Perfect, glad we had reservations because otherwise would have been a two hour wait to go up. Great experience
Patrick_R, Apr 2026
Buying directly through the tram is the way to go. They give you a timestamp of the time of the tramway. No benefit with long lines to stand in line for multiple hours with a third party provider. Go directly to the website
Carol_M, Apr 2026
It was an all day deal. Never given the option for Sr discount and couldn’t get it when we got there. That would have been nice while booking.
Alexandra_L, Apr 2026
Super cool experience. The wait time can be long if you go when it’s busy, in the middle of the day. There’s a cafe, gift store, and seating area to wait at the bottom. You can walk around and explore a little to kill the time. The tram and views were awesome. The outlook at the top had beautiful views

Although we had a ticket through Viator, when we arrived we were told the wait time was 3 hours. Tickets purchased directly through the tram get a timed entry but all other tickets had to wait. We ended up not being able to do it due to the wait time.
Terry_N, Apr 2026
There is absolutely no benefit to purchasing ahead of time, as those without tickets and those with vouchers are all put into the same line. If you purchase directly from the website for timed entry, that allows you to arrive and line up for boarding, but those tickets sell out quickly.
I would also say that if you are traveling with someone with physical limitations, there is very little empathy for that situation. I was told to find them a place to sit, while I then had to leave them alone to join the very lengthy line. with my Viator voucher.
The ride to the top and the views are stunning. We had a very nice lunch at the Peaks restaurant which has lovely views and a tranquil vibe.

If you buy a pass, you still have to wait in line to get a time on the tram. For example, if you hit peak time, you may wait in line for 30 minutes and then your tram time may not be for another 90 minutes.

Great place for both family outings and or high elevation hiking .
Saw a lot of families coming in for picnics

We spent the day with our kids, it was a great time. To avoid lines maybe go later in the afternoon, we got there right when it opened and waited for a bit to get into the parking area but it was well worth it. Everyone was friendly, and of course the views up and down were amazing!!!

The tram ride was great! We would not use Viator to purchase tickets. Communication is confusing with the Viator purchase. Viator uses the words ticket and voucher. You receive a ‘Ticket” from Viator. It is called a ‘Ticket’ then verbiage is used referencing a voucher. You must stand in line even if you have the ticket because it’s not really a ticket, you must get a timed entry ticket so you can ride the tram. We lost 2 hrs thinking we had a ticket in hand. We had to stand in line when told you really don’t have a ticket. There was no purpose to buy a ticket through Viator. You will still have to stand in line to get your actual ticket.

When you purchase Aerial Tram tickets on Viator, you DO NOT have a reservation time set. So, you may have to wait for a spot to open well after you arrive. Outside of that, we did go on a tram at 5:12 and arrived at 5:00pm.
Jim_M, Apr 2026
The tram is great, the ticket experience and long wait are not!
Why not let the customer know when there tram ride is scheduled when they purchase a ticket?
Karen_D, Apr 2026
Bought tickets weeks in advance. When we arrived at 11am the wait was already 2 1/2 hours. Decided it was not worth it....
Larry_S, Mar 2026
Awesome experience. Would highly recommend to others. Views were unbelievable. Would definitely do it again.
ELLA_L, Mar 2026
I would have given it 5 stars but we had to wait in line to get in for parking and then wait 2-1/2 hours before we could get on the tram. But once on board it was a beautiful ride and the trails on top of the mountain were great. The operators were friendly and fun. It was a great experience.

