We can’t say enough wonderful things about Peter. We felt like we were getting a private tour by an Italian History Professor! He was so knowledgeable and very kind. We were able to see much more than we anticipated. I will HIGHLY recommend him to anyone I know traveling to Rome.

Our driver and guide Peter provided an amazing tour of Rome highlights so that we know exactly where to focus our limited hours on our next visit. Peter was born and raised in Rome so his perspective was culturally and historically rich—we thoroughly enjoyed our day and would not hesitate to travel with Peter again. Thank you for a seamless and enriching experience!

Great driver/ great stops/ so worth going private, instead of a bus. Be prepared for crowds in popular places.

Probably one of the best tours we have ever been on. Alex Paolini was our guide and he was phenomenal. He confirmed the night before, showed up early the day of and had a sign with our name which made it a breeze as we walked off the cruise ship. He was full of knowledge and accommodating throughout the entire trip. He took us to everywhere we wanted to go and also went out of his way to make sure we had tickets to the Trevi Fountain. Not only did he suggest a great place for lunch but he also made sure we had reservations. Stress free day in Rome (I cannot imagine doing it any other way), I would highly recommend this tour!

Perfect day in Rome. Our driver Paolo was fun, friendly, informative, and professional. We gave him our priorities of where to visit, and he managed it flawlessly. Kept the pace one that was enjoyable and didn’t feel rushed. Even threw in some hidden gems that were off the tourist maps. Couldn’t have asked for a better taste of Rome.

We had a very good day visiting Rome from the cruise port of Cividavecchia. The driver Paolo was waiting off the cruise gangway when we walked out, following our names on the sign he held. No need for shuttle bus. We started the day being chauffeured around in a large Mercedes minivan with all the expected comforts. The AC was in full blast to counter the early morning heat in late August weather. Paolo explained all interesting local and historical tidbits when we’re on the way to Rome. Small van tour is the best way to visit Rome in a day. We didn’t have to walk too far at all. Paolo literally dropped us off right in front of the places we wanted to visit, and we were on our own way. We summoned him back with a text and he’s ready at the rendezvous point to pick us up to the next destinations. I’ve heard horror stories from others that they had to walk 30-40 minutes to a destination when taking a trip on large full-size bus, as large bus has to use designated parking spaces far from any destinations, 30-40 minutes walk one-way, not to mention the heat of the summer. Paolo took us to 9 places around Rome, which obviously we cannot do it ourselves without the intimate local knowledge to get around. The cost of a private tour is more than a shared large tour, but it was so worth it considering all the walking one has to do in a large shared tour. For us, it was a very well-spent trip. We would not hesitate to do it again. Not sure if you can ask for a particular driver, but Paolo is the one to get if possible. At the end of the day, Paolo dropped us off a few steps from the gangway, and we’re back to the cruise ship before 4:30PM, in time to hit the buffet for some afternoon snacks.

Giulia, quickly answered our email inquiries concerning the itinerary.
Paolo, our private tour driver, was knowledgeable in the history of Rome and knew his way around the city very well. Paolo, dropped us off very near the attractions we and there was little walking on our part.

Our family had the absolute pleasure of spending the day in Rome with our private driver and guide, Paolo, and it was truly one of the highlights of our entire European vacation.
From the moment he greeted us at the cruise port, Paolo made us feel genuinely welcome. He was warm, personable, and immediately put us at ease. Throughout the day, he shared fascinating stories about Rome’s history, architecture, and culture, turning every drive between destinations into an engaging learning experience. His knowledge is incredible, and his passion for his city is evident in everything he does.
What impressed us most was how much we were able to see in a single day without ever feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Paolo planned the day perfectly, allowing us time to explore each location while keeping everything running smoothly. We experienced so much more than we ever imagined possible.
By lunchtime, we had enjoyed his company so much that we invited him to join us, and we’re so glad we did. The conversation continued over lunch, and it felt less like spending the day with a tour guide and more like spending it with a friend who genuinely wanted us to experience the very best of Rome.
Our children absolutely adored him. In fact, when the day ended, they jokingly asked if we could bring Paolo back onto our cruise ship so he could join us at our next port! Even after returning home, they’re still talking about him and everything he taught us.
Paolo didn’t just show us Rome, he made us appreciate it in a way we’ll never forget. If you’re considering a private tour, we cannot recommend Paolo highly enough. His professionalism, warmth, knowledge, and ability to create such a memorable experience are truly exceptional. We would book another tour with him without hesitation, and we’ll be recommending him to everyone we know.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience exploring Rome with Peter as our driver. From start to finish, he went above and beyond to make our day smooth, memorable, and stress-free.
Peter didn’t just take us to the typical tourist spots—he thoughtfully guided us off the beaten path, showing us hidden gems and local perspectives we never would have discovered on our own. His knowledge of Rome added so much depth to the experience, and we learned far more than we expected.
He was also an excellent driver—professional, safe, and incredibly efficient. Thanks to him, we stayed perfectly on schedule without ever feeling rushed, which is no small feat in a city like Rome!
If you’re planning a visit to Rome, I can’t recommend Peter enough. Having him as your driver will truly elevate your entire experience.

We had a fabulous time, however if can avoid Sunday and a Catholic holiday, you would have less crowds. So glad we had a driver take us around and tell us about the sights, instead of doing Rome on our own.

Wow! This was an amazing experience! Beatrice was beyond knowledgeable and gave us so much great information. She is such an awesome tour guide. Told us the best places for pictures, directions to see the best sites. She gave us ample amount of time at all the places we wanted to go. We saw almost everything on our “list” and then some. She started our day at a quaint bakery where we had pastries and coffee. We would not have been able to do this on a large group tour. We also were able to get places that the bus tours would not have been able to take you. She is so informative and answered any questions that we had. She is very passionate about her work and loves Rome so much. It showed in her excitement of sharing the city with us. I would highly recommend this excursion!
