Our last minute decision to book a private luxury tour of Oahu with MSH Massimo Tours was wonderful.
Our guide, Daniella, met us at our hotel the next morning and based on her understanding of our interests and her superb knowledge of what Oahu had to offer, she customized our day’s itinerary to meet our needs.
The day was amazing as we toured beautiful beaches and lush botanical gardens on our schedule.
Daniella’s knowledge, energetic personality, and love of the island,
made the day perfect and we wouldn’t have changed a thing.

When researching things to do on Oahu, I honestly bypassed this tour at first because of the price. It is a bit more expensive than most. However, just before the trip, I decided that since we had only three days in Oahu (two of them had to be IN Honolulu), and since we hadn't rented a vehicle, and since we would never be back to Hawaii - those three reasons made me take the plunge and book this private tour for my husband and me. Let me plainly DECLARE - out of 16 days in Hawaii (3 in Oahu, 7 in Maui, 6 on Kauai) - this was one of the two best days of our whole entire trip! The tour guide, Daniela, called me the day before the tour, introduced herself and made sure the pick-up spot was understood. When she picked us up, we instantly knew that Daniela was very personable and so easy to talk to. She first went over the day's agenda, and asked if it was suitable for us. She asked if we wanted it altered in any way. A plan was made - and away we went. She talked along the way, told us interesting facts, talked of historical events, pointed out important buildings, and gave us info on things that were unique to all the areas. She took our picture at SEVERAL locations (and they are SO good!), stopped at all the tourist attractions like Dole, the coffee plantation, all the famous beaches, the garlic shrimp food truck, a few other popular eateries, but more importantly took us to some of her favorite out-of-the-way places - and I must say, the views were INCREDIBLE! Daniela was just so pleasant, and eager to please our travel needs. We, as tourists, came first. Our wants, and needs, came first. She made sure we had food and drink - and restrooms as needed! She showed us flowers, she showed us lilikoi fruit and other foods unique to the island, ways to cook island dishes. She spoke of famous locals, how important surfing is to the culture, etc. Honestly, the topics and conversations just flowed easily - ALL DAY! She just knew how to time everything to make it a perfect day. My husband and I never regretted ONCE, spending the money. As a matter of fact, she made the visit to Oahu enjoyable, and made it a beautiful lifetime memory. We appreciated it so much, that we gave her a generous tip! And I would do it over again if I could! The day will definitely fill many pages in my photo book. (The visit to Pearl Harbor on the day prior, was a must, but it was sombering and thought provoking. I wouldn't call that enjoyable) - but THIS day - THIS day was truly enjoyable and unforgettable! I will never forget Daniela and the great hostess she was. Please don't think it costs too much. You really DO get what you pay for- and MORE... Even the husband agrees :)

This is a scam. I booked my private island 2 months in advance for the day after thanksgiving. I have only gotten a text from the provider at 8:54 am the day prior which was Thanksgiving day. (Note, my tour starts at 9 am the next day) the guide asked me to have a phone conversation to discuss itinerary. I called him back as soon as I saw the text, and the first thing he said to me was if I knew there would be additional $200 transportation fee to be picked up from my hotel (outside Honolulu) I told him no, and it never stated anywhere when I booked this tour or no one has ever reached out to me prior to notify the fee. The tour was $880 and I am asked to pay additional $200 or I am not getting picked up. At this time, the 24 hour cancellation period has passed because it was over 9 am. I was basically put into a position I either agree to the $200 extra or no one will show up for the tour (still have to pay $880) after a couple minutes. The guidance said everything is fine. He will pick me up at nine another two hours went by, I receive a text from provider and email from viator asking me to pay $200. I emailed viator back 3 times before I had gotten them saying they are not refunding me and no one will pick us up. Just be aware of this company. I am sure this is not their first time. It was very disappointing that happened to us on our first Hawaii thanksgiving trip. $880 is a lot of money and to be asked for $200 additional the day prior it’s not right. I have included all the email and text screen shot on this and will file a claim.

Our private tours do include hotel pickup within Honolulu, and we always strive to communicate any additional transportation fees for pickups outside of this area. We understand that unexpected charges can be frustrating, and we regret any miscommunication about this fee.

Max was excellent about showing us different parts of the island. Him driving us around allowed us all to enjoy the tour rather than worrying about parking. The only thing to know is the only option for food comes at the beginning of the tour. If you are hungry, you should eat then!

We decided as a family of 5 to make our first trip to Hawaii/ Ohau over Christmas 2023. Our private Island tour with Dan- was by far the highlight of our trip. He brought us on a hike for some views, North Shore, beaches that were away from the crowds and showed us so much of the Island. He was very knowledgeable about the Island, cultures, and kept my 3 teenagers engaged the entire time. He did not stop at just the tour- he continued to give us suggestions for other places to visit and dine- which we did and enjoyed every outing. He topped off our tour with a stop at a favorite for shaved ice. So amazing and we have already referred him to friends visiting the Island. You can't go wrong with this added to your visit.
