The audio worked and is well done. The map disappeared after our first stop and would not come back do that was not as promised. But, the audio did keep up with our progress. Still, though, a job 1/2 done.

The audio tour was very informative, entertaining and accurate. It was detailed enough to be useful at every point throughout the park. And it was an indispensable map that kept us on track to the points we wanted to see. I downloaded to my phone ahead of time, so we didn’t need a cell signal - and it worked well, even in the desolate areas of the park.

I couldn't get the application to work. No one at the information center knew anything about it. The park service offers the audio tour free. I would like a refund.

James, I’m sorry you couldn’t get my tour working in Joshua Tree. My tour is a self-guided mobile audio experience, so park/visitor center staff won’t have access to it or be able to troubleshoot it. The fastest way to get help is to contact us directly by email, call, or chat. I send simple setup steps via email and SMS right after booking, including downloading the app and the tour ahead of time, so it works offline in the park. Since you weren’t able to use it, please reach out to us with your booking details between 9–6 EST, and I’ll help right away and arrange a refund.

This was such an affordable and easy to use way to explore Joshua Tree! I had my old dog in the car with me so we couldn’t do many hikes, but the tour seamlessly adapts if there are certain stops you don’t want to make. The information about the park and its history were really superb and were sporadic enough to give plenty of quiet time for reflection in between.

this is an excellent way to see the highlights of the park..we did not take any of the hikes (1-3hours) but stopped many times to see the sights they highlighted. very informative and added a lot to our visit..I had trouble getting the program to start correctly but they were very helpful on a live phone conversation...

We debated between hiring a tour guide or going on our own with this audio guide and we are so glad we used the Viator Guide. I traveled with family including a toddler. We were split up in 2 cars. The del-driving tours gave us makers for meeting and allowed our group to flow and converge seamlessly throughout the park without cell service or a reliable way for communication. We agreed on stops along the you to meet and included times for meeting should one group want to explore on their own. The guide wasn’t a wealth of information, but it was enough for us to learn enough about the area and its history.

This is a fabulous way to see Joshua Tree National Park! The tour is well-paced with clear driving instructions, and fantastic information. In addition to clearly explained geological information, the guide provides cultural and historical insights. Also included, are descriptions of hikes (duration, exertion level) that can be taken. We will definitely be using Action in Motion again!!!

Be sure to check the Park website because the entrance we planned to use was closed for a week and that is where we downloaded the trip to start. Ended up using the National Park app. Had to drive further to enter and exit the Park!

It very interesting. We wish it would have updated with the west entrance closing. Between the app and the ranger station we were unclear if there was actually another route available to exit, there was not and had to double back.
