Our guide, Keith, was informative, friendly, and fun. The golf cart tour was a great introduction to the city and helped us get a feel for the area. There's so much to see and this excursion allowed us to cross several sites off our 'must see list'. The gelato break near the Trevi fountain was tasty and memorable. Would recommend this activity to other travelers.

Not only was Keith insanely knowledgeable about the city and Italy as a whole, but he made us feel so safe traveling as a group of early 20s girls!! He spoke so well and made sure we all felt included and when we went back through those streets later we knew the history! Best way to see all the high points of Rome.

A good overview tour

I went on this tour with my mom on our first full day in Rome. My experience was 3 stars and Mom's was 5 stars, so 4 stars it is! The group was easy to find at the meet up point. There were 2 carts in our group, each holding 7 passengers. In our group were 2 different families of 6 and mom and me. So... mom and I were separated and each of us sat next to the driver. Not a problem for us... just including it as an FYI that this might happen. The carts stayed together the whole time, so it really wasn't an issue at all. The kids in both families were bored. I was in the 2nd cart and watched as the 2 teens sitting in the back of the 1st cart both fell asleep - thank goodness they were strapped in! So I'm thinking this tour is probably better for adults. Fabio was the driver of the 1st cart and our tour guide. We were all given listening devices so we could hear the info Fabio was saying. Unfortunately, I had a really hard time understanding what Fabio was saying due to the distorted sound quality of the device. My mom was sitting right next to Fabio and had no problem understanding him and said the info he gave was fascinating. As a student of history, I'm super bummed I missed most of what he was saying. The driver of my cart (sorry, I don't recall his name) was a fantastic driver and very nice. I felt safe the whole time. Initially we stopped at a couple of places and sat in the carts as Fabio gave us some information, complete with visuals on a tablet. I was afraid this was what the whole tour would be, but fear not, we got out for pictures at Circus Maximus, Spanish Steps, the "wedding cake", and a few other places. I was able to snap a quick pic of the mouth of truth, which I wanted to see since I was a little girl and watched Roman Holiday. The tour ended with gelato near the Trevi Fountain. Overall, a really good experience. I would have rated 5 stars if the listening device wasn't so distorted. I would recommend and would take this tour again if I ever make it back to Rome... I'd just insist on sitting in the cart with the guide so I can hear everything.

The whole family enjoyed this tour after a day of travel. It was relaxing, exciting, and our guide Micheal was outstanding. He kept the kids engaged and didn’t bore them. The gelato next to the Trevi was a memorable moment.

Santos was great in providing historical facts throughout the tour. He took us to the highest point to take amazing photos and enjoy the views! It would have been difficult to access that spot walking or driving. The scenic route deep into Rome streets was a nice touch.

Wonderful golf cart tour to see the main sites of Rome and get a sense of the city. Highly recommend and also doing this upon arrival so that you can get a feel for the city. The Gelato was great as well!

Dennis was a fantastic guide! He was so knowledgeable and fun to be around. He was very accommodating to my mother in allowing us to view the different sites at a slower pace and made sure we got the perfect photos at each location. We were also super lucky in getting to Avertine keyhole very early and got to see the door wide open - with no line! The golf cart is definitely the way to get around fast AND see all the wonderful sites Rome has to offer.

Tour Operator Never Showed

I don't think I have ever left a 1 star review before. But, the only thing to review on is that the tour didn't happen. The guide/golf-cart never showed. We arrived at the location that was given 15 minutes prior and stayed 15 minutes after and no one from this tour company showed up. We saw other golf-cart tours in the area-but after asking realized it was not ours. I reached out to the tour company through the Viator app while we were waiting, but did not hear back. Later that evening, I saw a message through What's App that the start time was delayed by 20 minutes and to arrive at 6pm. However, since the original departure time was 6pm, we were already there and still no one arrived. I responded to this message explaining the situation, but didn't get a response to that either. Fortunately, my credit card company refunded this purchase.

Keith (driver) & Brian (guide) were wonderful - knowledgeable, friendly and efficient! This was a great way to see the main attractions in Rome after a day of travel and the golf cart was very nice. Definitely recommend! Gelato is a nice touch!
