Our guide was very knowledgeable. He took his time and explained the history of the houses. There was no real tour of the cemetery, as we were outside a locked gate, but much I fo was still given. Again, the guide was excellent.
Jim_C, Nov 2025
David was a personable and knowledgeable guide. There was a nice pace to the tour including many houses. The cemetery part of the tour is minor compared to the houses.

Loved the long walk through the Garden District, seeing the amazing architecture and hearing the iterative history of the area. David was knowledgeable about the past and present, and a great storyteller!

Excellent tour. Our guide, David, provided a wealth of information about the Garden District and Lafayette Cemetery. It was an informative, entertaining, fast-paced, two-hour tour. The meeting area was most convenient with restrooms and places to sit while waiting for the tour to begin. Highly recommend.

Great tour! David is very knowledgeable and shared facts that you wouldn’t ordinarily get to know. Also, David showed us the different architectures in the Garden District and explained the history behind them.

This was a terrific tour. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the homes and the history of the area. He gladly answered any questions we had. I would encourage anyone going to N. O. to take this tour.

It was great, he was super knowledgeable and articulate. We got to see all the best sights in the Garden District neighborhood. He kept us in the shade and he was a very easy to follow guide.

We took a tour of the Garden Quarter in New Orleans and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! Our guide, Muriel, was extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and shared so many fascinating details that brought the history of the neighborhood to life. The tour was well-organized, engaging, and full of curiosities that we would have never discovered on our own.

David was an outstanding guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and fun. Strolling through the Garden District became so much more meaningful as he shared the fascinating stories behind the beautiful historic homes, rather than us simply passing by them. His insights brought the neighborhood to life, adding depth and charm to the experience. We truly enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans.

Ann Elizabeth was savvy and kind. If you want to have a general sense of the Garden District neighborhood and the New Orleans City history, this is a great and fun thing to do. Two thumbs up for the start and finish point!
Angela_S, Jul 2025
Wonderful tour!!! Loved learning about the history of the area and seeing the gorgeous homes. Even though the cemetery was closed, we got to see it through the gates and the tour guide gave us interesting information about it.
Robert_C, Jun 2025
Probably would have given this outing a 4-star review of if wasn’t for the fact our tour guide, David, really outdid himself to make up for the fact we waited :15 on two late arrivals and the bookstore and cafe were both closed for the holiday.
He provided a detailed account of the Lafayette Cemetery and the Garden District along with some great insight as to the history of New Orleans. David is definitely a fabulous ambassador and a friendly person with some very interesting facts to share.
Worth the money if you need a reason to exercise and/or are interested in history. Don’t expect a creepy tour of the cemetery for the gates are well secured

Rob our guide was so knowledgeable. The pace was great and I got to see all the places I wanted.
Wish we could have been able to get into the cemetery, but Rob made it work.

Dave was a Great guide. Very informative and interesting tales about the homes we were seeing. I love architecture and the history behind it, so this was perfect.
No washrooms once you start so though you should bring water drink it slowly.
Renee_A, Mar 2025
Great tour, guide Dave shared lots of interesting information and was very personable. Excellent value!
Megan_O, Mar 2025
This wasn’t necessarily what we were expecting. Guide spent majority of the tour talking about filming locations or celebrities that currently live in the homes throughout the garden district. Would have loved to understand more about the neighborhoods culture and history.
Perhaps while the cemetery is closed this tour would benefit from a shortened time - ie: 1 hour / 1 hour 30 min. At times it felt as though we were just trying to fill time.
Overall, it was great to explore a part of the city that we otherwise wouldn’t have traveled to and the guides very dry sense of humor did keep us smiling.
Ben_G, Mar 2025
Very interesting tour - nice to see the opposite of Bourbon Street! Great architecture, history of the Garden Street and Lafayette Cemetary practices….
Carolyn_B, Feb 2025
Great tour with Avery knowledgeable guide. We would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in
the history of the Garden district and the cemetary.
christinegbaum, Feb 2025
Good experience and guide is knowledgeable. The pace is easy though please keep in mind you are standing/walking for two hours on uneven ground - something to consider for those with mobility issues. The tour says it includes Layfette Cemetery No 1 but the cemetery still remains closed at the time of this review. This tour is really a Garden district tour that stops by the gate of the cemetery. Still, this is an enjoyable way to explore this area and take in the small details.
Rebecca_H, Jan 2025
