The tour takes you to areas you can not go on a self guided tour. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable and added a lot to the experience. Excellent off road driver and yes that's important to this tour.

To begin with it was hard to find the check in location. The address was was pointing us to another building. When the trip started the speaker was not working so we could not hear anything. The speaker issue was eventually fixed. We weren't given much historical information on the area and some of the facts that we were given were incorrect or inconsistent. We had to literally fact check everything after the tour and do our our research. On top of that it was super dusty so it would have been much better if we explored with our own vehicle.

Learnt a lot about the Navajo people living in the valley bcoz the tour guide lives there. He’s very knowledgeable n very patient for a young man, awesome. First timer should take this tour👍

The sights were beautiful. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The roads traveled were a washboard! Unbelievably bumpy. Hold on! Advertised 15 minute photography stops. Did not happen very often, and even then the wind blew the sand and dust so hard. Don’t go with clean hair or clothes!

You go deep into Monument Valley, past the main drive. Navajo guide (Marvin) was good, giving us the names of the rocks, but I would have liked more Navajo history and detail (geologic) about the buttes and mesas we were seeing. Still, worth the money to get the full Monument Valley experience.
