, Jun 2024
Alfredo’s wife suffered after delivering a baby and he created his famous dish to give her strength. For all of us who have benefited - or at least pleasured - from his remedy, a dinner at one of the two restaurants where he worked in Rome is a pilgrimage. The opportunity to meet a current chef and discuss pasta history and techniques is a tourist treasure. And, your group will stay for a meal as a special guest. Fun and informative. Come home with the certificate, the apron, and another pound.

A must when in Rome if you are a Fettuccini Alfredo lover!!

The food was amazing! The tasting menu was really superb and the experience was really excellent overall!!! By far, the best fettuccini alfredo I've ever had!!!

Great food and an amazing head waiter

Remi_F, Aug 2022
The food was very good. A little disappointed about the dessert. The head waiter was awesome and contributed to an amazing evening. While the service unfortunately was not up to the standards of 5 stars.

Excellent Experience!! A must do!

Al Dente

Make sure you fast for a couple of days before you venture into this. Our pasta class was held by their executive chef and was very understanding with our sometimes awkwardness. ( you have to make and hand roll the pasta, no machine). Then you are seated and given a gourmand 4 course dinner including their famous Fetucinne Alfredo. This is the 2nd course and we were waving the white flag then.

Loved the class!

MaryClaire_F, Jun 2019
Had so much fun at this cooking class! Learn how to make different kinds of pasta and get a little goody bag to go. You then get an amazing sit down meal at the restaurant. Well worth doing, highly recommend!

It happend that we actually had a private cooking lesson of how to make the true italian pasta since none else booked for the same day. Be aware that in the cooking lesson there are no sauce recipes included. The dinner was a fantastic experience. The staff was very friendly and always happy to serve you. We had a fantastic evening

We felt like we were put in a corner and forgotten about. Food was good. But service was not. We were not happy with this experience.

This was a fantastic experience for our two teen aged boys who LOVE fettuccine alfredo!. They happened to be the only two participants so it felt very intimate and special. They really learned a lot! The one thing I'll say is the class is taught by a professional chef from the restaurant. It's not a kids class. They need to be prepared to work and to follow instructions carefully - it's designed to be instructional, not supper warm and fuzzy. I wouldn't recommend it for kids under 12 or 13 and adults will love it. Lunch after is fantastic although you're NOT eating what you made. Worth the money!

Okay - this was really fabulous. I must confess that Fettucine Alfredo is one of my most-loved indulgences. We did not do the class, but to be able to have it at the original restaurant as part of a 4-course dinner was a blast. Service was excellent we never felt like we were just another tourist, portions were great, quality was terrific and the place was super cool. We will fondly remember our experience at Alfredo's for a long, long time!

This pasta making class was so much fun, and the lunch following was spectacular! Our chef, as well as his assistant, really took the time to teach the class the fine art of making fettuccine, tortellini, etc.! We were all assigned our own station, with our own work-space and ingredients. When the class was finished, we proceeded to the restaurant where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch, complete with vino! I would DEFINITELY recommend this, and we even returned for dinner our last night in Roma!!! FABULOUS!!!

Very private- two of us plus two chefs from the Original Alfredo di Roma. They tought us to make fettucini from scratch, gave us their original recipe and guess what we got to eat a full lunch at Alfredo's. Nothing better than that. Truly awesome.

What a fun way to enjoy lunch! They were all set up and waiting for us with an apéritif. The chef gave my husband and I a 1-hr hands on lesson on how to make pasta. We had a few laughs, made a mess and learned a lot. Afterwards we sat and were spoiled as they brought out the preset menu. We had a great lunch of antipasto, wine, fettuccine alfredo and tiramisu. The pasta in Rome is like nothing we've found in the States or UK. They even gave us a box of the fettuccine to take home although not fresh it is still better than what I normally find in the grocery store. I highly recommend it as something different to do in-between all the galleries and museums.

We had such a great time with the Making Pizza and Gelato Tour in Florence that our teenagers wanted to do another cooking class in Rome. This was different from the first one - takes place in the restaurant before opening, then you stay and have a fairly traditional lunch. You learn how to make your own pasta, different types and even ravioli - which my daughter has already done since we got home. They really do not teach you alfredo but you get a general recipe before you leave. And you get to eat the Alfredo in the restaurant for lunch. We enjoyed ourselves, had some laughs and our teens have some new skills that will stay with them forever.

I booked thinking I would learn how to make fettucine alfredo complete dish This is not worth the money I paid almost 200 US for 2 people Yes, it did include lunch afterwards, but the cooking part that I was most excited about was not really cooking They showed us how to make homemade pasta and how to cut the pasta into different sizes and then it was over..what about the alfredo sauce?!!! We also did not get recipes to take home as it states in voucher either. The lunch was good but not worth the money, would actually have saved money by just ordering off the menu as italian food is very reasonable in Italy.

This was a great experience! We loved learning to make pasta - the Chef was charming. Lunch was the best part, the food was great and the surprise during lunch no spoiler alert, was VERY COOL. We felt like we got to be a part of the Alfredo history. I recommend this for foodies and those just wanting to do something different. This was a great bonding experience for my son and I. Grazie!

Completely outstanding! The staff was so friendly and kind and helpful. It ended up just being us two in the class with the chef so we can to joke around a lot. The pasta was out of this world! We also learned that this restaurant is actually the birthplace for Fettuccine Alfredo! They mix up the cheese table-side and I was handed the restaurant's golden spoon and fork to eat with. When they learned we were on our honeymoon, they treated us to dessert as well. Definitely the highlight experience of our trip and would recommend to anyone! Can't wait to show what we learned and cook with our friends and family.
