We had a great time on the boat. The weather cooperated perfectly! We were just a bit disappointed because we were really hoping to see Porthead Lighthouse (especially since it was listed in the itinerary for the tour). We just skimmed FAR past it & it wasn't mentioned until we asked if we were going to go see that one & then we were told that it's now too far & the waters weren't nice. I think we should have been informed earlier so we could have decided if we wanted to go closer. Besides that it was great. The deckhand (Tristan) was very personable & great.

Thank you for joining us, Denise! We are sorry the sea conditions didn't allow us to get closer to Portland Head Light. Our crew really tries hard to ensure a very comfortable experience aboard our charters, and sometimes this means we can't get right up to the lighthouses. However, you make a great point about communication, and we will pass your feedback along. We take that very seriously. We hope you enjoy the rest of your travels in Maine.

Had a wonderful trip around the bay. Crew was knowledgeable, and provided good information about what we were seeing. Boat was also covered, keeping us sheltered from the rain. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely time with captain Zack and our deck hand, Maria! The weather was a little dicey at first, but we got some sunshine and calm seas for the journey back to the dock. Both Zack and Maria were very knowledgeable of the area lighthouses, forts, and island. We also saw a seal, a sea lion, a bald eagle, and lots of other native bird species.
We brought our own breakfast aboard, and enjoyed some soft drinks provided by the boat company. Would highly recommend this experience!

Great way to kill two hours with beautiful sights. The Marie L was clean. The crew had many insights about the history of Portland and the islands around.. She was a knowledgeable deckhand and a great tour guide. Very upbeat and friendly. We saw lighthouses, forts, loons, seals and lots of other boats.

Thank you, Julie! We’re so glad you enjoyed your afternoon aboard the Marie L. Between the lighthouses, forts, seals, and loons, it sounds like a picture-perfect couple of hours on Casco Bay. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words along to your captain and deckhand — they love sharing their knowledge and making each trip fun and memorable. We’d be happy to have you back anytime!
