The people at the tour site were great but the Vatican tour is underwhelming. It would be much better if it wasn’t hot and muggy inside and there are way too many people. They herd you through like cattle.
Varsha_I, Apr 2026
Must see attraction and skip the line helped. I found this to be expensive with no tour guide included but skip the line and the attraction irself was worth it.
Daniel_P, Mar 2026
We had a very good experience. We were escorted to the Vatican Museum & Sistine Chapel & were able to skip the line! Our escort took care of everything & was so friendly. The site itself is magnificent. Just one thing to note. When you book your experience the voucher you receive is not your ticket. You have to turn in your voucher at the Viator ticket site. It clearly states this but it can be missed.
Dan_W, Jan 2026
Very disappointing that the chapel was closed and we still had to pay full price. Was good otherwise.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Dear customer,
we understand your disappointment regarding the chapel being closed and we are sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, this was due to decisions made by the relevant authorities and was outside of our control, and not always foreseeable in advance.
We are pleased to hear that the rest of the experience was positive and that you were able to enjoy the visit overall. Your feedback is very important to us and helps us continue improving the service we offer.

We purchased a ticket that allowed us to skip the regular line, but the special line at the Vatican Museum was still quite long. Unfortunately, we missed out on a whole experience at the Sistine Chapel due to a special closure.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Dear Sir/Madam,
we sincerely apologize for what happened, which was beyond our control. The decision regarding the closure is entirely at the discretion of the Vatican authorities.
As for the long line, unfortunately we are aware that skip-the-line access does not always fully meet expectations, as it largely depends on visitor attendance, which at times can cause long queues, especially due to the security checks required by the Vatican.
We truly hope that during a future visit we will be able to offer you a better experience.
Kind regards,
Gyash Tours

Vatican Museum is closed a lot during holidays. This service helped us secure true skip the line tickets on short notice. Worked very well.
Gary_T, Dec 2025
I booked for 3pm .. arrived at 2.30pm to collect tickets to be told to go back at 3pm .. At 3pm I collected tickets to then have a 10min walk to entrance and que again .. then by this time we were told we had missed our tour and we had to walk through with no guide .. very disappointed and advise anyone to confirm
If you pick your tickets at stated time you will not miss your tour
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Dear Customer,
We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations.
However, we would like to clarify that tickets must be collected at the indicated meeting point according to the instructions provided, and that access times, walking time to the entrance, and security queues are factors that must also be taken into account. These aspects do not depend on our agency, but on the organization of the site and the checks in place.
We also find it inaccurate to state that collecting the tickets at the indicated time automatically means missing the tour. The service is organized according to the scheduled timing, but delays related to access procedures and queues can affect entry, and these are outside our control.
For this reason, we believe your review does not correctly reflect the service provided and attributes to us circumstances that did not depend on our agency.
We therefore kindly ask you to reconsider and remove your review.
Kind regards,
Gyash Tours

We got there 45 minutes before the “tour” the blonde lady that didn’t even introduce herself told us to wait because we were early then by 2:50 she proceeded to take some people to the museum and told us to wait. Then by 3:05 she came and told us to go by ourselves and that if we wanted we could wait until the other people that were late to show up. And go with them. Or we could go by ourselves. She was not pleasant and was in a rush to not take care of us. Gave us instructions that were not at all accurate. When we got to the museum we were explained how to get our tour person that we paid to have but it was late our group has left. So we did it on our own. We were explained that Basilica is free that we could walk over there and enjoy it. There was no skip line in Basilica is first come first serve. We do not recommend this company. No service whatsoever. Sorry.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Dear customer,
thank you for sharing your experience, as your comments help us improve our service.
We are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience you experienced; however, on certain days, due to the very strict time slots imposed by the Vatican Museums and delays from some participants, managing the groups can become complex.
With regard to St. Peter’s Basilica, admission is free and any cost only concerns additional services: we are committed to making this information increasingly clear in our descriptions and explanations on site.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

This skip the line ticket was a life saver! Easy to get the ticket, and we waited in line for no more than 15 minutes to get in the museum. Completely worth the extra money to skip that line. We heard someone say they had been waiting for an hour - and they were no where near the entrance. We would not have had the Vatican museum experience without this skip the line ticket.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Dear customer,
thank you for your comment.
We are glad that the “skip-the-line” service helped you significantly reduce your waiting time and fully enjoy your visit to the Vatican Museums.

