Johnny was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and really made it an enjoyable and blessed day. Everyone on the bus relaxed and had a great time. Love meeting new people and this group and Johnny will remain a memory for a very long time. This is our first trip to Hawaii and this was our first planned activity and it was really great!!!!

Great value for money. Fantastic guide. The morning ventral pick up location was awful but once we were on our bus it was fabulous. We had a great driver who showed us so much of the island.

We booked via Viator with Ultimate Circle Island Tours. We were scheduled to be picked up at Kai Lai Waikiki Beach at 7:30 AM on 223 Saratoga Rd.
They delegated our tour to AllStar Tours. We arrived at 223 Saratoga early to ensure we didn’t miss the bus. Shortly after 7:30 am, an AllStar bus pulled up. Finally a guy got out of the bus named Kentucky. We told him we were part of his group, showed him our info but he told us he had no idea what I was talking about, it’s not his reservation and he left without us. What!!! Another tour operator saw us standing there and asked us if we needed any help. He looked at my info and said ‘well, that guy from Allstar was your driver and left! He offered to take us to the Hyatt Regency. I saw the Kentucky guy there when we got off the other guys bus and said we were on his tour and what was up with leaving us there. He hardly looked at us and said go stand under the green awning until I call your name. No ‘I’m sorry’ - nothing. He called off names for a half hour and never called us. I finally went up to him and said here is my reservation, it was with him and why did he leave us there. He adamantly stated I went to the wrong place, and said I should read my emails better. When I shoved my phone in his face showing him in fact I got a text from HIS COMPANY telling me to meet at the other location, all he could say was to get on the Aloha Sunshine Tour bus. Such an arrogant, insulting person. I can’t believe he is successful in a customer service position.
Our day got completely better when we got into the Aloha Sunshine Tour bus and had a 5-star day. I will not review Aloha here because this is about the terrible service AllStar provided. I recommend no one uses them. Horrible person and company.

Consider doing this tour early on ypur trip to get a good overview of Oahu. It is a fast phased tour of the northside not a leisurely tour. This will also give you a good glimpse of the places you want to return to to spend a day.

Sometimes it is important to look at the name of something- in this case, having the name Oahu's Cheapest Circle tour is true, and not a good thing. I have booked several excursions with Viator and we've been very happy. This one was the first we were unhappy with. It started at the beginning. We got our text reminder and good instructions on where to go for pick up- at the Hyatt Regency, in the back under the green awning. We were asked to be there by 7:20 for a 7:30 pick up. We were there at 7 to be sure. When we got there, it was a very chaotic scene. There were multiple tours picking up there. There was also construction going on across the street adding to the noise and chaos. There were multiple vans and buses with no indication on them what tour they were. Most of the tour hosts were coming out- no signage or calling out the tour, just yelling out names. One of the tour guides told us that it was best for us to just sit back and wait for a tour guide to call our name. 7:30 came and went, 7:40 came and went, 7:50 came and went. A couple next to us - their tour was also last but they were getting regular text updates. Us - nothing. The text I had said to contact "Kentucky" with any issues. I tried to call several times, it went straight to voicemail and the mailbox was full so I couldn't leave a message. So I texted saying no one had shown up and could I get an update. Nothing. Finally, like 8:10- a gentleman yells out our last name but pronounces it wrong. My husband asked to confirm if it was out last name, and the guy said get in the van. My husband asked again and spelled out our last name and the guy replied M O U S E- and told us again to get on the bus. It was rude and unhelpful. We got on the van hoping we were boarding the right tour. The van was completely full. I understand the company needing to be cost efficient but it was tight. Although the tour is advertised as air conditioned van, there was air - extremely loud in the back where we were sitting but not cool- just enough air to keep it circulating. The seats were torn and uncared for. Our driver tried to be nice and gave some background and info on Oahu, but we had long periods of silence, and the speaker that put out what he was saying on his headset was crackly and you couldn't hear him well. He made an offensive inquiry asking my husband if I was his mother. The description on Viator said it would be a 6 hour tour. Just about all the tours we have booked on Viator have been on time as the description, but this tour picked us up late, started late, and although the description said 6 hours- it was 9 1/2 hours from start to drop off (not including the 45 min late pick up). Normally I would not complain about getting extra time on an excursion, but this one did not offer anything "extra" to make up for that. It subsequently made us miss our next excursion, which I planned plenty of time in between to allow for any issues. Because of most vendors strict no refund policies, we were out $110 for the excursion we missed and it was our last night in Oahu, so no time to make it up. We were not the only ones on the van that this happened to. I didn't get a response from "Kentucky" until much later and it was a simple "the buses were there behind the building." sort of intimating that they were on time and I was wrong. That was frustrating. Not once was there an apology, no kind aloha or mahalo. I read the reviews and saw this seems to be an issue with this tour. I understand it is hard working in a customer service indusry- I do as well, and sometimes customers/tourists can get irritating asking the same questions, being late, etc. but this tour group seems to have lost their love for customer service. My advice, pay a little more and go with a tour group who is a little more committed to customer service.

