I enjoy my whole tour . Kin my tour guide was the best and had so much knowledge about the history of New Orleans.
David_S, Apr 2026
Our main house tour guide was monotone, and not very much detail in his information. Watching the other guide, they had a much better presentation.
Dan_H, Apr 2026
Kin was a great tour guide! Highly recommend this tour with him as the driver. And Oak Alley is beautiful.
Erica_H, Apr 2026
Kin, our guide was a gem. Very knowledgeable and fun. He told us all about the city on the way out to our destination and had great food recommendations.
Heidi_A, Mar 2026
Awesome tour and tour guide! He knew what he was talking about. Still want to go to his mom’s house for food.
Brianna_B, Mar 2026
Excellent experience! Kindrell is very knowledgeable, accommodating, & entertaining. The Oak Alley Plantation Tour was nice, but I would like to go back for the Whitney Plantation Tour as it seems to be more focused on sharing the true experience of slaves.
KarenL_D, Mar 2026
Seating accommodations may be cramped as were on our excursion making the ride uncomfortable in both directions
Roben_S, Mar 2026
Kin, the tour guide that drove us around made the experience awesome. When in return again I will make sure I utilize him on our next tour.
Patricia_P, Feb 2026
Kin is an excellent guide. He used the ride to give us info on the history of both New Orleans and the plantations. I highly recommend taking a tour with him.
Laura_M, Feb 2026
Our tour guide, Kindrell was fabulous but Oak Alley is not the first plantation you should see. I would go to Whitney instead it’s more authentic or Laura plantation. Oak Alley was a bit sugarcoated.

Thank you for your review. I am delighted that you and your family enjoyed your day.

Our driverguide Kindrell was absolutely exceptional. From the very first moment, he was incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel completely comfortable and well taken care of. His service truly went above and beyond — always helpful, patient, and genuinely focused on making our experience special. You can tell he does his work with passion and heart. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

Great tour! Kin was very knowledgeable and so kind! He provided a full tour experience on the way to the plantation and back. I would definitely recommend.

The road trip and tour of Oak Alley was so worth the money! It was a wonderful day to see some New Orleans history. Kin was a wonderful tour guide who shared so much information on the way there and back.
Erik_H, Jan 2026
Fantastic. Kindrell was an amazing storyteller and guide, telling us all about the area and history. Really nice as a small group, only 10 people. Oak Alley is amazing.

I had a great experience visiting Oak Alley Plantation, and a big part of it was thanks to our driver, Kin. Originally from New Orleans, he shared a lot of knowledge about the city’s history during the drive and gave us excellent recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to try. He was truly great and very professional. I highly recommend him! His vehicle was also very comfortable, which made the trip even more enjoyable.
As for Oak Alley itself, the visit is interesting for anyone who wants to see the inside of a former slaveholder’s house, as both the mansion and the grounds are very well preserved. The guided tour of the house is paid, but access to the gardens and the former slave quarters is free.
If your main interest is learning more about the lives of enslaved people, I would recommend visiting Whitney Plantation instead, as it offers a deeper and more focused perspective on that history.

Its the most beautiful Plantation we have visited! The oak trees are magnificent! We were impressed by the beauty of it! The tour was fantastic, super informative about all the family history and the current state of the Plantation. Super recommended!

K's Luxury Transportation Tours to Oak Alley Plantation was GREAT for the following reasons:
1. KINDRALL (Born, raised in New Orleans, Louisiana): You really get to know the city with the knowledge of a local born and raised here. Kindrall had great info on all sorts of cultural, geopolitical, geography, city quirks, history on our way to the plantation, delivered in a dead pan but humorous tone.
2. HIGHLY ORGANIZED : Kindrall gave organized instructions and was perfectly on time to pick up all guests within the tight French Quarter during rush hour in the morning. He got us all within 30 min-window. He provided instructions and step-by-step of what to expect in the trip, with tips.
3. GREAT PRICE : For the care, organization and tips, the price is great!
4. ADDED AMENITIES IN THE VAN: Well-maintained, clean, comfortable van with power outlets for phone chargers, bottles of water for each guests, a video for the ride back home etc. It was really a great and comfortable ride.

Kindell our driver was great. He gave so much additional information about the wetlands, where to eat, Katrina and touched on other Plantations. Oak Ally was great in general information on the families who owned the house, house construction, trees, sugar crops and the enslaved lives. I will be back to tour Whitney.

Kin was a very professional and informative tour guide. Would definitely recommend. The plantation was worth the trip.
Donna_L, Dec 2025
Our driver (Kin) was 350 lbs of good humor and information!
Would highly recommend taking the trip with him.

Our bus tour guide was very informative about the history of New Orleans and the surrounding area. He was thoughtful and courteous towards his passengers. He interacted well with his guests and made sure everyone was comfortable. The tour at Oak Alley was informative and did not take long to do. It is a wonderful place to take pictures under the oaks.

This tour had multiple stops for other tours which extended our time by 2+ hours. There were 2 short tours at Oak Alley, the main house and the slave quarters. We waiting over 20 minutes for the slave quarter tour and after no one showed up to say anything a guest walked back to the house and found out there was only one tour guide and he went home sick. The driver was great and informative about the history of New Orleans. Even though the tour is advertised as a 9 am pickup and 4/12 hours this is incorrect. We were advised to be ready for pick up a 815 AM and returned back to our hotel around 245. That’s 61/2 hours for a 30 minute tour with a 70-80 minute round trip drive. Skip oak alley, go to the Whitney Plantation instead which we were told is much longer, informative and more in depth on slavery. Also check the stops of your tour so you are not traveling and waiting for other tours going on the same bus/van. .

I regret that you have not paid attention to the details. The description provides comprehensive information, including the time of pickup, estimated travel time, included activities, and the duration of the plantation visit. The overview clearly states that the tour has a duration of 4.5 to 5 hours. The pickup time is from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM on the road by 9:00 AM. The tour is expected to return to the city by 2:30 PM. Please refer to the itinerary for further details.

The plantation was lovely to visit the grounds and see the inside of the home. Our tour driver Kin was the best. He was so knowledgeable about the history of New Orleans and all of the other plantations that we didn’t visit. He was actually better than the tour itself. The only comment I would make about the tour is that the inside tour is extremely short it’s 30 minutes, but there’s not a lot of visual in there to observe. The grounds, however, are beautiful that you explore on your own.
Cheryl_M, Nov 2025
This was my 3rd time back to NOLA, and this was one of the best things I’ve ever had on my itinerary! Our guide was VERY nice, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The plantation was beautiful, and I liked how we had some downtime to look at gift shop, eat, and have a drink.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
I am pleased that you all enjoyed your day. It was an honor to guide you around. I eagerly anticipate our next encounter.
Paul_A, Nov 2025
The tour was well organized, and Kin communicated with us from start to finish. He explained all the essentials about NOLA, and the plantations history. Highly recommended!

Kindrell and his business is family oriented, prompt, organized, and comfortable. He and his wife responded to all questions and the van was clean and AC was great. He was very knowledgeable about plantation row and the area on the way to and from. I highly recommend!

Kin was amazing! He called me the night before to ensure what hotel to pick us up at. Was prompt and delivered way more insights of New Orleans that I could image. Just a perfect day with my wife and friends from New Mexico.
