This was my first time visiting New York, and I brought my daughter for her 15th birthday along with her best friend. Andrew P was our tour guide. I could not have asked for a better tour guide. First off, It was so refreshing to have a New York native as our tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, took us around the city, we had such a blast. Andrew was incredibly entertaining, and I feel so lucky that he was our tour guide. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone especially visiting New York for the first time. I would definitely book a tour again just to do it again!

Federal Building is closed. No one there to meet you and no directions on new location.

I made the right choice by booking this tour for my first time in NYC. Our guide, Jake, showed us all the main sights in Manhattan. He gave us valuable advice on what to do and not do in the city. He was knowledgeable and interesting and we felt like we were hanging out with a friend. I highly recommend this 5 hour tour, especially if it’s your first time in NYC.

We loved our tour with Rosemary (Ro)!!!! This was worth our time and money! We would’ve been walking for 5 hours anyway, so why not learn about what you are seeing along the way AND you don’t have to worry about navigation. Ro had amazing history lessons! We recommend taking this tour on the first full day of your trip.

It was a good introduction to New York. We covered a large area from Wall St to Central Park. Thank goodness we caught a train from Little Italy to Grand Central Station. Our guide was informative and easy to talk to. We didn't quite follow the itinerary I expected, but it was good.

Alone and confused

The tour was very informative. The guide was very focused on making his schedule. However, he spent almost 3 hours of the tour in the Wall Street area, which should have been one hour, and left very little time in Little Italy and Chinatown. It also made taking pictures of the sites he told us about was very difficult. We headed to the subway a little over three hours into the tour. My friend and I were having trouble paying for the train. The tour guide and group were gone when we got past the gates. We went to the different platforms to look for them, but clearly, they had boarded a train without us. It was very disappointing that it was a pretty good tour, which turned into a very frustrating situation. So, we were left not completing the 5 hour tour we paid for and down in the subway in a city we did not know.

My daughter and I throughly enjoyed our tour. It was not the typical speaker box tour and so grateful for that. So much knowledge and background information, the kind of things only a long term local would know. I recommend this tour over all others! Get off the bus and get on your feet!

I have been on a few guided walks in various locations but this was the best and it’s not even close. Our guide, John, was professional, attentive, informative and above all fun! He is clearly in love with New York and he achieved his goal of making us love New York with ease. It is hard to believe that a tour of over five hours could pass so quickly but thanks to John with his local knowledge and personal anecdotes the day flew by. The rest of my family were also blown away by John, a man who has left us happier and wiser.

The walk was terrible. The guide was very alternative, suggested activities like entering a beer fair and in the middle of the tour left us in a park for young children for about 30 minutes in Chinatown and went to buy food for him. After that we had to take the subway and I left (I noticed that 2 couples also did not continue). I got a bad impression of the Viator site. I was very disappointed. I felt mistaken.