The meeting place is only to pick up tix…we thought it was where tour started - not explained properly! By time we got to where tour started it had left and all we got was our ticket in…not recommended!
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Dear customer,
thank you for sharing your experience and we are truly sorry for the misunderstanding.
The meeting point is used for ticket collection and to organise the entrance, but we understand that if this information is not clearly explained, it can create confusion and the risk of missing the group.
If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification.
Kind regards,
Gyash srls

The tour did not happen at all. We bought skip the line but we were put to long lines instead because someone decided for us that a tour guide is better than skip the line. Or maybe a scam? Sure enough, nobody was allowed to enter after 6pm including us. We were promised a refund, they better be.There's a lot of us on that group, I won't be surprised if legal action is taken to make sure this does not happen again.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Dear customer,
thank you for sharing your experience and we are deeply sorry that the tour did not take place as planned.
On certain days, due to closing times and decisions made by the security authorities, it may happen that after a certain hour access is no longer allowed, even for those who hold “skip-the-line” tickets.
We are currently reviewing what happened internally, particularly regarding how the “skip-the-line” service was communicated, and we confirm that the refund is processed according to the procedures of the booking platform used.
If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification.
Kind regards,
Gyash srls
Eibhlin_T, Oct 2025
Booked for 5.30 they changed it to 5 but only contacted me at 4.15. We had no skip the line even though we paid for it they did give us a tour guide but he spent his time most of his time looking for people on the tour and at the end he kept say we didn't give him back the speakers. It felt like we were childen. Very bad tour and would not recommend. The whole thing was manic and very badly organised.
You would be better off just going yourself no need for a tour you can get radio guides from the vatican and it would be cheaper and better.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Dear customer,
thank you for sharing your experience and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience you encountered, especially regarding the time change that was communicated with such short notice.
Schedule changes are only made when we realise that, due to high turnout and access times, the tour is at real risk of not taking place: 5:30 pm is among the latest possible entry times and, if the queues are too long, there is a concrete risk that some groups will not be able to enter at all. For this reason, it is sometimes necessary to bring forward tours scheduled close to closing time; we recognise that, in your case, the notification came too late and we sincerely apologise.
With regard to the “skip-the-line” service, it is important to clarify that it does not completely remove waiting times: it allows access through dedicated lanes and with pre-booked tickets, but queues and security checks are always managed directly by the Vatican and, during peak hours, they can still result in significant waiting times, even for those who have purchased a facilitated entrance.
As for the guide, staff are required to keep the group together, make sure that everyone is present and collect the devices (headsets/earphones) at the end of the visit: these are necessary organisational aspects to avoid problems, but we are sorry if the way this was handled made you feel as if you were being treated like a child. This is not the standard of care and respect that we expect from our staff.
We fully acknowledge that, in light of all this, you felt the experience did not offer the value you expected for the price paid, and your feedback will help us to further improve our group management and the clarity of the information provided at the time of booking.
If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification.
Kind regards,
Gyash srls
Shannon_M, Oct 2025
Worst tour I have ever experienced. We waited in line for the museum for 45 minutes then had to be rushed in only to find out we still didn’t have tickets and they still had to be purchased. Once we were given tickets we were told to go with another tour guide bc our group was too big but we never saw the tour guide again. No one knew what was going on or what to do next. We ended up doing the whole thing by ourselves in a rushed fashion just to get it all done before it closed because we only had an hour to make it through the whole thing. Very unhappy with the whole experience and not worth spending the money on.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Dear customer,
thank you for sharing your experience and we are truly sorry that your tour of the Vatican Museums did not meet your expectations.
Waiting 45 minutes in line, being rushed inside and then discovering that the tickets had still not been issued is understandably very frustrating; this is not the level of organisation we aim to provide.
The decision to split the group and ask you to follow another guide, without then having a clear point of reference, clearly added to the confusion. We are truly sorry that you ended up continuing the visit on your own, with very limited time before the Museums closed.
Queues, closing times and access procedures are managed directly by the Vatican Museums and, towards the end of the day, the available time can become very tight; however, this does not change the fact that our coordination and the instructions given to participants should be clearer and more effective.
Your feedback will help us review our organisational procedures and the way we communicate with groups, especially near closing time. As for any refund or assistance requests, these are handled according to the procedures of the booking platform used.
If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification.
Kind regards,
Gyash srls
Marnellie_M, Oct 2025
This tour seemed really disorganized. Our tour was for 4pm. When I arrive, I’m told the tour time was changed to 5pm “by the Vatican”. When we arrive at 5, a tour guide seems to be missing so we (everyone in the group) is left waiting. Then we are told that 3 people have not checked in yet and will be even more delayed. By this time, our rescheduled tour is now 45 minutes behind. We are rushed to the Vatican where we wait another 20ish minutes for security. There were no instructions on what to do once we were inside and tickets weren’t even purchased yet so, more waiting.
For a family of 4, this tour cost $300. However, the level of service was not worth $300. We have used other tour groups and communication was MUCH better. The company had my contact info, I should have gotten a call so we could properly re-organize our day.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Dear customer,
thank you for sharing your experience in such detail and we are truly sorry that the tour did not meet your expectations.
Schedule changes can become necessary when, due to organisational and security decisions made by the Vatican, access at the original time is at risk; however, in your case, we recognise that the communication about the new time and the subsequent delays was not handled clearly enough, and we sincerely apologise for that.
The additional waiting time caused by the lack of a guide at the scheduled time and by late-arriving participants understandably contributed to the feeling of poor organisation, as did the absence of clear instructions once inside and the further wait while tickets were being finalised.
Your feedback is very valuable and will be used to review our internal procedures, particularly regarding time changes, delay management and the information provided to guests before and immediately after entering the site.
If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification.
Kind regards,
Gyash srls