Don’t buy tickets for this unless you buy direct from the attraction itself. Everyone who purchases via 3rd party has a voucher, which aren’t allocated a time slot for the attraction. You are sent into the same line as unticketed, this means you waste your time waiting for the time they give you. So 2-3 hours, if you buy direct you choose the time when you buy. You’ve already paid to park, the cafe is overpriced and unhealthy junk food so what do you do other than wait. The chaos of people waiting is ridiculous, not enough seating for unhappy people just wasting their valuable time.
The views are spectacular but honestly not worth the wait. So please learn from my wasted time and buy your ticket in advance directly from the attraction website.
Deena_G, Mar 2026
Ticket doesn’t include a specific tram time slot so you get assigned the next available time-slot once you check in. We waited 2 hours for the next available tram. There’s a cafe and plenty of seating area so that’s helpful. Just be aware you may wait for a while. .
Calista_B, Mar 2026
If you buy thru Viator you still have to stand in line for a time stamp. We waited an hour and half. We arrived at 10:30 on a Thursday. The tram ride itself is awesome!!
Neil_M, Mar 2026
Very disappointed. Time was not set for the tour. 3 hour wait and no refund. Was tossed around from Viator to the tour guide and then just ended getting no refund. Dont use this service!
Cathy_C, Mar 2026
Arrived @ opening time and encountered a long line of people. Then with a Viator proof of purchased, I wasn’t able to go through except to wait in this long line for my voucher to be turned into a ticket. Once @ the counter; the representative who waited on me refer to this as a 3rd party purchased & this made me feel horrible for making my purchase this way and our time to get on board the tram was now a hour and 30 minutes wait time. It was just horrible & chaos scene with so manny people.
I just recommend that if you’re interested in doing this activity; please purchase from Palm Springs aerial tram a day before, in day in advance & it will have your time and the date you wanted and arrive @ that time instead of the wait time and no chaos to make it enjoyable ‼️
Evelyn_h, Mar 2026
But your tickets direct from the tram company in order to get a ticket with a set time. We waited 2.5 hours to get on the tram even though we arrived promptly at opening time
Lynn_P, Mar 2026
Read the small print so that you understand, these are not actual tickets you still have to get in the ticket line and get actual tickets with an entry time stamped on them. Do not get in the departure line with just your vouchers. They need to make the print bigger to read. I must have had to explain this 6 times just in the hour we waited to board.

I loved this! a little nerve wracking on the Aerial Tram (didn’t know the floor rotated) 😳…but after my initial uneasiness it was a breeze and well worth the trek…Mt Jacinto is absolutely breathtaking👍
William_M, Mar 2026
Done with Viator; booked two tours same day
Intended to do this first, but was a two hour wait; did our own tour of PS downtown.
Texted yall with my cancellation request and you never answered, but yall sent me another voucher for yesterday, but we are gone from area. Then, the local tour agent for Joshua Tree tour, second tour of day, thought we had canceled them; I straightened that out.
Your communications suck!
MICHAEL_W, Mar 2026
Plan for wait times to ride up tram. We arrived around 2 and was 1 hr wait. We had enough time as last tram down was 9:30 pm.
Everyone loved the ride up and down and the views at the top.
tymjt2xk7t, Mar 2026
The ride up and down the mountain was breathtaking and the hiking environment was beautiful. Go for the view and hiking!
William_G, Mar 2026
The experience was great and the people were friendly. The view were spectacular and the hiking trails were challenging.
Kristi_S, Mar 2026
Just because you buy your voucher online, that isn’t your ticket to ride. When you arrive you need to stand in line to get your tickets and we had to wait 90 minutes after that to ride tram. The wait on the way back is however long you take on your hike, eating lunch etc. Tram leaves every 12 minutes. The views are absolutely beautiful!
Robin_J, Mar 2026
The tram ride is thrilling. It is a tremendous relief from the heat down below... a good 20-30 degrees lower at the top. The wilderness that stretches out from the Mt Top Station is gorgeous and there are two hikes offered for those not heading out into the wilderness. The food is moderately good, just cafeteria food. Avoid the lines by going to the viewing platforms while the line dies down immediately following the arrival of a tram. The viewing platforms are well worth a visit and the views are exquisite. Be warned, if you use Viator to purchase a ticket for the tram, you are going through a "third party" and all you get is a voucher that has to be traded in for a ticket with a time for your tram ride. It will be when there is room on a tram... which means you could easily wait 90 minutes... we did. There are some tables and chairs in the shade among trees where you can sit to wait. I wish I had understood better what the voucher represented and that we would have to wait in line for 15 minutes to get a ticket then wait 90 minutes for available space on a tram. Still, it was worth it and I'd do it again.
Ronald_M, Mar 2026
Do not buy tickets here. Its only a voicher and you have to wait in the same lie with day of ticket purchasers. For us, that was 45 minutes then we had to wait another 1 1/2 hoirs for the ride up.
Not much to do up top except take a hike.
Herculean waste of time snd effort . Plus 15 bucks to park.
