Sophie was our guide -words cannot express what an amazing tour this was made especially worthwhile because of Sophie. She knows the park inside and out - not only does she have knowledge of the hidden spots - she truly loves going into the park and it shows in her enthusiasm. We went to so many gorgeous vistas- each one different - we learned about the history of the Joshua tree and how each are different- like snowflakes- no 2 exactly alike. We totally enjoyed our experience. It was like getting a tour by an old friend. We would highly recommend this tour and our guide!

Spencer arrived to our hotel early and was most accommodating to our needs. He is very well read and knowledgeable on the area.
As we are older, he was so kind to make sure we were always ok at each stop. Spencer made our Joshua Tree tour very enjoyable.

Jason, our tour guide was top notch. He knew lot about the history of Joshua Tree National Park. He let us tailor our tour according to our needs. I have some mobility issues and problems with intense heat. I hiked alittle and went back into the air conditioned van. Palm Springs had record highs that week. He made the tour comfortable and Fun!

We had the best time on this tour! Frank showed us all around the park, and the day was a great mix of driving around and being active - we got to cover a lot of ground and spend a lot of time outside exploring. Perfect for my two adventurous city kids!

We explored Joshua tree park w/ tour guide Spencer, who was not only professional but also genuine, kind, funny and knowledgeable about the park. Joshua Tree was on our bucket list. I am so happy we waited for the right time and Spencer to make our tour one we will always remember. Listen to the guides advice. It was much colder in the park than in Palm Springs so very glad he advised we bring coats .

Frank was a great tour guide! We traveled with two guests over 80 and he catered to what we needed! He had a lot of fun facts throughout the tour! We would choose/request Frank again!
The van could have been cleaner, if you are looking a newer updated transportation experience this might not be the right tour. But again cannot say enough good things about our guide which outweighed the vehicle experience.

Lol. Ya we we're doing tours everyday for 2 weeks straight in that Van. Haha. But ya we vacuumed it up, it's nice and clean for the next tour. lol. We have a couple big white passenger Vans and a couple mini vans. We can do big groups of 12 people in the big vans or small groups in the small vans. We do private pick ups from your hotel or airbnb anywhere in the desert. Just let us know where you're staying and we will come pick you up and take you to the park. :) or we can meet you in Joshua Tree by the Visitor Center. Glad you guys had fun. :)

Our family tour with Spencer to Joshua Tree National Park was absolutely outstanding.
From start to finish, Spencer made the entire experience memorable, engaging, and completely stress-free. His knowledge of the park’s geology, wildlife, and history added so much depth to the trip, and he shared it all in a way that felt natural and genuinely passionate.
Spencer struck the perfect balance between guiding and giving space to explore. He always knew the best viewpoints, hidden gems, and photo spots. . His enthusiasm for the desert landscape was contagious, and it made the experience even more meaningful.

Better than expected. Super happy we decided to do a tour and Spencer was a fabulous guide. Self guided we would have gotten 20 percent of what we learned by hiring a guided tour.

A must tour if you’re new to Joshua Tree. Frank was great, very friendly and calm. We were 30 min late due to our mistake and he was nice enough to extend our tour so that we wouldn’t miss anything. The sites and the hike were so beautiful and it was interesting to learn about the flora and fauna of the area. He adjusted our hikes to suit our needs which made the tour more personal. We had such a wonderful time. Thank you Frank!

Definitely wear good shoes for some hiking and possibly rock scrambling. This private tour of Joshua Tree National Park will take you through out the entire park where you will be able to touch and feel the metamorphic boulders, take lots of amazing pictures of wildlife and Joshua Trees, and scramble around. Our private tour of Joshua Tree National Park was a fun and memorable experience for our family group of five adults ranging in age from 31 to 79—myself, my spouse, our son and daughter-in-law, and my sister. Our guide, Jim, was outstanding: friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable about the park and the Palm Springs area. Jim tailored the tour to our interests, set a comfortable pace, and suggested the best spots for photos—many of which he took for us.
We had a bit of an auspicious start to the tour: upon arriving at the Visitor’s Center, our phones alerted us to an earthquake detected in the area. We weren’t sure how the day—or the tour—was going to unfold, but fortunately, it was smooth sailing after that.
Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore Joshua Tree with a knowledgeable and personable guide. It's an excellent way to experience the park’s unique flora and rock formations.
One note: the pre-tour guidance suggested dressing warmly, but in late April, we found the temperatures comparable to those in Palm Desert.

Yes, it's starting to warm up here in Joshua Tree, we tell people to dress warmly because it's a mountain and higher elevation than Palm Springs, so around 10 to 15 degrees cooler than Palm Springs areas. Glad everyone had fun. The Joshua Tree Park is a great place to spend you day. In the summers you have to go earlier in the morning to avoid the heavy heat. :)