Problems with tickets availability at the time requested/purchased.
Had to wait until they figure it out and at the end provided the tickets.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Dear customer,
thank you for sharing your experience and we are sorry for the initial issues with ticket availability at your requested time.
Having to wait while the booking and tickets were being checked and sorted out understandably made the start of your visit less smooth than expected, and we apologise for that. We are nevertheless glad that, in the end, you did receive your tickets and were able to continue with your visit.
Your feedback will help us improve our preliminary checks on time slots and minimise any waiting time when guests come to collect their tickets.
If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification.
Kind regards,
Gyash srls

Be prepared for big crowds, the need to keep moving almost of the time. The art is beautiful. It is a lot of walking.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Dear customer,
thank you for your comment.
We are glad that you enjoyed the beauty of the art, even though the crowds and the amount of walking made the visit quite demanding.

Thomas_N, Oct 2025
This was advertised as a Skip The Line entrance. It was not!!!
We booked for a 3pm entrance… we received a last minute email saying it was changed to 5pm. We didn’t gain entry into the museum until almost 6pm. The Vatican Museums close at 8pm…
We were rushed thru the whole museum!
I did ask/received a credit. But it ruined the experience!!!
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Dear customer,
we are truly sorry for the last-minute change of time and for the fact that, despite the new 5 pm slot, you only gained entry to the Museums around 6 pm, leaving you with very little time before the 8 pm closing.
The “skip-the-line” service allows access with pre-booked tickets and dedicated entrances, but it cannot completely avoid queues and security checks, which are managed directly by the Vatican authorities, especially during peak hours; we fully understand, however, that having to rush through the galleries meant that the value of the visit was greatly reduced.
We acknowledge that you received a credit, but we also understand that this does not undo the disappointment you felt. Your feedback will help us pay even closer attention to how late-afternoon time slots are managed, so as to minimise the risk of overly compressed visits.
If you wish, you can contact us with your date and booking number for any further checks or clarification.
Kind regards,
Gyash srls

