Missed the tour due to complicated voucher to ticket exchange process

First I’d like to share that we are extremely seasoned travelers who prepare for tours and follow instructions carefully. I’m sorry to share that the ‘fine print’ about exchanging the voucher for the entry ticket caused us to miss the tour. There should be a warning that this process can take 2- hours if it’s crowded! We waited in one line for 1-hour to be told to walk a mile to exchange our vouchers for tickets. It poured down rain and we did the exchange, walked back, stood in line for one more hour to be told we should be in another line. All in, we got into Palatine hill 2.5 hours after our original tour started. Pay attention to the fine print and exchange vouchers the day before if you don’t want to miss the tour

Fiasco!

Never got to your. Due to crowds, road and sidewalk closures, misinformation re security reroutes onsite. Never could access any accessible entrance or exit from areas we walked with misdirection. Would have taken cab from Collesium but security controlling area sent us wrong direction. Stranded in heat and ancient roadway near Arch 2 hours. Our phone GBS also sent us blocked access info. At 2:50 came down, pushed through crowds and road to gain access to buses, etc. Talking to Rome Viator texts was fruitless. Told to access Massachusetts MA office!

Paid for tickets online but after 2 hours of walking around we could not find the ticket office to collect the tickets. I did not realise that I would have to collect the tickets from an office. The staff at Palatine Hill would not let us in eventhough I had evidence of purchase of tickets.

An amazing day filled with history and great people

The entire team (Driver, tour leader, and on-site guide) was just amazing. The trip was well organized, everyone was friendly, we never felt rushed. Mauro (I'm probably not spelling this correctly), our leader, was super friendly. We were given plenty of free time to explore and have lunch in Positano. Beautiful! The drive (and stop for a photo op) along the Amalfi Coast was beautiful, and the crown jewel of the day - Pompeii was simply amazing. The archeologist/guide was incredibly knowledgeable, gave us a lot of information about the site and was able to answer all of our questions. The drive is long, but they do stop half way on the way, and then again half way when returning so that you can use the rest room or grab a drink and/or snack. I would definitely recommend this tour, no regrets.

The forum is remarkable, of course. A must see. Hard to locate meeting point and it was VERY hot in the middle of an historic heat wave, so walking to find that and then walking back took a lot out of me.

The history!! Awe inspiring to walk these ancient roads. Go early, wear good walking shoes, bring a water bottle (you can refill in multiple spots). BE PREPARED TO WALK!! We used a Rick Steves audio tour. We entered at the opposite direction of that tour, but you can choose which chapter you want to listen to. Make sure to go to the viewpoints on top of the Palatine hill. This is NOT suitable for little kids. We saw a few crying as they were forced along; an understandable mistake to bring them but pitiful to see. You will be hard pressed to see every little thing, even in an entire day, so don’t disappoint yourself with unreasonable expectations.

L'organizzazione è stata impeccabile fin dall'inizio: ci siamo incontrati all'orario stabilito in Piazza d'Aracoeli 16, dove lo staff di Touristation ci ha accolto con grande gentilezza. Ci è stato fornito tutto il materiale necessario, in primis un’audioguida con mappa interattiva che ci ha guidato lungo il percorso. La proiezione del video multimediale ci ha permesso di immergerci nella Roma antica, ricostruita in modo dettagliato e affascinante. Dopo siamo stati accompagnati al Foro, dove la vista dal Palatino ci ha lasciato senza parole. Un'esperienza che consiglio vivamente a chi vuole scoprire Roma in modo coinvolgente e ben strutturato!

Magnifica esperienza!

È stata una bella esperienza! Abbiamo prenotato per le ore 12:45, orario del punto di incontro in Piazza d'Aracoeli 16 dove c'è l'ufficio Touristation. Ci hanno accolto in modo gentile e sorridente, ci è stato spiegato l'itinerario e abbiamo scaricato l'audioguida che dispone anche di una mappa interattiva. Alle ore 13:00 abbiamo avuto l'opportunità di guardare il video multimediale nella sala cinema che si trova all'interno dell'ufficio. Il video mostra la ricostruzione della città di Roma così com'era nell'antichità. Al termine del video siamo stati accompagnati all'ingresso del Foro. Visita bellissima, la vista dal Palatino è magnifica!

Zdecydowanie polecam. Biuro w centrum miasta, bardzo łatwo znaleźć. Dziewczyny z Touristation są super pomocne. Wszystko nam wytłumaczyły dzięki czemu łatwiej było nam się odnaleźć w czasie zwiedzania. W cenę włączony był również krótki film o historii Rzymu, bardzo ciekawy, spacer z przewodnikiem po starym mieście i audioprzewodnik.
