Andrea was wonderful! The car was very comfortable as we settled in for the drive to Pompeii. He made sure we were always comfortable and offered to stop for food or toilets whenever we needed. He arranged a private guide for us enroute as I’d forgotten to do it in advance. After Pompeii, he took us to Positano, stopping at several lovely viewpoints and telling us about the area. In Positano, he gave us good advice about where to head to find food and drinks since it was a holiday and little would be open. Sure enough, where he directed us had a nice pizza place open right on the beach. He was always kind and with a big smile. This was a wonderful day!

This was a fantastic way to have a day trip from Rome to Pompeii and Positano. Our driver/guide, Andrea, was fantastic!! He was very knowledgeable, sweet, helpful, and attentive. I would highly recommend him and this tour!

It was the highlight of our trip. Andrea was a true gentleman who took very good care of all our needs and was very informative. The private tour of Pompeii was was worth every penny and it was lovely to sample the Amalfi coast and have lunch in Positano. Highly recommend this tour, it was excellent.

I had never been to the Amalfi coast, so I decided to try this day trip instead of just going to Pompeii as originally planned. Andrea was an excellent driver and took us to a few points of interest along the way. The van was comfortable for our large group of 7. I would recommend paying the modest extra fee for the private tour in Pompeii. Our guide was very good... if I were just visiting Pompeii, I would have spent more time than the two hours or so that we had, but we got to see a fair amount. The drive from there to Positano had spectacular views, and we had time for a nice lunch and a bit of strolling and shopping there. Be aware going in that this trip naturally requires a lot of driving time to reach both locations from Rome in a day... if you are like us you will snooze through the three hour return drive at the end of the day. A very nice day overall.

Pros: This was a lovely getaway from Rome. The Pompeii archeological site is a marvel. Our guide was native to Naples and her passion for the history of the city of Pompeii was a beauty to behold. We stopped a Limoncello factory which was quite a treat. The Amalfi coast is to die for and that little bit of time spent in Positano feel like being in a movie. The driver Andrea was a delight, patient and pleasant at al times. Cons are discussed below. This trip was incredible minus the Mafia issue which almost ruined the day for me. Without this incident I would have rated this tour 10 stars.
Cons: There is long distance travel and traffic. There is Mafia activity in Naples. We requested a last minute upgrade to a Pompeii private tour which required that we meet and pay the guide outside of Pompeii. Our guide was harassed by a street female who was standing over her shoulder and even asked us for twice as much as we were asked to pay. Our guide was also harassed during our tour in Pompeii. Even though they don't mess directly with you, it ruins the fun and causes a great deal of stress. Do not pay for upgrades last minute. Ask all options in advance and coordinate in advance through your service provider. Lastly, Positano is a hike if you are not in good health and fitness you may not enjoy it.

My wife and I had an great experience visiting Pompeii and Postiano. Mr. Andrea you were excellent sir. I don't think anyone else could have done it better. (Thank you). The next time me and my wife visit. We will be sure to spend more time in Postiano, and the Amalfi coast. It was truly memorable.

Our driver Andrea was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, friendly and went out of his way to make sure this was a special experience for our family. Wonderful way to tour the catacombs, Ancient Rome including the Appian way and learn about the rich history. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about what he shared throughout the tour.
Federico was our tour guide and I highly recommend this tour! We had a group from age 9 to 60 and it was great for all ages. Very engaging and a great way to tour.

This was an excellent tour. It gave us the opportunity to see the coast as well as visit Pompeii and learn about the history behind it. Our driver, Andrea was excellent! He made sure we were able to see and experience both cities to its fullest extent.

Andrea is amazing. He is an excellent driver who took us to Pompeii and expertly navigated the narrow and winding streets to Positano. (Not for the faint of heart!) We thoroughly enjoyed our day.

I will say that the driver was very competent and courteous. That said, most of the excursion was spent in the car. We started this excursion at 6:50 in the morning and did not get back until nearly 830 PM. Of the 13 1/2 hours, approximately two hours were spent at Pompeii and under two hours at Positano.
The tour of Pompeii was marketed as an expedited private 2 hr tour with 12-15 people. Ours had > 30, lasted 1 3/4 hrs & didn’t even include 3 of the main sites— brothel, faun, Vetti houses. Ten to 15 minutes at the beginning were spent while the guide got free tickets for kids under 17 in the group.
I would not advise anyone to take this tour. It was very expensive and the description did not match the actual experience. Extremely disappointing— I had been so looking forward to seeing Pompeii.

I just want to say that the tour you did had only one problem that instead of 18 the group was 10 more people, however you did it, 2 hours tour in Pompeii. You were asked if you wanted to do a private tour with the guide but you did not accept by paying extra. It was not a mistake of this company but of the one in Pompeii that creates the groups, usually they are 18 people, an inconvenience can happen, usually they are precise. If there are kids you have to wait a little this is how Pompei works. It seems strange to me that you did not appreciate the tour in Pompeii just because there were 10 more people. Remember that you did a tour with only you and your husband in a comfortable car and not with a van as you thought with other people. I remember that you visited the limoncello factory which was not included in the tour it was an extra stop to make the day nicer. You should reread the description of the tour , 2 hours in Pompeii and 2 hours in Positano, and so it was. If you came back a little late at 8.30pm at your hotel and not at 7.30pm because there was a lot of traffic if you remember correctly. It does not depend on us but on the traffic situation. You gave me 2 stars for reasons that in my opinion are useless, however it is ok because all my customers have given me 5 stars with exceptional reviews, you are the only one with 2 stars and a negative review. Remember before saying negative things about the tour also list the positive ones that you have not listed.

This was one of the highlights of our trip! The driver was very friendly and made sure we had everything needed. Made stops along the way for breaks, and was very clear with instructions when we needed to separate for visiting Pompeii and Positano. His smooth driving made a big difference on the curves of the Almafi coast.

Our drivers, Andre & Francesca were excellent. They knew where to stop for views and photos. Had great contact with our guide at Pompeii (she even brought us directly back to them). Gave us a great restaurant in Positano and made reservations for us. The car was comfortable and clean. They were always checking to see if we needed to make a pit stop. We made and excellent choice and would highly recomend them.

Andrea was wonderful, accommodating, kind and knowledgeable. It was a lot of driving for him and his assistant, Francesca but they never complained. We had a short time to see so many things and we are so happy we took this tour. We also had a wonderful tour guide for Pompei who was great with our kids and very knowledgeable.
Andrea also recommended a wonderful restaurant for lunch which we all enjoyed. We would highly recommend this tour. We never felt rushed, it was a great day.

Pompeii was an amazing trip. The driver Anrea the driver was amazing and very helpful. After Pompeii Anrea took us to Positano and dropped us off at his friend's restaurant right on the beach. Positano was a beautiful fishing village and the views from the cliffs were breathtaking.