Tor guide was great BUT asked who wanted more time to snorkel at turtle cove 5 of the 24 pax said yes so instead of having a hot lunch at the shrimp shop he said to get our lunch and eat it at turtle bay so more time was spent for the snorkelers. Instead of eating a hot lunch at tables with a clean restroom to wash after meal we were taken to a resort with no tables so 19 of us had cold lunch sitting on a wet lawn and waited over an hour for the snorkelers, hard to find restrooms to wash hands and it started to rain. Not fair to the 19 who would have liked a hot lunch. I am sure on a circle island tour snorkeling should not be offered, there are a lot of snorkeling tours available. The age group on the tour were 19 passengers OVER 60 plus who would not need snorkeling option, get rid of the option the tour would have been excellent without it.

Arrived at pick up 20 minutes before the requested time, pick up area was chaotic with construction going on directly across the road from pick up spot. Though tere was a gentleman calling out names, not once did I hear my name being called (though I did enquire twice - once when I thought I had a mispronounciation of my name and again to see if my tour had arrived. Anyway, after noticing that most people had left and there were no buses left and the gentleman that had been calling out names had walked up the street and the disappeared - my husband and I walked around the corner to grab some breakfast 3/4 of an hour AFTER our pick up which never happened. Contacted ticket provider immediately who then checked with tour provider. Later on in the day, they confirmed that I was a no show even though I was at the pick up point earlier than the scheduled time. So I paid for a tour for 2 people - that apparently was my own fault for missing and now not eligible for refund. Usually this company is quite good but in this case ........ people from NZ, use another tour company!

The pineapple was stop was delicious and the preparer was woohoo! The shrimp stop was delicious and had us wanting to go back for more. The beaches are incredible. I wish the driver shared more of his knowledge with our group. The morning getting on to the buses was a bit chaotic. The bus was cramped. No guarantee to sit together in your group. Overall though good experience and we are glad we did the tour.

Do not book here, the manager is extremely unprofessional. Our tour bus broke down and we sat a shrimp truck for almost 2 hrs! We did not get to finish our tour. Very upsetting we had 13 guest total on the tour and the manager never responded to any of us so we all got screwed

The tour operator is unhelpful & very unprofessional. He will just read your messages.
We was out all day & didn't complete what we was supposed to. The van broke down & some other van took us to a shrimp place where we were stranded for 2 hours after they said someone would come in 45 minutes.
Once we eventually got picked up, we had to turn around due to someone having a flight to catch, so we missed out on half the tour.
We had other excursions booked that we have lost money on.
In good morale, I would have hoped the tour operator knew this was wrong to everyone involved.
However, he instead rejected our refund request & lied, saying that we were immediately picked up and was continuing our tour.
The only good part about this was the very nice tour guide, it wasn’t his fault the bus broke down.
DO NOT BOOK!!!!!

Derk, our guide, was SO nice and funny! He was very attentive and caring. The activities were nice, although we didnt see any turtles. But, the guy who was calling our name to go join Derk was not. He was not saying my name the right way, and i waited 30 minutes for nothing. When i finally understood he was waiting for me, he was REALLY rude to me. He even asked me if i could speak. I have to say that at this moment, i didnt want to go anymore. The same guy was also really rude with another woman.

Tour company was very accommodating as we missed our scheduled day as we did not check our texts to say to meet under green canopy and luckily we were able to do the tour the next day. Very informative and really liked the driver.