NEVER BUY FROM THIS SITE AND FROM THEM, they are lying and defraud, you pay horrible money and they shift your time, and are late, and you don’t even get to have full experience and had to wait even when you have skip the line, what they are doing is steeling not helping… never trust them
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Dear customer,
thank you for sharing your point of view and we are truly sorry that your experience was so negative that you felt the need to describe it in these terms.
Time changes and delays can unfortunately occur due to organisational and security constraints imposed by the Vatican authorities, and we understand that this may give the impression of not being able to enjoy the full experience. Likewise, the “skip-the-line” service provides pre-booked tickets and access through dedicated lanes, but it cannot completely remove waiting times or security checks.
We would also like to stress that we operate through official booking platforms and that any request for refunds or assistance is handled according to their procedures. We therefore invite you to contact the platform you booked with, or reach out to us directly with your date and booking number so that we can look into your specific case in detail.
If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification.
Kind regards,
Gyash srls
Jobelle_U, Oct 2025
We booked a skip-the-line ticket because we wanted to explore the museum and chapel at our own pace. However, a day before our visit, we were informed that our schedule was moved from 4 PM to 5 PM — which we accepted without issue.
On the day itself, we waited at the meeting point for about 30 minutes before starting the walk to the Vatican Museum. Please note that their office is quite far from the actual museum entrance, so we had to walk and wait again for around 10–15 minutes under the scorching sun before being allowed to enter.
We were grouped with participants who had a guided tour, which was confusing since we booked a self-guided option and thought we would proceed separately. This was my first time booking through Viator, and I regret not following my gut to use Get Your Guide, as my previous experiences with them have been much smoother.
To add to the disappointment, the price we paid for the 4 PM activity was even higher than expected, making the experience feel less worthwhile overall.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Dear customer,
we are sorry for the difficulties you encountered, from the schedule change to the way access was managed on the day of your visit.
The shift from 4 pm to 5 pm can be due to organisational and availability constraints related to the Vatican Museums and their time slots, but we understand that this had an impact on how you planned your day. Likewise, the waiting time at the meeting point, the walk to the entrance and the additional wait under the sun are not the relaxed experience you were hoping for, and we apologise for that.
In your case, you booked a self-guided “skip-the-line” option: for logistical reasons, guests may sometimes be escorted together with guided-tour participants up to the entrance, but your comment about how confusing this felt is very useful and will help us improve how we explain what to expect before entering.
As for the price, rates and availability can change over time depending on date, time slot and the conditions applied by the booking platform, but we do appreciate that the amount you paid felt high compared to the value you perceived from the experience.
If you wish, you can contact us with your date and booking number so that we can review your case in more detail and provide any further clarification.
Kind regards,
Gyash srls

Booked this because the date and time slot that fits our schedule was sold out in the official website and they offered the tickets we needed with an acceptable mark-up from direct booking price (others were very much higher). Tickets were legit and we are able to skip the line and go through the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel as planned. Shop location (meet up point) is easy to find and near Vatican itself.

It’s an amazing, overwhelming collection of beautiful artworks. Best to go earlier in the day & take your time as there are huge crowds with you wherever you go.
The woman at the meeting point was somewhat brusque & whilst I paid for an audio guide, I found it an unnecessary distraction because you need to match the number of the price you are viewing (not all pieces) to receive appropriate information & there is so much to see.
armscooter2, Jun 2025
We were greeted warmly at check-in and then taken outside to meet Dallas (I think I heard him right, but a young man) We had smaller kids with us and even in heavy crowds, he never slowed down or checked to see if we were all there. Why you ask? Because there were two young men on the tour and all they could do was talk about getting together and going looking for some beautiful girls. At one point, he even approached a young lady working outside a restaurant and asked for her name.
Zarak_R, May 2025
Lots of walking as expected. Wear comfortable shoes. The line to get into the entrance takes a bit of time.
Allison_C, May 2025
Just buy your ticket from the Vatican website. This tour gives you nothing additional. Maybe it’s useful if you Vatican is sold out, but otherwise a scam
Elaine_R, Apr 2025
This was exactly what we wanted, fast entry and we could go round at our own pace, they were very informative before we left the ticket collection point.
AlanK, Mar 2025
Scam of a price. You can book direct with the vatican and get the skip the line ticket for €25. This tour I was charge 75 per.person and you dont even get a tour guide. I will be making a complaint to viator over this.
