We only booked tickets with them and paid €100 rather than €39 for 2 people. Overpriced reseller/tour operator charging a 156% markup just to print the tickets.
They buy large batches of tickets in advance, so none are left on the official website and visitors are forced to purchase through them if they still want to go — in our case, to the Borghese Gallery (but also the Museum is to blame as they should not allow).
The tour operator told us to download the app with descriptions of the artworks, but the numbering was incorrect, many pieces weren’t included, and we ended up using the official QR codes inside the museum instead.

Our guide, Dimitri, was very knowledgeable about the art history of the sculptures, paintings and decoration of the gallery itself. His appreciation of the works was passionate and added to the experience. A first class tour!

Our guide was superb her knowledge was exceptional and she clearly had a passion for art. There was plenty of room for everyone to walk around and photos were aloud everywhere. This is a must on a visit to Rome we have been twice and would go again way better than the Vatican City.

The gallery is definitely worth visiting because of its collections. Guests should reserve their tickets early if they plan to visit.

We went at 5pm and didn’t quite get 2 hours. Guide was very knowledgeable but a little repetitive. We did not get to see a lot of the paintings, but did see the wonderful statues. I think we would have enjoyed it more if guide had spent a few minutes LESS in some of the rooms. We were rushed out of the last room at 6:50 closing time, so that was a little disappointing.

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the subject and was able to keep the group together and moving along appropriately. It was our first experience with a group of this size so I was surprised that there were no opportunities to ask questions. It was also the last tour of the day so he was definitely under some pressure to keep moving in order to cover as much of the vast amount of art as he could. Generally he was well prepared and did a great job.

What a beautiful collection. Absolutely amazing sculptures and fantastic tour guide, Victoria. She was so informative.

It was a great afternoon learning the history and beauty of the borgesssa collection. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and engaging

When we found our tour it was great with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide - but the joining instructions were so poor and inaccurate that we worried that either we had missed the tour or had been scammed. The ticket dispenser was not where we were told and not wearing the stated clothing. Ticket distribution was chaotic. After that we were in safe hands thanks to our guide, whose name I missed in the initial chaos.

Very good guide, Dimitri, and fluid organisation. The guide and his funny explanations were a genuine plus for this museum.

This is one of Rome’s must-sees. The official Borghese webpage is crap and I suspect private tour companies buy up most of the tickets and resell them at a big markup. Our tickets via Viator were expensive (350 dollars for 3) but our tour guide was excellent — funny and super informative.

Beautiful gallery to visit, plus if you have time and the weather is warm, plan some time for the gardens. If you booked a guided tour, it will be 2 hours. Our guide was very knowledgeable. No purses in the gallery, only cameras and small wallets, so be prepared to store all your stuff.

The tour guide was excellent, although given the vast amount of extraordinary works of art and history in the gallery, 2 hours can never be enough to adequately take everything in.
Please show up 15 min earlier in order to find your guide, and make sure the headphones provided by the tour guide work. Also please be mindful and respectful of other visitors and the museum.
I’d say this is a great value for your money, despite being more expensive than the tickets on the official website. The amount of time saved by avoiding the queues and the interactive narrative provided by the guide are definitely worth the cost.
Rome is a fascinating city, hands down the most beautiful city of Europe. Saving time for further exploration of the city is worth the cost.

Very nice guide. Interesting interpretation. But too complicated and chaotic organization. Like on every tourist destination in Rome, where you have to buy tickets in advance

Absolutely fabulous experience. Guide very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Not at all high brow. Highly recommend

Dimitri was a wonderful tour guide. Very knowledgeable and he spoke passionately about the art. I’m sure he’s given hundreds of tours but he did an amazing job and being enthusiastic about the art. He was able to answer questions and point out details we would never have noticed. We really appreciated him

Agnes the tour guide made a great tour extraordinary. She was fantastic and made the 2 hours fly by. Our favorite tour of the week.

The Borghese villa is stunning, the collection is truly wonderful.
I visited last year and had to return again at the weekend , it was that good .
I wouldn’t book through this company as the audio guide was a let down , just a bit about the Borghese family and the villa itself.
Book direct and get better audio guide

Great experience. Urs was phenomenal and was great at explaining all we were seeing. Very pleasant time.
Richard_S, Feb 2026
The guide was excellent. He was friendly and quite knowledgeable. The museum is quite beautiful. The tour operator administering the event is the reason why I only gave 4 stars. The check-in process was chaotic and didn’t match the instructions. We were looking for a uniform of blue and white. We booked with Diamond tours but another operator fulfilled it. We almost missed our tour due to this confusion. Calling the operator resulted in dropped calls and busy signals until I got through to customer service.

Dimitri was a great Tour guide for the 11am - 1pm slot. This tour is a great option if the regular gallery tickets are booked out for the day
RICHARD_M, Feb 2026
Fabulous art with an excellent guide. Skip the line to maximize your time spent in the venue. The guide focused on the best works of art and had a great sense of humor.
weiglgail, Feb 2026
A first rate collection of works of art in a fabulous setting. Lovely staff and convenient facilities.
Nicole_S, Nov 2025
Very knowledgeable and entertaining guide made the museum come to life. Not to be missed Gallery exploring the glories of the baroque period.
David_F, Oct 2025
We were blessed to have Agnes as our guide. She was very knowledgeable about the stories behind the artwork but even more so she spoke as an art teacher or critic would which brought so much more to the experience. It was especially noted at the Caravaggio room. She has an amazing talent in bringing the works to life by revealing or commenting on the artist's motivation behind their works. We highly recommend Agnes, and wanted to let her know we sincerely appreciated her exceptional presentation. Best regards, David and Felicia Fish

Well worth the cost! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and her English was solid. I would definitely recommend this experience! The only piece of constructive feedback I would give is that we were told to meet our guide (who would be in a blue/white uniform) at the bottom of the stairs on the righthand side of the entry. That did not end up being the case. None of that detail proved to be true, so we had a little trouble finding our guide. However, she did call me and therefore we did connect easily, in the end!

Mostly about Boroque and Bernini. Unique in that the gallery is largely unchanged since the 1750's when it was completed. A mix of ancient (2000+ yo) and contemporary (400-500 yo) sculptures and paintings. Themed rooms that tell stories and well documented room by room with or without a guided tour.
Vickie_L, Jul 2025
Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about his work. He made the most out of a single piece in every room. Great tour for adults who enjoy listening and learning about art history. Not for children.
