Enjoyed all the Gallery’s artwork. Guide was okay, but somewhat disappointing as narrative and insight shared was inconsistent and disjointed at times; appeared as if she was trying to remember her script, but was missing parts. The artwork is impressive.
Extremely disappointing experience—not simply because of a scheduling miscommunication, but because of how rudely and unprofessionally the tour operator handled it.
I booked this tour through Viator a month in advance. Two days before the tour, the operator apparently sent a WhatsApp moving the tour two hours earlier. I replied “thanks,” but while traveling and receiving messages from multiple Viator operators, I clearly confused the message with another booking. I acknowledge that.
However, Viator still showed the ORIGINAL time everywhere—in the app, on our ticket, and even in an email Viator sent me the day of the tour. There was no email notifying me of the change. I had also messaged the operator through Viator earlier that day with a question and received no response whatsoever.
After an eight-hour travel day, while checking into our hotel, I suddenly received two back-to-back calls telling me I was supposed to be at the tour in 30 minutes. The operator was rude and accusatory, followed up with rude messages, and showed absolutely no empathy or acknowledgment of the conflicting information we had received through Viator.
Most importantly, we could not have made the newly scheduled time anyway. We booked the tour based on the time advertised and confirmed when we purchased it.
I understand their position that they sent a WhatsApp and I responded. What I do NOT understand is changing a tour by two hours while leaving the original time on the booking platform, ticket and same-day confirmation—and then berating the customer when the inevitable confusion occurs.
A simple, “We understand what happened; let’s see if we can move you to another tour,” would have gone a long way. Instead, we received rudeness, blame and then were completely ignored.
Miscommunications happen. Good customer service is about how you handle them. Based on how this company handled ours, I cannot recommend them.
Viator refused to elevate the issue, I had to dial back three time in 90 minutes. The STILL HAVE MY MONEY
To be clear, these people took my money and our family, including two boys, missed this experience.

Due to strict ticket availability and entry limits imposed by the venue, we were required to reschedule the tour departure. Fully aware of the potential inconvenience, we contacted you directly via WhatsApp, a message which you received and replied to, explicitly confirming the new time. All updated details were provided well in advance.
On the day of the tour, as you had not arrived at the scheduled time, we made numerous attempts to call you to check on your status. When we finally got through, rather than working together to resolve the matter, we were met with an aggressive tone and messages (including demanding to be admitted regardless). We clearly explained that because this was our only tour of the day with non-refundable, fixed-time tickets, there was technically no way to accommodate late entry once the tour had begun.
Unfortunately, when a guest fails to show up at the agreed and confirmed time, tickets are forfeited, and a refund cannot be issued. While we understand this was a disappointing experience for your family, our team communicated the limitations clearly and professionally under difficult circumstances.

Tour was rescheduled from 11 am to 11:45 am, then the headset guy showed up late, delaying us further. We had booked a train to Naples based on the scheduled 11 am start time. With the delays, we had to go faster than the tour in order to see everything. So we essentially paid for a tour in order to get a ticket, which was disappointing. Art was amazing, thankfully.

I had really wanted to see the Borghese collection but had read about the nightmare of trying to get tickets. This tour was the best of both worlds/ we got tickets to the gallery and an amazing guide who was so informative about the art we were seeing. I highly recommend it.

Very disappointing experience. We arrived 15 minutes early and waited at the exact meeting point as instructed, but Silvia never showed up. We called the activity provider multiple times using the number provided, and nobody answered.
As tourists with limited time in Rome, this wasted a valuable part of our day. No communication, no explanation, and no customer support. Would not recommend.

No stars! The tour guide and tickets never showed up! Tried to contact and for 30 min past time never responded at all! Spoke with all other tour guides at site and the museum itself and no one even knows this guide, Did not get to see gallery at all very disappointed. I contacted Viator for refund but still out 60€ for taxi fares and wasted half a day of vacation with only disappointment. Tried to purchase tickets at gallery myself but sold out. I hope Viator removes this company because it is a scam! I book through Viator to avoid scams and make travel easier in places where I don’t know how. Save yourself some trouble and book with a different company or you might not be able to go like us! Now I won’t be able to see the museum and am very disappointed!

We walked through the Borghese gardens before our tour of the Gallery. Highly recommend, it was beautiful, like the Central Park of Roma. Our tour guide inside Galleria Borghese was phenomenal, she had degrees - including a PhD - in archeologies and art histories, and an obvious love for the pieces in the gallery. She was very knowledgeable about the various artists and their histories, and pointed out the most exquisite details in the sculptures and paintings, even the former Palace itself. Highly recommend a visit if you have an afternoon in Rome.

This tour was led by Gabriel (not Sylvia as was advertised) but Gabriel was a font of knowledge about art and art history. He’s got a passion for the art ww saw and he engaged the group with his knowledge. The Borghese Museum itself is a work of art; every surface: ceilings, walls and floors are beautiful. And it’s a reasonable size to get through in a few hours. It’s one visitors to Rome should not miss!
We could not attend the Villa Borghese tour because the guide from 'Rome with Silvia' did not show up, and has not been reachable by phone until today, with no response to email contact either.
That was very disappointing, as we could not book a replacement on Sunday - today, Monday, the Villa is closed - therefore, no recommendation!
