Meet your Jeep at the Metate Ranch parking lot 10 minutes prior to your tour. Follow the signage for Red Jeep Tours. If you make it to the Granite/Hi Grade construction gate, you have gone too far.

- Confirmation will be received at time of booking, unless booked within 1 day of travel. In this case confirmation will be received as soon as possible, subject to availability
- Service animals allowed
- Not wheelchair accessible
- Most travelers can participate
- As desert temperatures may vary, dressing in layers would be advised
- Please call the reservation's desk a day or two before your tour to confirm your pickup time and location. Failure to call, however, will NOT result in cancellation of the tour.
- Closed-toe shoes, a hat and sunscreen are strongly advised
- A minimum of 2 guests per booking is required
- Tours departing after 1:00 PM are Sunset Tours
- Guests with neck or back problems or pregnant women in their 2nd or 3rd trimester should consult with their doctor before taking a Jeep Tour.
- This is not an extreme tour, but you are travelling on dirt trails and washes, so the ride is a little bumpy.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 14 travelers

This was an excellent desert adventures. Very educational and the tour guide, Don was very knowledgeable and patient. Our favorite was the slot canyon hikes. The hike to the top gave is amazing view of the Coachella valley. Definitely highly recommending this tour!

It’s good but could be one half the time. The second half is much better than the first half. It feels a little like the price is being justified by time taken, not strictly quality.

The Red Jeep Tour is a great way to see the San Andreas Fault and learn about the Cahuilla Indians. The guides are knowledgeable and friendly. Leroy was a great guide and storyteller.

Pace as our guide to the desert and the SA Fsult was a SEVEN star guide*******. He was informative, a story teller and genuine lover of nature: flora, fauna and fossils! We had a memorable ride and were thrilled as he navigated us on a hike through narrow paths through the hills was beyond my expectations and I thought my capacity. We found this tour extremely worthwhile. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the geology, flora and fauna. We learned a lot about how the Indians lived and thrived in this challenging landscape. The highlight was hiking up through a slot canyon.

This tour was amazing! So rich in history and information. Darrell (Blackfeather) was an fantastic guide! He was so knowledgeable about the people and the San Andreas fault and his stories were captivating. The jeep added to the adventure. Darrell took great care of us - he was so entertaining we didn't even mind that we were in a major dust storm! :) This tour is well worth your time and money!

The tour was a good combination of walking and driving. The guide knew a lot about the area and presented it in an engaging manner. Recommend that the tour description mentions that there are bathroom breaks.

Landy was so good explaining everything we were seeing! Loved the oasis, but my favorite part was the slit tunnel hike! It was very hot. Would do it in a winter month if we were to do it again.
