- Please note that BANANAs are prohibited on the boat due to Hawaiian superstitions. It will bring bad luck.
- You may NOT leave behind your personal belongings on the shuttle bus during the tour, so please only what is necessary and only to bring on a boat.
- To prevent accidents such as falls, we ask that you take off your shoes while on board.
- The time required for the transfer between Waikiki and the harbor is approximately 1 hour. (Depends on traffic conditions)
- Weather and wildlife conditions may delay our return to harbor.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 25 travelers

My 12 year old daughter and I had a blast on this excursion. We had a fun crew hosting us and we got to see spinner dolphins and humpback whales both on this trip! The sunset was stunning. I would highly recommend this trip to any friend or family member.

We had a great trip. The captain and crew were awesome and we happened upon Hawaiian spinner Dolphins right out of port and then were able to watch a family of whales mother, calf and escort(large male) for over an hour.

Excellent tour. Very kind and funny driver and crew members. Made a genuine effort to locate and “follow” the whales for the best viewing. You can tell they really love being on the water. Well worth the price.

We saw 4 different species which even surprised our guides & captain - humpback whales, pilot whales, bottlenose dolphins & spinner dolphins - so exciting.

First I want to say everyone was very nice. But it wasn’t 2.5 hours it was 6 hours. They don’t add the drive to the catamaran. The boat itself was uncomfortable. No whales were seen although there were dolphins. No narrative at all but maybe 30 minutes about dolphins in the 6 hours. Felt more like a boat owner trying to make extra money rather than a professional tour. Expected more from a Viator excursion.

Not the best value when the captain leaves when the whales are arriving. The complementary ride was 1.5 hours to get to the boat but he was great. They need to figure out the bathroom situation because 5+ hours without an adequate bathroom was not comfortable. The ocean was beautiful and it helped to see a turtle and they caught a couple nice fish.

My husband and I enjoyed a Saturday evening cruise. Picked us up from Waikiki, met some nice people. We were lucky enough to see 5 or 6 whales. Staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. We enjoyed it.

Whales! Up close. Sooo fun! Beautiful west side view of mountains. Very enjoyable. The staff, especially the captain, was so personable, knowledgeable and really put out an extra effort for us all to see the whales! We can’t wait to do it again

This was a horrible tour and experience. The website said we were on a spacious and comfortable catamaran, but we felt unsafe from the moment they had us take off our shoes before getting on the boat. We were sitting on uncushioned outside bench with nothing but a thin rail between us and the water. The boat was dirty, had a broken/missing navigational light, and lackluster safety briefing. The website also said we would learn about whales from the guide but there was zero discussion about whales. The crew mostly hung out with themselves and they were fishing for their dinner off the back of the boat! We were an hour late getting back to the harbor yet had to stop while they reeled in a catch. We signed up for a hotel pickup then were told to walk six blocks to their pickup spot. The website didn’t say the boat was an hour away from Hololulu so we spent two hours riding in a van.

Reason why we ask you to take off your shoes is for sarfty. however our boat has passed USCG inspections every year but looks like it is not what you imagined.
the crew staff explained about whales, etc., but it seems that you were not satisfied but apologise for one of crew member was fishing during a tour we will be careful so that such a thing does not happen in the future.However, there is no fact that the return to port was delayed by one hour due to fishing.
After confirming with the driver, he picked you up at the usual meeting point, but he will take you back to your hotel on the way back.
Waianae Harbor on West Oahu and the Waikiki area are one hour each way. As a traveler, I understand that you are not familiar with the area, but I wish you had read this when you made your reservation.

Friendly and helpful tour guides. Brought my 85 year old mom over for the holidays, and she has never seen a whale so whale watching cruise was a big bucket list item for her. We were approached by a small pod of Spinner dolphins who had fun playing and jumping around the boat. We saw a mama and baby whale which made my mom so excited and happy. Crew was great at spotting and helping my mom safely navigate the boat for the best viewing. Fantastic afternoon, we will go again.

Loved everything about this tour! The peace of being on the water with the wind blowing! The dolphins swimming with us under the water at the front of the boat! The tour guys were hilarious and kept us laughing! One even caught a tuna but as they were pulling it out of the water the line broke and it got away! The sunset was awesome! And finally the whale sightings, no words needed!

Had a great time. From the pickup at the hotel, the ride to the boat, the cruise and return to hotel - every step was a pleasure. The van driver and boat crew were all professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. We got to see several whales and a pod of dolphins. I can't imagine a better experience.

The sunset whale cruise was the perfect ending to a week long vacation. The owner Julie made us feel so welcomed and a part of the family. Her family style cruise was so relaxing and we had so much fun mingling with her amazing crew and other guests. We saw whales and the sunset was spectacular. This is a must do when on Oahu.. highly recommend.
