Our entire family loved this gnocchi-making class in Rome with our friendly instructor, Luca, who made it fun. The gnocchi was delicious and we fully enjoyed eating it after the class in the beautiful Piazza Navona. My teen girls and I will be making gnocchi at home.

Simone gave us instruction on how to make gnocchi. My girls and I have a making gnocchi for years without much success. I believe now we have all the secrets we need. This was a fun instructional class!

Expensive for the class

Class only lasted about an hour. People were friendly. An expensive plate of gnocchi for $80. Wouldn’t recommend for the price

Anna was very nice but we were disappointed. It was shorter than promissed (1 hour) . We made the gnocchi itself but not the pesto or the tomato sauce and even did not see how you make it in the kitchen. Sorry but we expected more...we did not get the recepie via mail as we were told.

What a fun experience! Chef Mirko was wonderful. He shared his experience of making gnocchi with his grandmother & was very patient, personable, & helpful. My son and I really enjoyed the experience. It was very organized & a small group which made it feel special. After we made our own serving of gnocchi, we got to choose tomato or pesto sauce and were taken to a table outside to dine with our classmates. It was lovely!

Not your average Rome cooking class.

There are a lot of cooking classes in Rome, mostly pasta and tiramisu... but this gnocci-making class is: out of the ordinary, in an amazing location, in a fantastic restaurant, includes drinks, and is run by a fantastic chef. The staff were friendly, the "secret tips" to perfect gnocchi were genius (we have attempted gnocchi before, but this course pointed out all the little mistakes we had made), and the dishes we created were actually delicious! The course will only improve if they can provide a dedicated kitchen, so you can cook the gnocchi yourself (our chef had to cook it in the commercial kitchen of the actual restaurant for us), as is their plan. The course certificate was cute.

We had a great experience with Chef Daniel. We booked this class last minute and were lucky to be the only two in the class. Chef Daniel was a lot of fun and answered all of our cooking questions. Our gnocchi came out delicious and we are ready to make it at home on our own!

Piazza Navona is gorgeous, the restaurant very typical and Bea was awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Made us feel welcome and comfortable, the course was well taught making it easy and our dishes, delicious!

We had a great time! Bea was so helpful and patient and we learned a lot. Amazingly, the gnocchi we made was quite good. A fun change of pace from typical tourist activities.

Maybe go for a cooking class elsewhere

The cooking class was educational for sure, but not quite what I was expecting. We learned to make the Gnocci itself, but I thought we were going to be taken to the kitchen to learn how to cook it properly and create the sauce. Instead, we were sent to a table to wait for our food to be served. We were given the option to request either Pomodoro or Pesto sauce. Everyone in the group put in their choices, but the restaurant managed to use the wrong sauce for several of the group members. Additionally, the service was extremely slow during the eating portion. The guy working with us directly was great, but everything else not so much.

Thank you for your feedback. We highlight in our cooking class description that neither the cooking nor the pasta making are included in this workshop. For the restaurant, we apologize! Unfortunately on Sunday, it gets too busy at lunchtime. To avoid future issues, we closed our gnocchi classes on Sundays for the future.

Not worth it

Was fun making the gnocchi, but service was far too slow. Might have taken us close to an hour to make the gnocchi, then we sat at the table for an hour before it came out. When the food eventually came out, they messed up our orders. We had to indicate which sauces we wanted with our gnocchi during the class and nearly every order was wrong. I think they threw away what we made

Gnocchi making like the Romans!

We had the most amazing time with Anna. We learnt a whole heap of hints and tips to successfully make gnocchi at home, so not just a great experience in Rome- knowledge so we can recreate that memory at home. We all got in there and prepared our own meal as well as learnt techniques. It was not only a relaxing way to spend time, it was wonderful also at the end to sit down and enjoy a meal we prepared. We felt like family in a cousins kitchen! Anna thank you!

We had a great time at this Gnocchi cooking class! We went from potato to finished pasta and then got to pick a sauce (the pesto was delicious!) and had it prepared for us and it even included wine and lemoncello to end the great meal. There were only 4 of us in the class so it was very personalized and our "teacher" was great! She made it fun and informative. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone who wants a fun and easy pasta making experience. I will even try it at home!
