Okay

Shirley_B, Jun 2025
This was okay if you had extensive time to listen to the guide. But the site has good written explanations at each point which are very good; it takes a full day to see all that Pearl Harbor has to offer without even starting the guide. We’d never have made it thru if we listened to it. The virtual reality was fine, but not exceptional. Expensive for minimal usage.

Pearl harbor audio tour

Jonel_C, Apr 2023
No information not provided by the publicly available information and videos. Pretty tedundent. Not really of value.

Not worth purchasing through Viator!

Thomas_O, Apr 2023
Well, I wanted this to be the best experience ever, as I have been waiting for this for many years it was a horrible experience. I was told the boat tour experience was not included, which was fine, but went directly to the website. There were no availabilities when I called they asked me to wait. Once I spoke to someone, they assured me I could arrive and purchase tickets. When we arrived, we were told no bags allowed. It would’ve been helpful to know that before hand. Another $14 then will spend to check in our bags. Only to find once we entered, we could get bags that were not clear. Where in gods name does this make sense? I have to say, very disappointed with Viator for not giving us a heads up.

Disappointed

Tracy_I, Oct 2022
We could have done all the grounds with out the narrative. We still did not get access to the actual memorial and the standby line was hours of waiting. My nephews from Sweden did not even use the audio portion. Very disappointing.

Response from Host, Dec 2022

Aloha Tracy, We are very sorry you could not get tickets for the boat or get through in the standby line. The repairs on the pier have been completed, and we are now running at full capacity, so the tickets are easier to get, and the standby line is much shorter. There will still be seasonal long lines during school breaks and in the summer, but more people can now visit the memorial regularly. We hope you will have the opportunity to revisit and experience one of our new multimedia tours or VRs with stories on video from real WWII veterans and Pearl Harbor survivors. Warmest regards, Pacific Historic Parks Team

Not for those who cannot walk far or the elderly.

Brenda_D, Aug 2022
It was a 2 1/5 wait to get tickets for the boat out to the Arizona because they all get purchased online within seconds by tour companies. I was travelling with my 90 year mother who was not able to stand in that line with the heat and humidity so we gave up. Going to the Arizona was the most important she wanted to do on our Hawaii vacation since she was alive during this time in history. The park doesn't provide wheelchairs so the walking tour was out, the Missouri was out and the submarine was out. This is not a handicap friendly park. On top of that the virtual reality tour we paid for crashed and we were not able to do the one thing where she could sit. We flew from the Big Island just for this and it was a total bomb.

Reverencial and inspirational

Jane_S, Jul 2022
the virtual experience of being on the Arizona on December 1, 1941 was chilling and somber, gave me additional respect for our military.

Missed

Kellen_F, Jul 2022
We didn’t have enough time and couldn’t take the tour. We never used the tickets. We would go today but no tickets

Getting to hear the...

Teon_M, Jun 2022
Getting to hear the commentary while viewing the artifacts were great! The virtual reality center was the best part of the visit

Misleading

Dongngan_T, Mar 2022
This tour does not include tickets to the USS Arizona and is completely misleading. You must go to the the site directly to buy tickets to the USS Arizona. They need to put this clearly in the title/listing.

Ripped off by Viator

Luka_B, Mar 2022
Do not book thru Viator! Ripoff- admission is free. They charged me twice as much for the same audio that is available onsite for 7.99. They don’t tell you that the Memorial entrance requires a reservation so we arrived and there was a two hour wait in the standby line.

Seeing and hearing what...

Henry_O, Jan 2022
Seeing and hearing what happened leading up to and after the attack. Seeing artifacts and other pieces history.

The self narrated tour...

MatthewJ_K, Sep 2021
The self narrated tour was excellent. But we could NOT go out to the USS Arizona due to a broken dock. This would have pulled the experience together. Really bummed about this.

Waste of money

Shirley_M, Aug 2021
It was a waste of money. There wasn’t enough description of what was included, a lot of missing info and it was cheaper at the place. Not recommend it.

Not a visit to the actual memorial

James_M, Aug 2021
Maybe it was my rush to get tickets on short notice, but this tour does NOT include the boat trip out to the actual memorial (the site of the USS Arizona itself.) I have no idea what the tour actually includes but when I was told we wouldn't be able to view the actual memorial we simply didn't go and I ate the $32 tickets. I'm sure this comes down to an issue of not reading the fine print, but all we wanted was to visit an important, world-famous memorial an not an on-shore virtual reality "tour."

Knowledge

ShawnDorsey, Jun 2021
Just getting better knowledge of what was going on and listen to it really helped me a lot............... ...

Narration only

Jacquelyn_L, Jun 2021
The narrated tour was very informative. I would suggest pre-purchasing the Bowfin tour. Don't take anything more than wallet and phone. All bags must be checked before entering the Visitors Center.

Watch Out.... your tickets to see the actual memorial are not included.

Alan_H, Apr 2021
Don't want to say anything positive or negative about the actual tour since we did not use it. We paid for tour assuming that the actual memorial admittance was included. It was not.

Powerful

AmyKuschel_B, Apr 2021
Hours posted on Viator are WRONG. Everything closes up around 4pm. The USS Arizona Memorial Narrated Tour was excellent, but we ran out of time and missed the Pearl Harbor Virtual Reality Center. Also, be sure to reserve boat tkts on separate website!

Lackluster VR Experience

Colby_O, Apr 2021
The VR ship experience takes place in a mostly static environment. The visuals are low quality due to the older hardware they use. If you've never done VR before this might be a cool experience but it's not guaranteed to impress people who have. That being said, I enjoyed the other exhibits.

Complete waste of money

DANIEL_R, Apr 2021
this was a bit of a scam. We were sold audio tours for a memorial to which we cannot get to. The boats to the Arizona memorial were all booked. I will be disputing this with my credit card.

Walking through history

MaryTeresa_G, Nov 2020
The thought of a virtual tour sounded boring but, was wonderful, gave us flexibility and let us revisit areas we wanted to spend more time at.

Fraud

Mjc, Mar 2020
Movie and tour were free. Wasted $40.no need to buy tickets. Viator mislead me and made me buy these pointless tickets

Great visit!

Michael C, Jun 2019
I appreciated the video before we boarded the boat to the memorial. Most of all I appreciated how the video was objective and not filled with American exceptionalism. It was focused on those who served and sacrificed instead of being wholly "rah, rah, America." Thank you for that!

Pas på ikke at overse dine muligheder.

Carina_F, Aug 2022
